I paid for 1 hour of parking in a parking lot. I came to my car 15 Mins before my time was up to find a boot on my car. After I showed the guy that I had indeed paid, he charged me $50 to take the boot off my car. He mentioned that my license plate number was different. He told me I was Negligent because I did not take out the information and change the number they automatically stored from an event 4 months ago. I didnt even know they saved my license plate information. He stated there was a prompt, however I do not remember the app telling me to enter anything upon payment. This turned my $15.99 into $75. Even though I paid. stayed with in my time, and was following ******. This should be considered unlawful. They are misleading people and stealing money from them.

We were out of town visitors (from **********) to ********* on December 26, 2022. We parked our vehicle at two separate lots that day as we walked around the city. When we returned to the lots, we had difficulty in paying the parking fee through their system . In addition, it was our understanding that the day after Christmas was a Federal and State Holiday and were unsure if a parking fee was required on that day. We received two separate notices from the ***************** Metropolis Payments (Violation *********************** 443-255-494) with substantial additional Ticket Fines of $25.25 & $70.25 over and above the parking fees.. We have no problem paying the parking fees, but am very much opposed to paying these very high Penalty Ticket Fines as this really appears to be very unfair. We would appreciate your help and guidance in intervening, so that we can pay the parking fees without paying these large penalty fees. Thank You very much. Sincerely, ***********************, ****************************************************************** (Cell # ************)

My wife and I were traveling in downtown ********* and stopped in an empty parking lot to get directions for two minutes. We were not aware we were being charged the entire time just to have our car idling. We received a bill for $71.50. This is highway robbery and thievery, plain and simple. I don't understand how this is even legal to charge this much when people are already struggling with money and unemployment. I demand this bill be adjusted to remove these ridiculous fines.

Here's my email to the company (via Metropolis Payments) to dispute the charges. The summary is that I receive two parking tickets because I could not sign up to pay using their online system. Their system did not send me a verification code to be able to sign up online and pay. I left one parking lot to find another parking lot, resulting in two tickets. I have tried to dispute the charges, but they have denied the dispute without any explanation.**I am reaching out in regard to the violation numbers (356-692-551) and (424-012-851).I was not able to sign up because there seemed to be errors with the authentication codes. I first parked my car on ******************. I attempted to sign up with my phone number but did not receive an authentication code immediately. I ended up requesting for an authentication code multiple times, and by the time the authentication code started being texted to me, none of the authentication codes worked for me. I then left the parking lot to see if I could try another parking lot.I pulled up to *************., tried the same thing, but none of the authentication codes worked. After trying multiple times, I decided to leave.I left the second parking lot at 10:56am, but I kept getting authentication code texted to me until 12:25pm. I ended up having to leave the appointment in the middle to attempt parking at a different parking lot. I ended up having to cancel the appointment ultimately because the second parking lot didn't work out for **** live in ********** **, and had to drive 4 hours in total for an appointment that I ultimately had to cancel because the system didn't work and I couldn't pay. And now I have two tickets because I was trying to attempt to find a parking lot that I could pay.Could you please reconsider the parking ticket? Thanks for your consideration.**

This business is fraudulent and its almost as if we are being scammed . I literally stopped dropped someone off then left the parking lot and I was ticketed . Mind you I am not from the area and after scoping the whole parking lot their were no parking meters in sight!! I demand this ticket be cancelled .

I received a parking ticket (#***-668-296) from Metropolis for parking in a garage that did not have signs that specify there was a fee or fines for parking there.Metropolis is not following the law. The city regulates signage for parking operators and they did not have adequate signage at the parking garage that stated any parking fees or fines. It is a requirement in the ********* city code for signs to have fees and fines listed on the signs (see Title ************ II, Chapter 13.40.040.G). Metropolis isn't following the ordinance, so they are in violation of the license the city granted them for that parking garage. They issued me an unlawful parking fine. I tried to appeal my parking ticket online stating this fact and I got a response back that said they were denying my appeal. The law is very clear on signage and they aren't following it. I don't deserve to pay this fine if they're not following the law. In fact, Metropolis should have its license revoked at this garage until their signage is updated to code.

I am rejecting this response because they reached out and only offered to reduce the fine to $50 from $80.25. However, I shouldn't have to pay any of the fine because even though they have signs at the parking garage about how to park, the signs do not state that there is a fee or any fines anywhere which is a city requirement. The law is clear. I am happy to pay the $10 parking fee, but to give me a fine when they are not following the law is hypocritical and unlawful itself.

      Sincerely,

On December 20th, I went to ******************** in Downtown *********. I parked in this parking lot where I didnt see anywhere you had to pay so I stayed where I was left my car for only 1 hour or hour and a half , came back and seen I had a ticket so I tried to call the place to see whats going on so nobody answered, I couldnt find the place to pay for it online , i couldnt find where I should scan the ticket so I jus decided to wait. A couple of days passed and the ticket was gone. Never threw it away , kept it in the same place in my car so now Im not able to scan it nor pay for it so I dont know what to do at this point.

My daughter parked a car registered to me in the ********* garage. Her stay was approximately two hours and 15 minutes, which calls for a six dollar payment. The gates to enter and exit were up, and the card reader was not working. I received a violation from Metropolis payments, which has the exact same address as McKinley for $76 and 25. The fine is ****% of the parking fee, I am happy to pay the six dollar fee despite the fact that none of their equipment was working but a $70.25 fine is excessive, and does not meet the test of being commercially reasonable. I have seen many other complaints regarding this company. It appears as though their business model preys on people by charging excessive and unjustified fees, that they have arbitrarily set.Thank you, *******************

Parked in a free 1 hour lot. No gate, no ticket, no employee. Left lot apparently 1 second too late, charging $76.00. *********************************. Should have to provide a ticket to allow customers to know that you are one second too late. This is unethical
