We had tickets to "To Kill a Mockingbird" at the ******************** for March 13, 2024. On the ticket face, it states that parking in the adjacent parking garage was included in the purchase of ***********. When we arrived there was no attendant nor information posted at the entrance of the parking garage stating we needed to take any additional steps to take advantage of the free parking. However, 16 days later my friend received a bill in the mail that we owed a $6 parking fee, plus incurred penalty charges of almost $75 in 2 weeks! The car driven into the parking garage must be registered with Metropolis on their app to be awarded free parking. This step was not specified on the ticket nor at the parking garage entrance. When trying to resolve this issue we first contacted the ******************** and we were told they could not do anything about this and suggested that we contact Metropolis. Metropolis has no published phone number nor address, so our communication has been strictly through email. They denied our plea to release us from the $80 parking fee and penalties. If we knew to register our car, we would have done that, but that information was not detailed or highlighted on the tickets we received. I am sure we are not the only theatergoers who are being hit with an $80 parking ticket.Business Response

I was parking for the preds game, scanned the ** code an saw it was $45 to park so I closed out the app and left. At 4am, I received a text saying my parking was expiring then was charged $50+ without parking ! We left immediately and went to park at the library parking for $10 and went to the hockey game. The company needs to reverse the illegal charge.Business Response

I parked at the ******************** parking structure on 3/19. I'm a blogger and have been going to the ****** for theater shows for many years now - in the past, parking has always been free.Today I received a letter from Metropolis, whom apparently now manages the structure, saying I owe $6 in parking fees and $70.25 for not paying the fees. There were ********** in the structure saying that there is a fee to park there, no attendants present, and no tickets to enter or exit the structure.I'd like all $76.25 waived, due to this, and Metropolis should also *********** in the parking structure, explaining the $6 fee and ALSO putting their structure for not paying the fee online - it seems like there's an app or website you have to go on to pay the fee, for their other parking properties at least. Thanks.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Metropolis contacted me and said I'd still need to pay the $76.
I did contact my contact at the ******************** (I am a blogger, and they invite me to see plays there) and she said she would handle it. If she and Metropolis would like to handle it and waive the $76, I am fine with that and fine with closing this. But the response from Metropolis has not been satisfactory so far.

I am rejecting this response because:My contact at the ****** said they would contact you, for the remaining $11 and change parking charge - if they have contacted you and you have waived the charge, we are good here. Please advise. Thanks. My ******************** contact said they are in contact with the Metropolis parking manager for that location.

My complaint involves the time frame from February 10, 2024 to April 3, 2024 and involves parking violation fines for unpaid fare at the ****************************************** in ******, **. I have been a member of this **** for almost 3 years. My close friend is also a member and uses my car on occasion to park in the ***** Garage. In the past, **** parking required kiosk payment- however, the gates would often malfunction and the employees would have to let you out. Over the last 6 months, the situation was so bad that the gates were often left open. Therefore, when the **** apparently contracted with metropolis, my friend and I did not realize a switch had happened and just assumed they were temporarily allowing access for free to **** members until a solution could be reached (to address the frequently malfunctioning gate/ticket/kiosk system previously in place). Furthermore, I split my time between ******* and ****** and did not receive receipt of the Notice of Parking Violation letters from metropolis until fairly recently. Each unpaid fare carries with it a violation fine of $70.25. There were 22 tickets from the time frame listed above and therefore almost $1500 in violation fines in total. I have already disputed the fines and was told the "violations were valid." I am willing to pay the unpaid fares and negotiate the violation fines but refuse to pay more than $1500 in finesBusiness Response

Stayed at Embassy Suites over the weekend, 3/31/2024, for a concert and was told to pull my car into the parking lot next to the building by the valet. There was NEVER anyone who said ANYTHING about paying for parking/valet. We were told where to park for our hotel and we did. We woke up to an $80 ticket and now I feel like I've been scammed. I don't live in the area. There was no visible signage in our area of the lot to know that it wasn't owned by the hotel, and even if it was known that the hotel didn't own the lot, the valet shouldn't have told me to park there. Metropolis needs to send their bills/citations to Embassy Suites if they're using them in their scams. I may seek punitive damages in court.Business Response

Metropolis Parking 3/15/24 I was sent a ticket for an unpaid parking spot at their ********************************************** parking garage location. I was there for an event at The ******************** which includes FREE parking to the lot. Metropolis Parking now says that I owe $10 for unpaid fair and $70.25 for a notice fee from the 3-15-24 date. There was no signage or attendant in the lot to pay even if I thought I had to! I have used this lot for every visit I make to The ********************, I have never had to pay because I always had events tickets. Sometimes there has been an attendant and sometimes there has not been.I have reached out to the company Metropolis Technology multiple times (they only offer email) and they said that my reason was not valid and it was my duty to notify the attendant (again, there was no attendant). I submitted proof that I attended The ****** and that the theater website states that parking is included with the purchase of the tickets.I continue to open new complaints with Metropolis Parking every time they close my case. It is not closed. I have not paid the company any money as of yet.Recap:-Parking was included per the information directly from The ********************, the ticket should never have been issued.-No signage or QR codes posted -No attendant working/availableBusiness Response

Metropolis says I only need to pay the cost of the parking spot. Metropolis Parking is telling me that the spot was $15. The ticket says the spot is $10. This company is a scam but I'm will to pay the $15 and I have learned not to use their facilities in the future. Thank you for your help!

I parked in a Metropolis run garage. There was virtually no signage concerning payment, all gates were continuously up and there were no attendants present. I received a bill in the mail for a parking fee (that I wasnt even aware that I owed) plus a late fee. I disputed the charge and was sent a form email basically telling me that theyre sorry but its my fault that their signs are vague and that no one was available to help or answer questions. I would pay the initial fee, minus the late fee, but their website wont allow you to do that. They have no payment address to send a check to, either. I feel that this is a scam, basically a way to charge people more money by being inherently, purposefully vague so that they can mail a bill to you with a passed due charge when in fact, you didnt even know you owed any money in the first place. Also, forcing people to give you their credit card information is not right.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I feel that this company purposefully makes it difficult to communicate with customers. Their supposed signage is not as assessable as they claim, there are no working gates, kiosks dont work, there are no actual employees present to help and then they send a bill with a late notice..how would a person know they were late? Telling me that I didnt register an account with them first is ridiculous. I wasnt moving in I was parking for a few hours. Why would anyone need to open an account to park a car? Then theres the payment site, which gives no option but to pay with a credit card. No thank you, Id feel safer sending a cashier check. This company has literally thousands of complaints from numerous states, and with good reason. I had stated to them that Id be willing to pay the $40 fee for my time in their garage that day, but not the additional $20 late fee. They sent a reply generously cutting the fine down to $14.75but raised the actual parking fee to $45.25. Now, I may not be a math wiz, but I do believe that $45.25 + $14.75 equals, you guessed it, $60. Seriously?
Sincerely,

I have been charged for parking and I did not park in the garage on 3/24/2024 on *************** retail lot in *********, **. I previously paid for parking prior on a different date but I was home all day on 3/24/2025 that was not my car. BKH8979 is my friends car not mine and she paid for her parking. They also charged her boyfriends card as well. The parking at this point has been paid 3 times of $37.80. They refuse to give me a refund and state I need to get with my friend for the refund. This is ridiculous I even showed proof of other payment. How can they charge 3 different people for the same car parking 1 time? I need my money refunded to my credit card and it is not as simple as getting from my friend especially when you charged them as well. My credit card will accrue interest from a parking payment that I am not responsible for.Business Response
