I thought I was purchasing tickets directly from *************. The tickets were $268each and I purchased 2. Nowhere did it show a large service fee of $155.44 on top of the ticket price. When I clicked to purchase, it was showing the purchase processing for an amount of $756.60!!! I immediately tried to stop the transaction from completing, but could not. I then immediately contacted their customer service for a refund but they will do nothing. I have no idea how I even ended up on their website, not to mention the fact that they hid the service fee. Very deceptive. The receipt they send does not even say what the extra charge is. You have to dig to find out. It only lists the tax and the total.Business Response

On December 4, 2022 I purchased tickets from Ticketsales.com thinking I was buying them from ************************. As soon as my order came to my email and I saw a $40.02 service charge, I knew there was a mistake. This company was not open at the time I received my ticket confirmation so I called today at 7:30am my time (Pacific), they are Central time, and explained I had apparently made a mistake and thought I had ordered direct from the venue, but instead it went to them and I requested a cancellation. Please note I emailed them within 4 minutes of the order to cancel the order as it was an error. I was told they don't take cancellations under any circumstances. On their website there is nothing noted about an additional service charge, just that the tickets may be higher than face value in small print. I was shocked when I saw I had been charged an additional $40 over and above the inflated ticket price. This company is engaging in deceptive practices as they do not make it easy to know what your extra charges may be. While I freely admit that the mistake was mine, I contacted the company be email within 4 minutes to cancel my order. There was a "contact us" link but it was broken and did not work. It stated to contact them IMMEDIATELY with any issues. I tried, but they did not respond and their contact link did not work. All I want is my credit card to be credited for the purchase I would never have made had I known the fine print details. They were unwilling to do anything for me and just said NO. I plan to dispute the charge with my credit card company but I would ask that you also contact them so they know people will not put up with their shady sales tactics.Business Response

They could have issued the credit when I asked and not force me to contact you and my credit card company. They picked the wrong person to say "no" to and they look like they would have taken advantage of me had I not pursued it. I accept their answer. My credit card was credited.

I wanted to buy tickets to the *********** and their site listed 3 tickets at $780. I put in my credit card info and then proceeded to complete the order. I assumed like most other online purchases it was going to give me a total to confirm the purchase as it had not listed a total yet. It never presented a $600 service charge.
It then told me it confirmed my transaction but it was for $3,026.10 which I know through talking to them includes a $600 service charge and the $780 X3 listed at the time.
I immediately called their phone number and told them I wanted to cancel it and they said they could not. I feel like this is a fraudulent charge on my credit card as I did not approve the total being $600+ higher for a service charge that did not show on my screen.
I received an email shortly thereafter saying that my order was being processed and call immediately if there is any issue. I placed the order at 11:13PM and was on the phone immediately (11:14PM) thereafter it told me the amount was different than had been stated on their web site. I'm attaching the order and a record of my copy of the phone call to them. I also tried to call them and they refused to assist even though their email said to call immediately. I've attached the email confirmation and the evidence of the call.Business Response

On December 1,2022 I was let to believe that I was purchasing two tickets of Joshua Bell Davies symphony hall by San Francisco Symphony and paid $587.45, after the payment, I was notified that ticketsales.com was the seller and informing me that the tickets would be emailed to my email address on December 8, 2022. I quickly realized that I was tricked somehow by the website and contacted the seller by email within the 10 minutes and a phone call on the next day. With the agent, Christy I asked for canceling my order and requested a full refund since I did not receive any services nor tickets at the time of transaction. She was not interested to resolve this matter, repeating no cancelation nor refunds. I told her not to email the tickets since I canceled the order, but my request was ignored and they emailed me to download the tickets on December 2, 2022. I have not opened the emails from them as being cautious. So far I asked paypal.com and my credit card company to dispute the payment. I am still figuring out how I got involved with ***************, their website mimicked San Francisco Symphony when I searched on Google for san Francisco symphony. I don't mind paying such a high price for Local musicians and San Francisco Symphony organization but I do mind being tricked by ***************.Business Response

