1 starBuying a Tesla and using Tesla Insurance has been the worst decision of my life. Here's why:1. The car's battery life is abysmal, draining rapidly and never meeting the advertised range. Tesla's claims about their battery performance are downright misleading.2. The autopilot feature is atrocious. It's unreliable and dangerous, a far cry from the revolutionary technology Tesla boasts about.3. Charging the car is ridiculously expensive. Tesla owners are being gouged at every turn, from home charging setups to public superchargers. Now, lets talk about Tesla Insurance its an absolute nightmare. If you want an insurance adjuster who ignores your phone calls, emails, and your entire claim, then Tesla Insurance is perfect for you. It's been over two months since I filed a claim, and I'm still waiting for any meaningful response. My adjuster, *************************, is a ghost. Hundreds of calls go straight to voicemail, and on the rare occasion she picks up, she pretends she can't hear me and abruptly ends the call. I've escalated my complaints to management and supervisors all useless. No one at Tesla cares about their customers once the sale is made. I've even reported this to the **************** of ********** but Teslas apathy continues. Buying a Tesla has been the single worst decision of my life, and I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. Avoid Tesla and Tesla Insurance at all costs.Review fromDave W

1 starBelieving that the Tesla Cybertruck might be delivered some time 3-4 years ago, I foolishly left a $100 "refundable" deposit to reserve one on my since expired debit card. After 4.5 years of waiting for the vehicle to ever be available, I decided to cancel the reservation. Tesla's system says that the original deposit would be refunded to the original card/account which no longer exists. That was the end of it...$100 went nowhere with no means to resolve the issue with Tesla customer service via email: Cyber truckorder @tesla.com, phone, and physical address: 1 Tesla *********************...all ignored! Super disappointed as I believed in Tesla and they evidently didn't deserve the trust. Buyer/Depositer beware!Review fromAsya G

1 starWe chose Tesla because they promised an entirely different experience from classic dealership where you spend hours waiting for sales rep to "let me talk to my manager" routine. Everything is super modern and done through an app - takes less than 20 minutes! True. Till the moment you get to understaffed dealership where 6 desks are serviced by three very very tired dudes with sad eyes. In between sales they actually service the car wash. Brilliant business model, Elon! Anyways by the time we arrived the amount due in the app was $219. Plus the accepted trade in (2 grand cheaper that Blue Book) and produced a temp tag. Motlhy payment $579! Wow. Plus they made us sign up for Tesla insurance ($78 a month). No keys till you inspect the car and get in to sign papers. At that moment app switched $219 to a $12 000 due now! So they keep my trade in^ they get $7500 from government for I bought an EV and they want 12 000 down that was never mentioned till last minute. So we cancelled the deal which was not a deal anymore. They charged $250 cancellation fee and $78 insurance fee for the car we never drove for a second. That was a month ago. Yesterday Tesla Insurance charged me again for ***** Thank you, Tesla^ and for what car exactly? What is the vin of insured vehicle? You don't know, right? Because it does not exist. STAY AWAY FROM THEM OR BRING A LAWYER FOR DELIVERY!Review fromxiaoyu H

1 starExtreme dissatisfaction with the ongoing issues related to the Full Self-Driving (***) upgrade service I received for my Tesla vehicle. I paid for the upgrade on April 21st, but due to three consecutive reschedules, the service was not completed until May 23rd.Upon receiving my vehicle back, I discovered several critical defects, including a malfunctioning *** and a non-functional Autopilot system. I immediately contacted the service center and returned my car three days later. While the *** issue was resolved after a day, the *** remains defective. The calibration progress begins at 99% but decreases by 1% each day. Despite driving over 50 miles, the progress has only changed by 2%. Tesla has not acknowledged this issue and insists that I drive 100 miles, without any guarantee that this will resolve the problem.I am deeply disappointed with the lack of progress and the inadequate response from Tesla. The ongoing defects have severely impacted my driving experience and compromised the safety of my vehicle.I demand a prompt and thorough resolution to these issues, including a full repair of the *** system and compensation for the inconvenience and disruption caused by these problems.Review fromLinda W

