TicketSales.com used unscrupulous business practices by not being upfront on how they charge for tickets. Before making the final purchase and agreeing to the cost they show the price of the tickets (in my case $25 each) and then ask if you want to purchase protection for the tickets of $7.50. This is all in a legible font. Below in a non-legible font, so small that's it barley legible they hide the total cost and never itemize how they get the extra charges. Its deceptive and illegal. It cost me additional charges of $40 to purchase two tickets that cost $25.Business Response

I called on February 20, 2023 to purchase tickets to a ***************************** event on March 12, ****************************** ************* **. The tickets I requested were for 1 wheelchair and 1 companion seating. THe representative shared that VIP seating would give us a great view. Lower priced tickets would not be great for viewing. I agreed to purchasing the higher priced tickets. Total price was $383.41 During the call I was having trouble hearing and understanding the sales agent. I stated that to her. After the transaction was completed I realized the tickets were for a venue in ********* and not in **. When I called and explained this to customer service they said they would investigate my call and get back to me. When the completed their investigation they shared that they would not refund my purchase. It further explained to me that is their policy. They advised that I could resell them.Business Response

Prior to receiving this claim we had been in contact with our customer to review their concern. We previously confirmed that all order details were agreed to by the customer before the order was placed. During the phone sale the customer agreed to our terms of sale which state that the order is final sale and not refundable. We attest that our customer received valid tickets prior to their event which occurred on 3/12/2023. As such, the customer's order was fulfilled in accordance with our Buyer Guarantee. As a courtesy, in the interest of customer service, we have provided our customer a refund of the service charge applied to their order. As it stands we consider this matter resolved. Thank you for this additional response. We appreciate the opportunity to further address our customer's concerns. As previously stated, a courtesy refund of the service fee applied to the order has already been provided. These funds were remitted to the original method of payment as of 4/21/2023. However, we maintain that all order details and relevant terms in question were sufficiently displayed prior to the customer placing their order. As such, the order does not currently qualify for additional compensation and we consider this matter closed. On February 09, 2023 I was on ********* Theatre website (*************************) in ********* to buy tickets for a performance of *********************** on March 5, 2023. I ordered tickets at what I thought was face vale. Somehow, I was transferred to ticket sales.com. There was no indication that this had happened. I was not made aware that I was dealing with ticketsales.com which is ticket resale site with a long history of BBB complaints. Only after the sale was processed was I told that there was a $258.00 charge in addition to the inflated price of the tickets. The total bill comes to more than $580 for two tickets. I consider the whole transaction to be deceptive. I was not made aware that I was dealing with a reseller and I was not made aware of the cost of the transaction until it was too late to cancel it.Business Response

This company sold me product they don't have and cannot deliver. I spent $10k on tickets on 2/20/23 that they are now saying wont be available until 8/18/2023 (the day of the show) . We all have heard about the ticket arbitrage game but this company does not disclose.. watch out.. this is just not right..Business Response

I purchased tickets for Harry Potter in Toronto. The tickets were priced at $139/eh US which I was ok with. The invoice was emailed to me at $365.57 which is close to the Canadian exchange rate for $278 US. However, my credit card was charged $492.00 and when I actually saw the tickets they are priced at $79/eh Canadian. At no time was there ANY communication from this company ,other than the invoice for $365.57 , that there would be any charge other than that one . It is clear to me that this is fraud and I will also be contacting the district attorney in Dallas to report this transaction.Business Response

I paid $78.45 for an ***************** Red ticket on 2/16. In addition to that price being 33% higher than other ticket outlets, TicketSales.com did not provide me the final price before checkout and my card was charged the full $78.45 before I ever saw the final price. I thought I had purchased 3 tickets for an event at the Celebrity Theater in April. Each ticket had a price listed for $105.00. I purchased them thinking (a little over priced but not unreasonable) then I get an alert from my credit card company that the purchase actually cost me $820.00!! I immediately called the company and got the run around. Called back the next day, same thing. Finally, when I was able to speak to someone he acted like he was concerned but in the end told me there was nothing I could do. He told me if I had an issue to take it up with my credit card company or try to resell my tickets..So, I'm out $820. I'm currently dealing my credit card company but feel compelled to let the public know about this highly unethical business! I was viewing ticket it prices and the Ticketsale.com did not show the total transaction before charging to my card. The price was $ 199 for tickets and next screen it charged my account for $262.92. I would not have purchased with the additional $62 added. I was defrauded by them charging my debit card without me approving the final cost. I have disputed through my bank and would like your assistance as well. They have sent me email with confirmation ******** AR Razorback Women Basketball. We wanted to order 2 tickets to the May 19, 2023 River Dance show in Reno Nevada. On 1/4/2023 I opened an Internet site (Ticketsales.com) that I saw was handling ticket sales for the show. The tickets we selected were for a section costing $ 151 each, giving a total of $ 302 for two. I placed order # r, assuming that once I pressed the "order" button I would receive the tickets shortly (and, of course, at the listed price). After pressing the button, I saw that my sale cost had jumped from $ 302 to $ 397, an increase of over 30%. I also learned for the first time that I would not receive the tickets for over 4 1/2 months and that I would have to follow some complicated steps to gain entry to the show using a cell phone (which I do not do). I called their customer service ************** on 1/5/2022 explain the above and that I had been overcharged without my permission. I asked for a full refund because of the misrepresentation--information that I deserved BEFORE making a purchase. I spoke with "RED," who said no adjustment would be made even though the charges were added AFTER I placed my order. In summary, additional "add-ons" were charged without my approval, tickets will not be provided in a timely manner, and I will have to use some sort of cell phone technology to get them. All of this was only made known to me AFTER I approved the purchase. TicketSales.com should have been UP FRONT but in my judgement rather chose to trick us. Therefore, I am asking the BBB to intervene to provide a full refund of the $ 397.08 from a company that has in my opinion been unethical in not disclosing all facts before I made the purchase. I admit I should have done more research on TicketSales.com, but I guess as seniors, we expect others to share our values and be ethical. I also have now seen that this company has earned an "F" rating from BBB. Unfortunate; I wish I had known. Maybe they will improve. Thank you for your assistance.Business Response

On 12/16/2022 I purchased 4 event tickets. The displayed price did not make it clear that it was a per seat price and I assumed it was for all 4 tickets. I then gave my cc information thinking that the next page would be a review my purchase page. However, instead, the submit button charged my card. Not only was the price displayed earlier a per/seat price, but there was significant surcharges and taxes which I never saw!! The tickets are nonrefundable. I immediately called ticketsales.com and spoke with a representative, Yosgrey S, who said he would not exchange my tickets - even though the charges have not even left my bank. I have never encountered a service that does not allow you to review total charges before charging and which does not allow refunds immediately after a purchase. He also said that there was a small icon on the CC page which, if I had clicked, would have shown me the full charges. This is not an acceptable practice. The full charges should be made fully and plainly evident to the consumer before any money is exchanged.Business Response
