I dropped my daughter off at a building at ****************************************************** Tennessee ***** on March 12, 2023. Returned to pick her up 1.5 hours later. Signs posted show a 1 hour free parking. I was inside less than 5 minutes each time.Metropolis sent me a parking violation for being in garage over one hour. That was not the case. Have another parent, that did stay, willing to testify that she saw me leave building and was there when I drove back into building later.Have tried to dispute online and left voice and emails with metropolis with no return call or email. Please advise how to reach a human or in person review.Business Response

A DAY PASS was purchased from Metropolis Payment on 3/18/23. One of the parking tickets was disputed and resolved due to collecting the wrong license plate number by their equipment. The second parking ticket was disputed and denied. I was not informed that a DAY PASS ends when leaving the premises until my dispute was denied by Metropolis Payments, thus I was fined $100.25.Business Response

Violation number *********** I parked in their lot at ********************** on 18 Feb 2023. I read the directions, filled out the form online, and it notified me that I would be charged when I left the lot. According to their website I should have been charged about $8. I checked their site for 2-3 days after I left, and the page never updated, never charged me, and kept saying that I owed $0. I never got a chance to pay the $8, or an other amount.More than a month later, I received a letter in the mail saying that I owed the $8, and a $70 "ticket fine". It listed the wrong license plate number, so I assume that their cameras or system mistakenly didn't charge me, causing the apparent violation. I filled out a dispute online with an explanation, and was told that I still owed the ticket and fine (with no explanation). After I explained the situation further, they tried to lower the fine to $50, still with no explanation. I suspect that they know they made an error, and refuse to admit it.Although they don't offer a phone number, I managed to contact their support line. That person told on the phone that there must have been a mistake, and that I didn't owe anything, because the violation belonged to someone else (likely the license plate they thought was mine. Then a month after that (today, 24 April 2023), I received another letter in the mail saying that I owed the same amount. As I informed them, I'm more than willing to pay the $8 parking fee, but I can't and won't pay their $70 penalty because their system made an error and didn't allow me to pay my bill. They won't allow me to just pay the $8.After looking online, it seems that countless other people have had this same issue with them, and that Metropolis is predatory at best. Please call me *************) or email ********************** to advise on how I should handle this issue. Thanks!Business Response

I recently parked in a lot owned by Metroplolis this is a lot Ive used before on various occasions and on average I had been charged $13 or so to park there for 3 hours or so. This particular evening the night of April 20, I was charged $40 for just over 2 hours of parking. Nothing was posted, no warning that it would be so expensive. This is a company which seemingly charges whatever it wants to, and even admitted as much when I called to complain, they stated that they decided to charge a flat rate of $40 for that evening without cause. I am very upset that a company is able to operate under that blatant violation of public trust.Business Response

On March 11, 2023, we visited the Gulch area in ********* to eat. We parked in a parking garage that had no kiosk or attendant to collect payment. We looked around for a way to pay and noticed a sign on the wall with a QR code to scan for payment. We did not feel comfortable putting our credit card information in due to the possibility of criminals placing false signage and gaining access to credit card information. A month later we received a bill for $10 for parking. In addition, they added $70 in violation fees. The amount of the parking seems fair and reasonable; however, the violation fee is ridiculous. We would have gladly paid at the garage if there was a way to do so where we felt our information was secure.Business Response

Metropolis charged me a $70 fine for driving through its parking lot, and stopping for my elderly mother and special needs family members to get out. The parking time listed is wrong. Also, attempted to pay via the app, but it was down and would not pull up. They have refused to adjust the time in and time out, despite proof stating otherwise.Business Response

Im reporting Metropolis parking garages for highly unscrupulous business practices. Im seeking guidance from the BBB. What if anything should I do? Are there any pending government fines or class-action lawsuits against Metropolis?Metropolis business model is to trick customers into not paying while exiting a parking garage, and then subsequently charge enormous fines in my case a ***** % fine, which is predatory.Details:-I parked at one of their ******* garages for about an hour on January 3, 2023. Upon entry I wasnt presenting with a parking stub.-Upon exiting the ********* did not see any signage indicating how or where to pay, and there wasnt any liftgate to block exit until payment was made. So, I assumed there was no charge.-I later learned by license plate was photographed upon entry to and exist from the garage.-Subsequently, Metropolis Payments sent me a letter stating I didnt pay a $4 parking fee and they are charging me a fine $70.24. This includes a threat to send this to a debt collection agency. -Metropolis refers to this as their violation number ***********Business Response

I've recently tan in to an issue with their app malfunctioning to the point I couldn't pay/add a plate for my new car, so i left and parked else where without parking in their lot. Mckinley Payments mailed me a "parking ticket" for $81 demanding payment under threat of potential legal action. After bringing the malfunction to their attention, they continually tried spin the blame away from them selves, saying condescendingly that I must not be using the app correctly and that the signs posted provide instruction. Not taking into account that the signs don't have anything to do with the functionality the app, the app that I've used dozens of times before. The best ive been offered is a reduction of the violation to $50.00 which needs to be lowered to $0.00 the Violation number is ***********Business Response
