I am reaching out to submit a formal complaint against Metropolis Payments related to an unresolved parking violation issue. Despite my efforts to rectify this matter directly with the company, I have not been provided with adequate proof to back the claim that my vehicle, bearing the license plate number *********, was parked unlawfully at their facility. The parking violation notice was issued on 01/18/2024, but it wasn't until 03/10/2024 that I became aware of this notice. In pursuit of clarity and verification of the claim, I contacted Metropolis Payments on March 11th, 2024, requesting evidence of the supposed illegal parking. The company's response was that they could not supply images or detailed logs to prove the violation, citing their policy and operational procedures, which has left me without any tangible proof of the alleged infraction. This predicament is particularly troubling as it not only involves an unjust fine but also complicates my dealings with ****, from whom the vehicle was rented. Consequently, I am seeking the assistance of the Better Business Bureau to help secure the following resolutions:1. **Revocation of the Fine:** Due to the absence of evidence demonstrating that my vehicle was parked illegally, I request the fine be cancelled. 2. **Issuance of a Formal Statement:** I am asking Metropolis Payments to issue a statement exonerating my name and account, explicitly stating I owe no fines. This documentation is critical for me to clear up any misunderstandings with **** and affirm my freedom from any related financial responsibilities.Metropolis Payments' failure to provide concrete evidence for the parking violation raises significant concerns about their transparency and highlights a notable deficiency in customer service. I trust that the intervention of the Better Business Bureau will facilitate a fair and equitable solution to this issue.I appreciate your attention to this complaint.

1/28/24 I received the first billing for this bogus parking violation from Metropolis. I wrote them a letter and emailed them. I told them no one got OUT of the car NOR did they PARK. The car drove thru the end of the lot actually, trying to turn around bc traffic was horrible (New Years) and had to wait a few minutes to turn around,, BUT DID NOT PARK! The pictures are very dark and vehicle is unrecognized actually. I received an email back from them (enclosed) that said the ticket was SOLVED. Their words were" this means that your dispute is considered settled and is ready to automatically close in 48 hours" THEN, on 3/6/24 someone drove by my house in AL and put another ticket in my mailbox about 9PM (on my camera)-- The envelope which i have is plain with no postage marking on it at all and I showed it to my postmaster and she said no prepaid postage on the address either to scan--- they put this in my mailbox without using the postal system obviously and that is frightening to me coming all the way to AL to do this or hiring someone here to do this. Using a federal mailbox is just not appropriate. I wrote them yet another letter dated 3/7/24 (attached) and emailed them. The girl this time said, NO the ticket is still active but she said the amount is $70.25 and not the $110.25 that is showing on the one received and she would reduce to $54.00 if I would pay it. I DID NOT PARK and I will NOT pay this bogus ticket. I see there are many disputes about this company, and I am adding mine. I did NOT park. I did NOT get out of the car. I only turned around and hardly used the lot actually to do that--- it was new years and extremely busy with tons of traffic. They have 17 min the car was "in" the lot--- I suppose it did sit on the street in front of the lot for that long so traffic could move up, BUT WE WERE NOT parked in that lot!!!! I see online they have 15 min ******* but on new years they better extend that. No service was used.

*********** sent me an email stating that their automated AI camera system did not read someones licence plate correctly.  It confused their plate number and for some reason made up the numbers and came up with my plate instead.  It automatically charged to my bank account.  *********** stated that they will reimburse my $42.00.  I am still waiting for that.

It is very intrusive and scary when companies try to take the human interaction out of their process. These AI stuff is very dangerous. Cameras fail in this case.

Please keep this complaint open until I receive my money back.

      Thank you.

I paid in advance to park at the ****** between 5pm and 11pm on January 28, 2024. We entered and exited during that time. I have receipt from Parkopedia and bank statement showing I was charged same day. Metropolis sent me a bill to pay $50 with Notice of Failure to Pay Parking Fares which is untrue. I paid our dues and there is no need to be charged again.

