This parking lot operator engages in deceptive business practices. Metropolis Technologies will add junk fees to the price displayed on signs at the entrances to their lots. Perhaps the fee is disclosed in the terms of service on their website, but that is not available until an unsuspecting driver has already parked and opened the app. Complaining about the practice will produce only an explanation that they charge a service fee, because apparently the price we pay for parking doesn't cover the service?

I do not even want to give this company one star. It is a scam. They use an intentionally-confusing app which functions poorly. You think you have paid for parking only to return and find a ticket or a boot on your vehicle. They use a third party company to "enforce" parking, even though we would have no idea that was the case. They take advantage of vulnerable individuals, tourists, and those who may not fully understand the app. We received a ticket for over $100, and our family member's car was booted. In both cases, we completed the app purchase, but conveniently it did not complete on their end. Not because our payment method failed, but because apparently the word FINISH does not actually mean you are done.My brother had to pay $175 to have the boot removed. That company is TRI-STAR. This is criminal activity and someone in the city government needs to investigate this further. As a side note-for those who have the "premier parking" app, metropolis has been given all of your personal information, credit card numbers, license plate numbers, etc. When you drive into a lot it scans your plate-whether you have agreed to this or not. They have the technology to notify you via text when someone other than yourself is parking your car- but apparently no ability or process to notify you if there were any issues with the app or you are at risk of ticketing or booting. Do NOT park in a premier or metropolis lot. We had someone with limited mobility with us, and parked there to make the one block walk easier. One block away. And yet somehow we had no idea that we were in violation of anything. Again - this is a scam and we need a class action suit.

Total racket. They handle the parking for a suburban ********************. Parked on the street and the app not working properly - finally worked but then we were 4 mins late coming out and fined $35. All the cars parked outside on the street had citations. Im not sure they bothered to check if people had even paid off parking or not. On a Sunday afternoon in the suburbs. Will not go to **************** again because of this.

Horrible experience. I stopped at a business that had just changed locations to a building with a Metropolis lot. I was in and out in under five minutes. I spoke to the attendant who said it was fine. Over a month later, I got a $70 bill ($30 in unpaid fare and $40 in fines). I would have had no issue with paying the $5 or $10 that the parking would have been (for five minutes) but the attendant told me it was okay. I filed a dispute online and got a response back saying "no." I asked for a timestamp of when I arrived and when I left and the company never responded. These lots are taking over the city, be aware of this!

They're awful and never issued me a ticket but sent me a threat to turn my unpaid violation, that I never received, to a collection agency. I also had a pass in my window that I thought was valid but apparently it wasn't and they decided to send this violation almost a month later. You guys are jerks and I hope ************ runs you guys out of town.

I had parked at **************************************** on 27-May for about an hour and SP+ raised parking violation for parking at **** ******* with amount totaling to $85. This is too much of penalty and that too for wrong location

I raised dispute with SP+ , nobody bothered to ask for any information or evidence etc, just concluded the dispute in their own terms. Total of $85 for parking an hour and that too at night around 9 pm is definitely a overcharge.

This company's "violation fine" is excessive and should be illegal.

My experience is very similar to others on this post. I pulled into the wrong garage. The right garage was actually across the street. I was there a total of 11 min which is the time in and out on the security camera. I did park during that time but quickly realized I was in the wrong garage. I left and all this took place in 11 min. They charged me $6 for parking and $70 for not paying. I disputed the charge and they said they were going to give me a break by only charging $15. This is a rip off! They did not read my email either. It was like I was dealing with a distracted person.

I pulled into the McKendrick parking garage in Nashville. Had to drive to the top floor to find a spot. I had trouble with the parking machine, so I left garage. I was in facility for 12 minutes. I received a ticket for $100. They did knock off $50 but said I still owe $40. I didn't park in their facility. Normally there is a grace period at a facility for lack of parking spaces or trouble with the machines. These people are ripping off the consumers. Does anyone know how to resolve the rip off, or are we destined for credit collectors to harass us? In reading the reviews, I am not the only person that this is happening to. I signed up to their website as their email to me indicated that if I did this they would waive the $40. Now being told I misunderstood the email. Absolute crooks.
