Absolutely horrible! No one will answer the phone. The violation we received was sent to the rental car company. The rental car company just paid it without verifying it was a valid charge. I have been trying to get a copy of the violation for a couple weeks now. They will only communicate through email. McKinley Payments continues to reply that the violation is closed & will not give me a copy of the supposed violation. I should have a right to see what the violation is even after the rental car company paid for it without verification.

The facility where we parked had a computerized parking venue that would not take our credit cards (3 different cards - all of which are in good standing). We tried for 15 minutes. Several other people before and after us also had difficulty paying. This is insane - the cost of the parking fare was $10.00 - these guys (McKinley Payments) charge a $70.00 violation fee. This is a complete scam! I will be contacting the local commissioner to complain!

Just got a Vehicle violation notice in the mail 4 months after renting a car in Austin, We did not receive a parking ticket, but all of a sudden we get this notification from the rental company saying we owe a $112.25 fine. What the heck kind of scam is this? There is no phone number to request a copy of the ticket. Someone is trying to rip us off. I don't understand why ****** would just pay it and we don't hear about this until 4 months later.

It is unfortunate. Majority of the comments I am reading are similar to my situation. I have frequent visits at ******************* on ****** (*******, **) for my pregnancy. I registered my vehicle and credit card. The website claims under faqs that you do not need to register your vehicle each time, it reads :Once you have finished registering a Metropolis account, you will never have to go through the signup process again. Your phone will act as your ticket and enable you to Drive in & Drive out seamlessly. Payment is automatic every time. Just be sure to keep your vehicle and payment information up to date!So why am I charged and sometimes I am not? There is no physical person you an speak with to discuss the fine. I do believe this system is inappropriate. I received a 70 dollar fine when the gate opened for me and received a text message for thank you for parking. McKinley is the branch of Metropolis parking who has issued this fine. It is confusing and truly unfair.

Absolutely predatory policies and system. This company makes money on fines, not parking. They are dishonest and I am shocked anyone would use their services.

No stars should be an option. My family was on vacation in Nashville TN. when arrived at our hotel after a long drive and pulled into the parking lot across the street to avoid blocking the already busy street. We checked with the front desk of our hotel to confirm the correct parking lot to use and we were informed that the associated parking lot for the hotel was adjacent to the hotel and not the lot we were in. We moved the vehicle immediately to the correct lot, having never left the vehicle unattended. We were in the lot for a total of 17 minutes and were charged $83 including the fine. I disputed the fine and offered to pay the parking fee and was denied. This is a total scam.

Horrible company. I pulled into the empty parking lot with my friends ministy to pass out food to the homeless instead of parking in the street and blocking traffic. I did not leave my car unattended and go shopping, out to eat etc... I stood by my car the whole time passing out the food that my friend and I bought for the unfortunate with our own money. I explained this in my dispute and to my surprise they denied my request and are charging me a $10 dollar parking fee plus a $60 non payment fee. What a joke this company is only concerned about getting that money even when someone trys to good for those who are less fortunate. Needless to say I won't be paying them anyways. Such and unpassionate company, people like this should not be business owners of any such business anywhere.

This is clearly a scam. I had gone to visit my grandma at the hospital which is already a very stressful moment in my families life to have to come back to a ridiculous "violation fee" for something that was not our fault. It seems everyone else also had the same issue, I was leaving the parking lot and was going to pay the parking fee (as I have been doing the entire week prior) to see that they had nobody working the gate to take my cash. As I'm driving out the gate automatically opens so my assumption is that they are simply working through a new system for parking and are working out the technical kinks. I had no problem in paying the parking fee and had my cash ready to but I refuse to pay this RIDICULOUS fee for what seems like a predatory tactic. I truly hope this situation gets figured out because I can no see I'm far from being the only person with this issue.

On the 18th of May, 2022 my mother in-law drove to **************************** to visit our newborn boy, her grandson. She planned to pay the parking fee with her credit card. At the exit while holding the card in her hand the gate opened and she thought everything was okay and left the premise without realizing a payment was not made. She is 68 years old and does not speak any English. Neither does she know how modern technology works. It was never her intention to skip the payment and was just an honest mistake. Some times later a notice of parking violation arrived from McKinley Payments demanding the payment of the parking fee of $12 and a fine of $30.25. That is when we realized the mistake. I wrote to the support group at McKinley offering to pay the parking fee as we should but also requesting respectively the fine be waived. They rejected, which I thought was very unreasonable.

Same as other horror stories here. My daughter just got her license and made a mistake in parking, asked for forgiveness right away, steep $70 violation fee for young drivers. No response, as I followed up, they finally responded that request was denied, pay now or incur fines... Super cold response, no heart. I guess this is how they make their money.
