Received a bill from Metropolis that for Notice of Parking Violation. They are charging me unpaid fare of $12.00 and violation fine of $30.25. They say I parked at ***************************************************************** on December 11, 2023. The total amount is $42.25. It has the license plate which is my plates which I don't know where they got this from. They send a picture which is hard to see but it looks like its a white jeep. In which I don't own a white automobile what so ever. I have not gone to ******* since we used to take our kids to Astro World. I am disabled and I have not driven since 2012. This bill does not show no phone number. I searched for it and they want me to pay from an app. It says to go to payments.metropolis.io. says no checks or cash are not accepted. I have not paid this and do not intend to because we have not gone to ******* in years. This sounds like a scam to me. It has as my violation number as ***********.

I am being billed and fined for supposedly parking in their lot on ******** ***********. I live in ********* **. The date of the violation is October 22, 2023. I had a total knee replacement on Oct 18, 2023. I was incapable of driving due to opioid painkillers I have written to them with no reply, The bill has a picture of my license tag which is so dark as to be unreadable, not even a car can be seen. Their procedure to appeal is cumbersome, an for someone who remembers black and white TV, difficult. I want them to stop the billing

On the morning of November 26, 2023 we parked at Premiere Parking 222 Garage, owned by Metropolis Parking, in ********* to attend a Titans football game. Upon entering and parking we noted QR codes bolted in various locations around the parking garage. We followed the directions in the nearest QR code and entered our parking space # and car license # and then paid the $17 it requested. We did not receive a receipt after payment, but the payment posted to our checking account that evening. On December 23, 2023 I received a bill from Metropolis stating that I had not paid the $30 fee and they were fining me an additional $70. They do not have a contact # to dispute so I began an email correspondence with their company supplying them with a snap shot of the payment on my bank acct and the process we took in their garage. They refused this as proof of payment and requested a prepaid confirmation for the parking space. We pulled in parked and paid, no prepaid reservation confirmation to provide. They came back stating that the charge on my acct was not from them, but we only parked in that garage, walked to and from the game, left the garage and drove home to ********. Multiple times over the course of the past 5 days I have explained the steps we took and the payment we made and have requested that she provide me with how the payment would look from them posted to my acct and they have continued to ignore my request, simply stating that the charge on my acct is not them. I have explained that if that payment was not from them that I need to file a fraud complaint with my bank and then I would be more than happy to pay the $30 parking fee. They have offered a discount on the fine, but since we followed the directions in their unmanned parking garage and made a confirmed payment I do not feel we should pay there fine. If some other company has come into their garage and altered their QR codes, then that is their issue, not my fault.

I parked in a Metropolis parking lot for less than 1 hour. The stated charge was to be $5.00. They charged me for 3 hours ($15) plus a fee that was not disclosed until the next day when I received the receipt. I have requested a refund and have received emails from Metropolis with no resolution. They asked if my license plate was something other than what it is and have now asked for a photograph of my license plate. I am not willing to provide them with any further personal information and would like them to process the refund that they owe me.

On the evening of October 20, 2023, my husband and I were going to dinner at the Continental in downtown ********* before seeing Wicked at ****. We pulled into the Metropolis parking lot at *************** and scanned the ** code to see how much parking would cost. When it said $42 for ********************************************************************** 2 (for the time we would eat dinner only). When that information was not shown, we moved our car to the Valet for the restaurant- a minute or two later from when we entered the parking lot. We were shocked to see later that evening that our credit card had been charged the full $42 even though we had chosen NOT to park there given the lack of information provided for parking less than the 10 hours. We submitted our dispute to Metropolis who declined to refund us the excess charge. We submitted the dispute with our credit card company and it is still working on being resolved.

I pulled over into an empty, unattended lot to take a quick phone call.I left immediately after the phone call, less than 15 minutes later. I never left my vehicle. No prices for parking were listed anywhere on the lot.Weeks later I received a $90 fine in the mail from this private company. The disputes department is unwilling to rescind the charge. And they are also asking me to sign up for their website to pay the fee, as well as charge me if I ever accidentally drive through any of their other lots in the future.

After continually telling me there was no way they could reverse the charge, they finally did after I filed a complaint with BBB and the attorney general.

In regards to ****** dispute, on 8/10/23, I entered the parking structure at **************************** to attend a dinner. When I arrived, there was a sign on the entry kiosk that states pull forward. Upon entering the garage, I saw no visible signs of pay to park. When I left the garage, I pulled up to the exit and the arm was up, same was as when I pulled in. There was no parking attendant either to address. I assumed because of all the above, that there was no charge for parking that late in the day. I have no issue paying for the $10 parking fee as that is what is owed. However, I received a ticket stating the ticket was unpaid and adding an additional $70 fine! I was given no chance to pay the $10 that was supposedly owed and due, which I would be more than happy to address. However, a $70 fine is ridiculous for something that wasn't clear in their structure and from what I can tell, has happened to many others.

This company manages several parking facilities in *******. They commonly list them as open and free to park, then send you a violation in the mail for not paying for parking. The fines are extremely excessive, borderline criminal. $90.25 for 1 hour of parking when the lot was open (arm was up and no option to even take a ticket) and free on weekends. I will also be filing a complaint with the ******** *************************
