Went to the new jersey performing arts center web site to buy tickets for **** *** it directed me to ticketsales.com the seats i selected were $100 each for two total charge to my card was $667.24 I called amx they said it was a scam but they couldnt do anything because I gave them my card number the seats was row f for may 3th 2025 at 7:00 pm ****** nj ticketsales said it showed the price at the end but it didnt I was scamed order# ******** they switched the price at the end of checkout.Business Response

I was trying to buy tickets at a local music venue. I thought i was on the official site -- there was no clear indication that this was a ticket reseller. Then when I received the receipt, the wording was odd (that they were working to purchase the tickets). I went back online and found the official venue site and found that the tickets were one third the cost and had high availabililty, while ticketsales.com had said there was limited availability. And it isn't possible to reach anyone at the business to dispute the charge. And they say all sales are final with no returns. This is a total rip off. They should not be allowed to position themselves as a legitimate seller of tickets.Business Response

Thought I was ordering tickets from the casino the band was playing at and then got linked to this scam of a sitepaid at least triple what I should have, havent received my tickets. How can you sell tickets that havent even gone on sale yet? This is ticket gouging and should be illegal. After I made the purchase I realized what happened, called within 5 minutes and was told that the purchase was not able to be canceled as the seller already accepted the purchase which is a complete lie. April 8, 2025 I went online to by tickets to Pensacola Children's Chorus show at local ********************** and was somehow redirected to a predatory ticket sales site (Ticketsales.com), 2 tickets were suppose to be $80.00 but I was charged $222.92; when I called I was told there were over $140.00 in fees, which I did not agree too. I was told there was no cancelling no refund and there was nothing they would do about it. The site represented themselves as the correct site for the ******* theater but were not; they did not disclose the amount of the fees or final total until after purchase. This business is predatory and misleading. After the fact I found many complaints about this site doing the same thing to many people. I have not accepted the tickets or any electronic transfer and want the credit charge removed.Customer Answer

The company has agreed to and completed a refund the amount charged as such complaint ID ******** is deemed resolved.
I truly believe the only reason the company reversed their decision was only after BBB sent formal complaint on my behalf and I cited the law: In *******, resale ticket fees are capped at $1 above the original ticket price for specific situations, according to Florida law, ******. This cap applies to passage or accommodations on common carriers, multi-day or multi-event tickets to entertainment complexes, and tickets originally issued by charitable organizations. However, online resale platforms may be subject to different rules if they don't meet certain disclosure requirements. -They did not disclose the amount of transfer fees, charged double for the tickets that are for a children's chorus fundraising event which in essence is charity.

On 04/11/2025 I ordered 5 tickets to a a performance at *************** in *******, **. Ticket price was $98, which I thought was high but I didn't realize I had been routed to a third party vendor -ticketsales.com After I gave my purchased the five tickets I was notified I had been charged $666.70. I called ticketsales.com and was advised it was a final purchase and told I have no recourse. I asked for a breakdown of the $666.70 and they sent me an email showing $169.75 service fee and $6.96 delivery fee. When I did some research I learned my tickets are actually $34 tickets (fee included). Total price should approximately $170. I want my money back!Customer Answer

GREAT NEWS!! The company sent me an email Saturday, I spoke with them yesterday and they say they are giving e a full refund. They also sent me an email confirming this. The refund has not yet shown up yet, but they tell me in could take 3 to 5 days. You can be sure I will be watching closely.
I can only guess that your inquiry is what prompted them to initiate a refund.