In February 12th, 2024 I took my sister to downtown ******* to go to the court house. Seen a pretty empty lots about 2 block away so I decided to park there. My sister and I have never used this company before and got help from the lot attendant. He literally walked us through each screen on the app and proceeded to tell me we were all set for 2 hours of parking on February 12th 2024 and that we would get a text if time was getting low to add more money. We never got a text. We get dome what we need to get done and when we get back to my car I had a ticket. I parked at 1:02pm I got a $112 parking ticket at 2:10pm. That is not 2 hours. They claimed I never paid for parking. I sent them the charge eight from My bank account showing the transaction was on 2/12. This company charged me $21 for 24 hour parking for MAY 2022. 652 DAYS IN THE PAST. After days of waiting for an email response after sending screenshot after screenshot proving that I paid on the day I parked and that their system mixed up dates somehow. They continue to tell me that I parked there in May of 2022 even though I have never been to downtown ******* before especially never in 2022. They do not care and refuse to listen to me. They are now charging me again for February 12th **************************************************************************** 2022 and never paid. First of all, how in the world would it have not been taken care of in 2022? 652 days ago? It take you 652 to notice someone never paid? Maybe because I never parked there! The system even shows Feb 12 2024 and once clicked it shows may 2022 showing well over ****** hours being parked on February 12th. They reduced the charges to $51 and I paid it to not incur any more charges but I want my money back because I did in fact pay the day I parked and I have proof. They refuse to listen to me and have no number to speak to someone. They are charging me twice for parking on February 12th 2024. $21 day of and now and additional $51 today.

Metropolis has been in charge of the valet service at my building. They are incompetent at best, and horrific at worst.Since I moved into this building, I've dealt with the following:--My car smelling like marijuana from attendants.--Several of the valets have synced their phones to my vehicle (can provide video of the names of attendants who have synced their phones to my vehicle). --flat tire that they skirted responsibility for.--dents all over my vehicle that they have skirted responsibility for (deleted archived footage). They should be banished from doing business anywhere, especially in Tennessee.

The car in the photo on the ticket sent is not my vehicle. It appears to be a Land Rover SUV possibly black in color. I don't own a vehicle like the one in the photo. My vehicle has a similar tag but the one on the photo provided is basically unreadable. I have attached a photo of my PICKUP TRUCK that carries this tag (see attached photos of tag and truck). I was not in ********* on the date in question as I was at work in *******, **. I would like to have this violation removed from my name and find the person or persons that were parked in the lot. I would like acknowledgment this violation has been resolved.

This is in regards to parking at Premier Parking 222 Garage We parked here and used the validation we received from Hampton social and were told it would be $7 for parking. Upon exiting, we were blocked from getting out of the lot by a truck, no fault of our own. And it charged us $31.50 because we were ONE minute over 3 hours. ONE minute. This is absolutely absurd. I will never again park here. You people are CROOKS!

Hello, I have a monthly parking subscription through my employer that is facilitated through Metropolis. I pay a monthly subscription fee (since 2021). Today I was charged $25.26 on top of my monthly subscription. I opened a ticket with Metropolis, without any additional assistance, they informed me I don't have a subscription and charged me $25.26 upon leaving the garage. This is unacceptable to take payment without approval from an individual.

Hello, On Dec. 26th 2023 I was traveling on vacation and stayed at a hotel across from the Metropolis parking lot on 3rd street in *********. I pulled into the lot and pulled up to one of their signs and completed the stated steps for payment. I was charged $15, bank statement attached. The bank statement is for "Contactless Payment" which is what was on the sign in their parking lot. I followed the steps exactly and got a payment confirmation. They are saying "sorry, Metropolis Payments didn't get the payment so now you owe $83". If their sign is wrong that's on them, not me. When I went in the hotel they suggested not parking there as they are crooks and send everyone bills for more than stated. I took my car out after only 15min but still paid the $15. A month later I got a bill stating that I was there for 15min and the charge was $13.11 but since I didn't pay I now owed $83. I sent them the bank statement and told them I paid and am not going to give them $83 for 15min of parking. They responded saying the payment went to someone else and not them so I still owe them $83. This is exactly what the hotel staff told me would happen. This is a criminal organization that is just praying on people and expecting them to pay all of these charges out of fear it will hurt their credit or something. This needs to be stopped. I want this company to drop this charge and I now want them to personally send me a check for $1.89 since I apparently overpaid. This business needs to be shut down immediately. I went online and found countless articles and redit posts from people experiencing this daily. I am having a cease and desist order drafted by my lawyer and if they don't drop this I will proceed with legal action at their expense for all legal fees. I want this officially noted and added to the countless other complaints. Thank you.
