Had a quote for charger install, was told it was a custom quote due to my finished basement, requiring 5 hours labor.Consulted with installer , found a significantly easier way, using only 2 hours and not routing through finished basement, yet charged the exact same, which was expensive to begin with.

Qmerit contacted me through **** because I had purchased a **** F-150 Lightning pickup truck. They were recommended by the Dealer to install an EV charging station at my house. Qmerit contacted me for some information and after that they found an electrical company to do an onsite visit to price the job up. I agreed on the price and then set up a day to have the work done. From start to finish Qmarit was in touch with me through every step as well as the electrical company. The electrical contractor was top notch! All of this was accomplished without me having to worry about anything . Great communication and service!!!!!

Willow **** initially overcharged me by one hour in labor. They did modify this when I questioned it They struggled to replace my kitchen chandelier. In fact , i overheard them on a phone call asking about blue and red wires. Wow. I ended up paying over $1000 to hang a kitchen light fixture. Buyer beware!

Hi, ******! Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us regarding the recent replacement of your kitchen chandelier.

We are sorry to hear that you feel overcharged for the replacement of your chandelier, as our team worked diligently to ensure the new 41-pound chandelier could be safely installed with your 16.5-foot vaulted ceilings.

Unfortunately, both the weight of the chandelier and the height of your kitchen ceiling resulted in the electricians not being able to safely replace the fixture any faster than the time it took, however we were more than happy to try and resolve your frustration by reducing your invoice by 1 hour. Per the conversation on 08/26, we believed you were happy with the service and satisfied by our steps in offering a 1-hour discount and the 1-year warranty on all parts and labor for the installation.

With regards to the wiring colors, we apologize if this was not clarified in our earlier discussion, however this conversation was a result of the electricians on-site consulting with their lead electrician, as the blue wiring is non-standard. We apologize if you were concerned upon hearing this conversation, as every step was taken to ensure your safety and satisfaction with our services.

While we understand the cost to replace your kitchen light fixture, in this instance a 41-pound chandelier, was more expensive due to the increased weight, height, and complexity caused by non-standard wiring, we were under the impression that our efforts and customer service had fully resolved any concerns you may have had and are disappointed to hear this was not the case.

If there is anything else we can do to assist, please contact us again as we would be more than happy to further discuss this with you.

Had a bad experience. I filled out the form and sent a dozen pictures. They then send me a "preliminary" esteem for $799. In send a $149 deposit and they send the info to a local contractor who then sends me an estimate for $3,500. I reject it and they send me another contractor with an estimate of $1,900. It seems they give you the low, fairy tale, estimate as a way to get you locked in. I went with anther contractor I found on my own and they refunded my deposit. Still, it was a waste of my time.

Hi, ****! Thank you for taking the time to share with feedback with us regarding your recent request for an EV charger installation by Qmerit.

After reviewing your assessment survey, we see that you selected only 10 feet of wiring was needed, however after further reviewing your charging site distance from an electrical panel and determining the full scope of the project, your initial ********* determined that an additional 40 feet of wiring would be needed. Additionally, in order to support the increase of energy needs for Level 2 EV charging, a subpanel would need to be installed as your existing panel has insufficient capacity to support the charger. Furthermore, we see that your second quote was never finalized as you cancelled the project prior to the second ********* submitting their quote.

We understand that this price is a significant increase from the initial estimate that was generated from your initial survey, however the increase of materials and labor required was also increased based on the full scope of work needed.

Qmerit takes pride in electrification made easy, and we strive to ensure every installation is safely installed to code, using high-quality materials specifically graded for EV charging and approved by auto manufacturers, EVSE manufacturers, and utilities to prevent safety hazards caused by insufficient components. We understand that our pricing can often be higher than a competitor as a result, and often find in comparing quotes that other EV charger *********s are not pulling permits, using the correct type and quality of materials, performing load calculations, or installing the charging station to code.

Our initial deposit is always refundable should you decide to hire another *********, and we are happy to hear you have already received your refund. While we are disappointed to hear that your quotes from Qmerit did not meet your expectations, we wish you the best in your future EV charging endeavors.

Please don't hesitate to contact Qmerit if you have any questions or future electrification needs, as we are always happy to help.  Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you have a great day!

