Parked in a garage next to *********************. Didn't see a sign about paying for parking, didnt see a machine to collect parking, garage was open with no gates. Nothing indicated a need to pay. Received a "ticket" for $76.25. $6 Parking and $70 in fines. This is nuts.

I am rejecting this response because:

Candidly,I looked for any and all signs and must have missed all of them.

Nevertheless, the image you sent of the Maximum Booting Fee indicates the Maximum fee of $50. Your notice indicates a fare of $76.25.

It seems that you have over charged $20.25 from your posted notice.

Complaint When Saturday, December 17, 2022 Where Surface Parking Lot ************************************************************************************************** Event dispute over validity of booting/fining practice Please know that Premier ********************************************* Parking working with Tri Star Enforcement LLC perpetrated a scam to take money from me. After following distinct instructions on how to pay for parking received on my cell phone c/o a website controlled by these individuals my vehicle was booted and labeled as not paying. Calling the referenced phone # listed on the w/s notice left on my vehicle the individual who answered the phone appeared at my car, 30 minutes after the call, and told me that I had not followed the instructions correctly so it was my burden to pay $75 to remove the restraint. After extensive conversation he offered to end the event quickly by reducing the amount required to $50. My wife capitulated& paid him despite ************* not to give in to his scam. It is my belief the individual, who said his name was Officer ******* orchestrated the entire event knowing in a position of duress the typical victim would give in and pay the reduced fee to simply shorten the event extortion is the proper word for his actions. Further, I asked to see his official state issued enforcement ******** **** refused to present same. Continuing, his vehicle bore a non commercial license plate but it was signed as if it was a business owned/operated vehicle. Further evidence of the improper activity of all the companies/individuals involved in the scam. I want a refund for my wifes payment of the $50. I want the companies perpetrating this illegal operation exposed. I want the Metropolitan ********* Davidson County Govt informed of all the scam activities conducted by this company under the cloud of jurisdictional authority (Metro ********* Law). It is my hope and desire that the license to conduct business held by these crooks be revoked. I look forward to your assistance.

I received a parking violation $*********** from Metropolis Payments that notified me I was in violation for not paying for parking in the Second Avenue Garage on 11/5/22. The total bill is included in the supporting documents below. I've parked with this company multiple times before and used their automatic parking app but recently received a new license plate. After receiving the parking bill further inspection noticed that the license plate on my car, *******, was inputed into the app incorrectly as 555WYXZ. (Because BBB guidelines say not to include personally identifiable information the license plate numbers used are an example). It is also possible that I forgot to update the license plate on my car when I parked in this garage and the change was made later. I've reached out to Metropolis to explain the situation with the intent to pay for the proper time the car was parked in the garage but have only received automated responses that do not address this unique situation. If you are able to help in any way that would be greatly appreciated! Please feel free to reach out to me at ************ if you have any questions. Thanks!

I parked in one of their properties 11/30/22 from 18:07-20:30. My phone was dead and there was no other way to pay. I waited for a paper copy and was charged $16.43 for the visit then a $70.25 fine fee. How am I supposed to pay without a phone? They provide no alternatives or directions for alternates in a reasonable manner for a perspective client to understand.

I had to report for jury duty - there were instructions on where to park. I thought I was in the right location per the court instructions, but turns out, I wasn't. I was dismissed from jury duty. Court personnel advised that I was parked in the wrong location - so I left immediately to leave the parking lot. I received violation *********** from Metropolis payments, ****************************************************************, for $74.25. This is a ticket fine of $70.25. I entered the lot @ 8:08 am and left at 8:34 am on 8/22/22. I called to dispute the charge with McKinley payments and also sent an email to them - they rejected my dispute claim. I saw this on channel 4 news that there have been multiple complaints about this same issue. I paid this ticket online on 10/3/22, but would appreciate the BBB help to get McKinley to reimburse me the ticket fine of $70.25 please. Thank you.