1 starOn 12/30/19 I paid a $100 deposit for a Tesla Cybertruck reservation. Due to some issues reported on it, I cancelled my reservation on 4/15/24. Per Tesla my refund would be issued back to card used in 30 days. The card used has been closed for years due to account compromised. Per the credit card company, the refund was received on 4/16/24 but returned on 4/19/24 with code RI (reversal) due to card number invalid and no longer on file. I have tried many times by phone but cant get anyone to help. I emailed to get reply they cant help me. I did Tesla CHAT and was told all they will do is send it to card number used even though I tell them the card is closed. Asked for check to be mailed and was told its not an option. At this point Tesla has my money back but wont send back unless refunded to original card that is closed. Its been 4 years. Cards get closed. They will just keep funds. I filed a report with the *** and BBB.Review fromRobert B

2 starsI signed a purchase agreement at the time Tesla was offering a multi-unit discount.
I bought 3 Powerwalls and it was supposed to be a $4000 discount.
Rather than correcting the error, as most reputable companies would do, they said "Tough. you signed it."
This might be the legal thing to do (still considering and talking to lawyers, as obviously what the website said I'd get and the paperwork disagree) but it's not the ethical thing to do.
I also own a Model 3, so I've spent about $70,000 with this company.
Further, I told them, and still am considering, a 4th Powerwall, but this is making me strongly averse to spending any more money with them.
Further, I've paid them all the money except the $4000 and still can't operate it because they didn't see if my transformer could handle it before installation so Centerpoint is re-evaluating.
I ordered 7 months ago, installed over 2 months ago, and still can't use my system fully.Review fromEric G

1 starI just picked up my tesla model Y on Thursday. On Friday, Tesla launched a promotion to get 1% APR on the auto loan.I went into the store to see if we could get the promotion since it had been less than 24 hours since we got the car. They said that there was nothing that I can do besides sell the car which would be a huge loss since we bought it new. It's insane to me that 24 hours can be the difference between 6% interest and 1% and the company won't give us the promotion. It totals up to an $18k of interest difference over the 6 year loan. Please give me access the promotion.Review fromTracy J

1 starWe have solar panels through Tesla and requested to have them removed for a roof replacement. We have been waiting 5 months for the reinstall with cancellation after cancellation. For the most recent cancellation (#4) no one showed up, no one called, and the only way you can get in touch with anyone is via chat. We have been paying more every month than we do when they are on for absolutely nothing except the frustration of taking our time to wait for a crew that never shows up. We didn't purchase them through Tesla but, unfortuantely now we are stuck with a money hungry company that could care less about their customers.Review fromTracy T

1 starIf I could give 0 stars I would the sales people at two locations in ********** AZ are nasty and arrogant they talk to you as if they are doing you a favor when your the customer looking to purchase the vehicle. They completely turn things around to save there own butts , if you ask questions about advertising offers they talk in circles well I could care less about who they think they are because these employees do not own Tesla obviously someone who's training these people have taught them to treat customers like they are a stupid especially if your another race unless something else is going on. I've witnessed this and experienced this just from test driving with them. As a consumer I have the right to test drive your cars and choose the one that fits my lifestyle that's what a test drive is for right. Now they have made me the bad guy because I won't stand for their disrespect. The men especially at Tesla stores are disrespectful to women and they switch up on you quickly making you the problem as they band together with their BS, They are definitely the problem. They claim to be professionals but they'll hide their true colors when their superiors get involved I'm sure. They would be selling more Tesla's if they learned how to talk to potential customers. And the racial under-tones are disgusting I'm completely frustrated with this company, buying a Tesla obviously shouldn't be this difficult it's a car purchase which should be a happy pleasant experience. I can't believe this guy was talking to me as if this was my first car purchase in my entire life. It's sad that being black to certain people means that they can do and say whatever they want to you as we all know in their eyes we're all difficult to deal with which is why this narrative is constantly duplicated in business.Review fromJennifer B

1 starRepairs are trash! I had my drive unit replaced THREE times in 6 years. Last one was replaced in May 2023 while car is in warranty. Now that drive unit fails less than 12 months later and they claim it has no warranty. Tesla says that a part replaced in the car warranty does not have to go under the part warranty. They report only parts I have replaced after the car warranty ends will have a warranty.