I went to order 1 single ticket to a comedy show. I was redirected to this website by the comedy clubs page. The website prompted me to choose how many tickets i wanted and I clicked "1". It showed me the price for 1 general admission ticket with a "buy" button next to it. I clicked the button and I proceeded through the checkout process and when it was finished, i was charged for 4 tickets. When i contacted the websites "customer service" they basically told me it was my fault and there was nothing they could do about it. They suggested i resell the tickets online. I would avoid this website at all costs when purchasing tickets. 3rd party ticket sellers are the worst and shouldn't be a thing.Business Response

On March 13 2025 I went to purchase tickets to a concert. I never heard of ticket resale companies before. This company website never told me the fees would be almost as much as the ticket itself. Their website is misleading and never revealed the total cost until the credit card information was entered.Business Response

Directly on our website it states, TicketSales.com is a trusted secondary marketplace. Prices set by sellers may be above or below face value.
On 3/12/2025 our customer selected a ticket listing for ***** ********* which was listed at $1098.00 per ticket. During our checkout process the detailed order summary displayed on screen informed the customer of their event details, price per ticket, and applicable fees. This information was fully disclosed after the customer entered their email address and selected a ticket delivery method, but before they were asked to enter any payment information. At the bottom of this page and above the "Place Order" button it was stated, "By clicking, Place Order, you agree to the Terms of Use including refund terms and Privacy Policy. You also acknowledge that this site is a resale marketplace and that your credit card will be charged $2964.20, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees. All prices are listed in US Dollars. All sales are final." Finally the customer clicked the "Place Order" button to complete their purchase.
We assert that all order details and relevant terms were sufficiently displayed and agreed to when our customer placed their order. It should be noted that in addition to this claim the customer filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding their order. We have addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. If our customer has any further questions regarding this dispute, we encourage them to reach out to the financial institution with which it was filed. As a courtesy, in the interest of customer service, we have provided our customer a refund of the service charge applied to their order. As it stands we consider this matter closed.

On 4/7/25 at 1230 pm I was considering purchasing a ticket from what I thought was the venue but remembered the price being less than the $53 dollars listed so I walked away from the purchasing process with 9m53s remaining the timer count down. When I was able to return to the process Ticketsales had charged my credit card $82.53 without my permission/confirmation when the time countdown completed. I called the company number to request they refund CC for the unapproved charge at 1247pm & I was unable to speak directly with a support person. At this time only a ticket purchase confirmation email had been sent. I then called my ********** to inform them of the fraudulent charges by Ticketsales.com at 103 pm. I called Ticketsales.com back at 122pm was finally able to be told by customer service representative ******* that because I had imputed my information I intended to purchase the ticket which is confirmation and refused to refund me for the ticket. She then also said that the tickets has already been sent to the email which is additional confirmation of my attempt to purchase. An email was sent at 114pm after my initial attempt to stop this unauthorized purchase. I just found this email which doesn't contain a ticket bit a **************** button. I refuse to push due to it being an unauthorized purchase and a complete scam. Ticketsales.com is completely fraudulent! Do not use ticketsales.com!! Purchased tickets ahead of a sale date. Thought they were the actual venue, and paid an incredible amount of money for two tickets. I immediately realized they were a resale and contacted them, but they wouldnt refund the money. Its been a month since I purchased, and still dont have tickets. I wanted to purchase tickets for an upcoming performance at a local venue. I went online to what I thought was the venue website, found the performance, and selected purchase tickets. It turns out that Ticketsales.com had hijacked my intended purchase and directed me to their web page for the event. I found tickets for the vent (2 * $29 = $58) and selected purchase tickets (with the understanding that an additional handling charge would be added). At NO time was I presented with any information regarding the final cost until after the transaction had been completed. The final cost was $196!!.I have communicated with Ticketsales.com via two avenues.- Online chat in which they kept repeating that they were a reseller marketplace and had no control over the final cost. They had no response regarding not informing me of the final cost until after purchasing the tickets.- Email in which there first response was to ask for additional information that I provided. A subsequent follow-up email elicited a response that had nothing to do with the issue and could have been generated by an AI chat bot.Presently, Ticketsales.com has been totally non-responsive to my complaint.I have visited the venue for the performance to discuss this and they are well aware of the scam that *************** is perpetrating on their customers but are powerless to do anything about it.Business Response