8/24, Qmerit was excellent to work with. They worked around my schedule, provided me with two separate electricians who quoted the job of a 240V, 50amp electrical outlet, installed in my garage. The electrician I chose went above and beyond being helpful and completed the install under budget and in 2 hours. No money down, the electrician handled the permit process and after city permit inspection only then was I finally billed. *****, would recommend them to anyone for EV **************** installation working through **.

The installer was a little slow responding, but Qmerit was all over them to get them moving (i was in no rush). great follow through on their part. the quote was low enough (after the $1500 cadillac credit) that i chose to go with it as it was not much more than the parts required to install the direct wiring myself and would save me a hours of time.once installer showed up- they were fast, clean and did a great job and when they left i had no doubt it was worth the money-then the bill came- and was LESS than quoted, by close to $150 !! Icing on the cake for sure.i for one am glad to have had Qmerit handle the charger installation. no deposit was requested, installer asked for no money, and wasn't billed until job was complete and i signed off on it..Only $143 out of pocket for installation, plus cost of charger..

I do not recommend working with Qmerit, as either a customer or ********************** contractor. If you are considering working with them as an installer, learn from my mistake. I was convinced by them to sign up as an installer for them over a year ago. Paid $600+ to receive zero leads for a year. When I called to ask for a refund they refused, despite them providing no value to me. They did direct one job lead to me only after I tried to get a refund a year later, but the customer didn't provide enough info for me to quote, and I declined to quote, as I've had enough of Qmerit at this point. They just now send me a random unexplained bill demanding $90 which prompted this review. To be clear, I have not installed a single EV charger for Qmerit, paid $600+ and now they want more for some reason??To any potential Qmerit customers reading this, just simply hire a local Licensed Electrical Contractor directly. They will be more than happy to quote your work. Save your money and valuable time for the same installation. All Qmerit does is act as a middle man between you and the contractor, they provide no additional value that I can tell. Do a ****** search for Licensed Electrical Contractors in your area, and they will be happy to quote your EV charger job. In *******, you can also search for licensed reputable contractors on the *** website. Just pay the electricans who do the actual work, not the ones inflates the price and making money off the backs of hard working trades people.

Hi, ***! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and experience with us as a contractor within the Qmerit Canada network.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the volume of work you received from us, and looked into your company status to determine why this might have occurred. After further investigation, your company was non-compliant for an extended period of time which resulted in not receiving any projects, as previously communicated.

Qmerit maintains a strict level of licensing, insurance, and training requirements as part of our vetting process for all certified installers, so missing compliance documentations will result in a lack of leads. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund as you would have received leads and been able to build your QCI throughout your time as a member of the Qmerit installer network had you submitted this documentation initially.

Once you submitted all required documentation, you began to receive projects. We are certainly sorry to hear that your first project did not provide enough information without contacting the customer for you to offer a quote as we understand you felt that you shouldnt have to communicate with the customer outside of reviewing their submitted assessment survey prior to offering a quote.

We are proud to support our network with exclusive training and licensing among other benefits to ensure our contractors continue to receive projects and other opportunities and wish you the best in your future endeavors. Thank you again for taking the time to share this feedback with us and we hope you have a wonderful day!

. I started out wanting two receptacle boxes installed and a door bell button replaced. The estimate given after inspection of the receptacle sites and doorbell was $2600. I said no to the receptacle boxes and asked about the doorbell. I was told that would be $500. The electrician checked out the doorbell system but could not find the transformer. He also discovered that he didn't have a door bell button on the truck and went to buy one. After replacing the broken doorbell I get a bill for $820. $426 dollars was for "Diagnostic-Single circuit containing multiple rooms" for this the electrician looked at the locations where I wanted the boxes and looked for the doorbell transformer which he never found. A second charge was for "Pick up and install new doorbell button and disconnect old ring doorbell" for that I was charged $315.

Hi, ******! Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us regarding your installation service with Clinton Electric.

We understand your frustration regarding the estimate and subsequent charges and it is our policy to provide detailed estimates before beginning any work to ensure we avoid any misunderstandings with regards to pricing. Our company strives to ensure transparency throughout the process by having you approve pricing at each stage of the work; however, it seems there was still a misunderstanding, and we regret if our communication was clear enough in this instance.