Recently, I received two parking tickets in the mail from Metropolis Payments for the use of the *********************************** garage in *********, **. These tickets were for use of the garage on 10/07 in the afternoon and again in the evening. When I entered the first time, I saw an attendant but received no ticket for entry. I accessed the ** code, but I was unsure of how I to pay. I entered my credit card onto the site from the ** code. When I left the first time, the attendant was no longer there, and I could not determine how to pay thinking that there would be directions at the arm which restricts entrance and exit of the garage. There was no signage explaining how to pay by that mechanical arm. I had to leave to pick up my wife and we returned to this garage intentionally so that we could figure out how to pay. We attended an event on Vanderbilts campus, but again, we could not figure out how to pay when we left the second time.Shortly thereafter, I received two parking tickets from Metropolis charging for the parking fare ($11.00 and $9.00, respectively), but in each instance, we also were charged with a $70.25 fine. I will pay the parking fare, but the parking fines are egregious. I filed an appeal, and they asked for pictures or receipts. I didn't have any receipts (that's the problem) and initially indicated to them the I didn't have pictures of the signage. They denied my claim. That evening, I went back to the garage and took a couple of pictures (submitted here). I also scanned the ** code to access their website and found where I tried to register my card (another picture submitted here). They did not respond to my request. I later resubmitted my request which was denied again. I believe their payment practices are unclear and the fines are not justified given the lack of process clarity. The picture shows that I registered a credit card, but they did not charge when I left the parking lot.

This is a dispute between myself and Metropolis Payments that took over for Premier Parking. I was parked at a function on August 27, 2022. As I exited my car I walked up and attempted to pay by scanning a code. Since the app did not work, I thought they would send me an amount to pay for parking via mail. They sent me an amount to pay alright. They sent me a ticket for $110.25 which breaks down as $40 dollars for an unpaid fare and $70.25 for the fine. I couldn't believe it! The ticket number is ***********. They actually fined me when their app was inoperable which is beyond the pale. Further, they have no number anywhere on the ticket or method to dispute that I could see which tells me they are not operating in good faith. They surely have a way to pay for this unconscionable ticket. I think these are very shady business practices and I am insisting that they tear this ticket up.

I have received two tickets from Premier Parking for alleged nonpayment violations that occurred on November 9. Each ticket corresponds to utilizing a Metropolis/Premier (hereinafter referred to as M/P) owned parking ********* visited such a garage in the past and had a previous experience and was therefore relieved to see these particular garages were owned by M/P as my license plate and a valid credit card were saved in the M/P app, eliminating the need for me to pay for parking at a machine. The way these garages are supposed to operate is upon entering, a camera reads the license plate of the vehicle and begins a parking session. Then, a camera will read the plate as the vehicle exits the garage and the owner will be billed for the time spent in the garage. This is exactly how my experience played out in February. This time, however, was anything but pleasant. Once parked, I opened the M/P app to verify my session had begun and attempted to start one manually, but was met with an "Operation invalid" message or something along those lines. I attempted this no less than five times before I concluded the app wouldn't begin a session because one had already begun (as it was supposed to). This happened at each of the two garages. I filed a dispute with M/P which kicked off a series of emails between myself and agent ******** Y. She did not read anything I said, did not ask any questions, and was entirely dismissive. Furthermore, she flat-out lied to me saying there was no phone number I could call to speak with someone about my dispute. I located a number and spoke with a very friendly agent on a recorded line who confirmed my account was set up correctly and I should have only been charged the $10.57 I owed for the time spent parked. I then confronted ******** with this information and received no reply until I ended up paying the tickets out of wanting to avoid even more issues. I do not owe them an additional $140 for their malfunctioning app, in my opinion.

Received a ticket for parking. App did not work and was not charged for parking. First hour free and parked six minutes past one hour. Was sent a notice for $76 dollars. Spoke with customer service they stated they do not have a number to file a complaint, an address to send in a complaint, nor were they willing to give last name or employee ID number to reference the conversation.