Ticketsales.com misrepresented themselves as their name suggests. They resell tickets and do not sell tickets. It was not clear to me that they were not working directly with the venue/event. I purchased tickets for the event on 11/25/2022. I checked the event website and saw that the ticket purchasing process was completely different. I then saw the prices were about 1/2 what I paid so I chatted with "***" on 11/26/2022 to see if they could work with me on the pricing given i just bought the tickets but they told me that sales are final once purchased. Again had they been clear about them being a reseller, I would have found alternate means.Business Response

Tickets were advertised as "row 14", "row 7", "row 1", etc.
I purchased row 1, paying significantly more, thinking I was getting better seats.
ALL correspondence referred to "row 1" tickets.
When tickets were received they were general admission tickets.
Called the venue and found there are no rows AT ALL. Yet, the website is advertising many different row options at different prices.Business Response

On November 29, 2022, I placed an order with TicketSales.com for a concert, not realizing I was not on an authorized site brokering tickets for the Paramount Theater, and believing the price of $88 posted for the 4 tickets I was ordering was the total, not per-ticket price. I knew from the past such tickets actually cost in the upper $20's, and was glad for the reduction in price ($88 / 4 = $22). A recognizable map of Paramount seating appeared where I selected the area of seating, but I was not allowed at the time to select seats; my thought was that the selection would come later. It did not. Authorizing the purchase took me to the order completion page showing a total of $461.03. I was struck with dread to see I had been wrong about the price. But even more, mystified when I realized no fees had shown to indicate how the total rose from 4 x $88 = $352 to $461 and change.
The phone number given (************), connected to a very helpful network of recorded messages, but would not connect me with a real person, and stated at one point very firmly that they would not cancel an order or refund any funds paid.
Discover Card will not dispute the charge until it is posted, not pending.
It is clear that this company is acting fraudulently, and that I never will get the tickets or a refund. Paramount Theater states unequivocally on its website that "The Paramount Theater does not sell to ticket brokers or resellers. Ticket resale or attempted resale at a price higher than face value is a violation of our terms and conditions. As such, we reserve the right to cancel purchases found to be sold under these circumstances." FAQs (theparamount.net - FAQs - Warning...)
If TicketSales.com were legitimate, it would not be trying to sell me tickets that don't and can't exist. Furthermore, the order/payment system hiked the already fraudulent cost of the tickets by over $100 with no explanation of the fee structure that it applied.

TicketSales.com was fully conciliatory, refunding the entire amount of my mistaken purchase, and in very short order. I was hoping for any help at all, and in the process, I learned much about how the company works (clarifying that the culpability for what I considered fraudulent belonged to a sales client, rather than TicketSales.com), but the full refund was a great relief. I went online to purchase 2 tickets for a ***** **** concert in Victoria Canada and what thought was a direct ticket sales for this event . They posted the ticket prices as $153 . They never showed a complete invoice before purchasing with a breakdown of cost. When I got the confirmation email it said I purchased 8 tickets total cost $1276.86US. I called them right away but said they do not refund and I would have to sell the ticket myself. I have tried to upload my receipt multiple ways to your site but it just changes to something else. When I looked at my e-tickets the amount stated on the ticket was$45 each. I understand there are fees but to represent the price a 3 times as much without a breakdown or invoice before or after purchase should be illegal. This company is scamming people. Since I can't upload my receipt my order numbercis XXXXXXXX and was purchased November 17th,2022.
I am looking for a full refund as this seems an unethical way of doing business and want nothing to do with this company.

Bought three tickets at $84 each. No disclosure about fees when it came time to pay, no itemized list of fees, surcharges, etc. Was charged $332.58. I went back a few pages when I saw my order confirmation to see if there was anywhere that showed these charges. There were not. I called the company and they explained the charges and insisted that it showed this on the webpage. I explained to them that it did not. I asked for them to refund me half of these fees.