We take full responsibility for not having a part on the truck which should be held as standard stock and appreciate your understanding on this matter. To make amends, we issued a partial refund for the charge as discussed on Wednesday, June 19th.

We value your business and would like another opportunity to serve you better in the future. If there's anything else we can do to address your concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly.

Thank you once again for bringing this to our attention as we appreciate your understanding and hope to restore your confidence in our service and improve your experience with Clinton Electric.

Very efficient and professional. The actual installation of my level 2 charger was so fast, it felt like they were done before I ever had even sat down on the couch to wait. It's also been working great ever since, especially with 2 EVs in the home to account for. Every employee I talked too was very personable and social as well. And they were also communicative about when they were backed up, or running a bit behind on any of the days they came in to either inspect or install. The process for requesting the install was very convenient and fast as well. Filling out the form and adding photos of where we wanted the charger took almost no time at all.

GM/Cadillac should N**ER use a company like QMerit for the ** Charger installation. Their installers openly pad their installation charges heavily to cover the fees that QMerit charges them to be referred for ** charger installations for the unsuspecting GM/Cadillac customers . All the installations are fluffed up to start from $1500 ( the incentive what GM gives and many fall for this to buy their Cadillac/GM Cars ). Mine started from $2800, when our local installer said will take only $1500, which would have been perfectly covered by GM incentive of $1500. BTW, there is NO complaint division for GM for this ** ( ** Concierge of GM is despicable and cares nothing about the ** owners, that's a separate case ) to report this atrocity as GM cares nothing about the customers and QMerit and their installers take advantage of this weak-link. Added to above, if the charger is faulty, it is the customer ... who needs to pay for the ************************* to take out the faulty unit, take to the dealership for a replacement, then pay again to the electrician to install it again. *****Though the Charger is STILL UNDER WARRANTY *****. Dealership charges an "extended warranty coverage", that is over the price of the charger to cover the above said faulty unit replacement cost. Again gouging by the dealership. BTW, QMerit WILL not, I repeat, WILL NOT cover the replacement of the FAULTY unit. Their installers will NOT work on replacement but are ready to quote a HUGE price for this replacement of FAULTY unit. GM/QMerit should own this replacement cost as IT IS NOT CUSTOMER'S FAULT as you've SOLD/INSTALLED a FAULTY UNIT. I regret buying this ** from GM and I wish, I had never bought it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us regarding your installation experience with Qmerit. We are certainly sorry to hear that you were frustrated with your ** charger and that you have experienced issues with a faulty unit provided by a third-party other than Qmerit. Additionally, we would like to take this time to address your concerns that we are padding our installation fees to exceed any incentives provided through your automaker.

After reviewing your ** charger installation, we can confirm that over 50+ feet of in-wall wiring was needed to install your Ultium charger. The scope of your project was assessed and quoted by two separate contractors, with your acceptance of the second quote for $2,124 and a $600 permit cost. We have reconfirmed this pricing for similar projects and determined it is a competitive and fair price and fully in line with the scope of work provided.

At the time of installation on 9/8/2023, your ** charger was tested and confirmed to be fully functional with a passing final inspection performed.

On 2/6/2024, we see that you reported a red light on your charger and requested support from the installer at which time an inspection was scheduled and performed. Your electrical contractor inspected the installation and ** charger and was able to determine that the charger had failed from causes other than the installation and would need to be replaced. Unfortunately, as this issue is with the ** charger and not the work provided by your electrical contractor, it would fall under any warranty on the device itself and any additional installation or removal costs would not be covered by the contractor as the charger was not purchased or warrantied through the installer.

We are very sorry to hear about this situation and understand your frustrations in having your charger needing to be replaced; however, this is not the responsibility of Qmerit or your Qmerit-certified electrical contractor as the installation service was not the cause for your charger malfunctioning and we cannot ask our electrical contractors to work without fair payment when the issue at hand was not as a result of their, or Qmerit's, work, negligence, or responsibility.

Determining and negotiating the costs or services of replacing this device should be directed through the appropriate channels where the device warranty is held.
