I went to ************ in February 2024 as I finally had health insurance including dental. I was talked into getting a loan to cover what needed to be done. I was hesitant because I just moved into where I was and was not sure if I was going to remain in the area but decided that I needed to go ahead and get the work done. So I went ahead and got this loan. I ended up only getting a dental cleaning and made an appointment for the next month. I ended up moving into another state before I got to my next appointment and was also charged monthly since they had my credit card information to take out one monthly. As soon as I moved I called and let them know and I was told that I could not transfer this to a different dental office. Therefore, I told them that I did not have the work done that this loan was taken out for and that it needed to be canceled or something because I was not going to pay for services I did not do get. I was told that the loan would be canceled out and not to worry about it. The next month comes and I'm getting texts repeatedly that the bill is by past due. I call and I'm told the same thing that it will be taken care of. Not to worry about it. I am now getting emails, calls, harassment saying that I owe this money. That they spoke with Aspen Dental and that I indeed did get most of these services done. This is a lie and false. The only work that this dental office did was a dental cleaning. And they are trying to claim that I owe $800. They are fraudulent and liars. Aspen Dental is also part of the fraud talking me into taking out a loan for services that I didn't even get yet and never will.Business Response

I financed a mattress purchase through American Finance for American Freight in May 2024 (first payment was taken out of my account 5/9/24). We were never able to pick the mattress up, on 8/24 we went to American Freight to pick the mattress up, that we have been paying on weekly. The store is closed. I called American Finance and told them the issue. They opened an investigation. I just found out this morning that the sales *** from American Freight is showing our order was fulfilled. It wasnt. We have no mattress and they continue to take money out of our account and thus far have refused to make it right.Business Response

AMERICAN FIRST FINANCE is falsely reporting on my credit.I have never had any accounts with them. Per my research AMERICAN FIRST FINANCE is a debt collector. They are falsely reporting to my credit! Account # ******** are falsely reporting to my credit file and are against my rights and fair credit act. Under 15 U.S. Code 1681d - Disclosure of investigative consumer reports; you are in violation. I have attached the definition so you can see the violation!(a)Disclosure of fact of preparation A person may not procure or cause to be prepared an investigative consumer report on any consumer unless (1)it is clearly and accurately disclosed to the consumer that an investigative consumer report including information as to his character,general reputation, personal characteristics, and mode of living, whichever are applicable, may be made, and such disclosure (A) is made in a writing mailed, or otherwise delivered, to the consumer, not later than three days after the date on which the report was first requested I request to be provided proof of this alleged item, specifically the original application, contract, note or other instrument bearing my signature with AMERICAN FIRST FINANCE.Failing that, the items must be deleted from the report as soon as possible. Under federal law, you have 30 days to complete your reinvestigation. I will also be seeking $1,000 per violation for: 1.) Defamation 2.) Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud 3.) The initial loan was for 3200 dollars, I paid already ******* and my total due balance is $3294.00 which is incorrect. The interested are very high which I was not aware of that. On April 29, 2024 I was shopping around for a new bed set and decided to go to American Freight as I bought my last one from them years ago. When I made the decision on which bed set I want the *** who was helping me told me about this credit service they offer through American First Finance. I applied and immediately was approved. Mind you I initially came in with intentions of paying upfront but when this opportunity was presented I thought about it and went through with it. The deal was I had 4 1/2 months to pay off $2213.34 for the early buyout option. The payments were scheduled twice a month at $149.50 but as long as I paid the full amount within that time frame I should be good according to the agreement. Remember this: Today is August 17, 2024 and the 4 1/2 months doesnt end until September 12, 2024 from the initial date of April 29, 2024. So today I checked my email and read one from them saying Im behind on payments. Cool, so I logged into my bank and see that a few payment attempts were reversed as they were set on automatic. I wasnt aware that some of my other bills were set to automatic as well which led to this (thats another problem) but I took responsibility for that and set up a payment plan. My problem is the last time I checked my remaining balance it was at $1682.55 but now today its at $4792.95 for the early buyout option but per the contract and what the *** told me I should have until September 12th to pay off the initial amount. I have no issue paying the $1682.55 in full but $4792.95 is ridiculous and I havent got a response yet about it. All I purchased was a queen bed set which I couldve just bought outright for $2009.92 (I have a printed copy of the receipt).Business Response

The customer made a purchase with ********************** Freight using American First Finance. Prior to completing the purchase, the customer electronically signed their contract with American First Finance. This contract lists all payment information and terms and conditions of the contract. Upon completing the contract, the customer is provided with a copy of the contract from American First Finance to the email address they provided during their application.
If the customer has any questions about their ********************** account, they will need to contact American First Finance directly @ **************.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: First, I want to note that I do agree with the settlement amount of $1,712.04, BUT its making me uncomfortable to proceed when Im receiving multiple emails from this company with conflicting information and not able to get a timely response or answer. One email will say the settlement amount is $1,712,04, but then they will follow up with another email threatening to send my debt to collections. Then another email comes up saying I owe $4,632.19 or $4,688.46. Also, when I sign into my account it still saying I owe the last price stated. I addressed this in an email and asked if there is way to pay the settlement price directly or have my account reflect what was discussed but they claim that is not possible. How would anybody feel comfortable paying a settlement amount if they are receiving numerous emails with conflicting information while also being told that they just have to trust that what they are seeing when they log into their account wont mean anything after making the payment? Again, the settlement is valid to me but the process is nerve racking and uncomfortable.Customer Answer

*************** eyewear uses American first finance as a way to pay for eyeglasses and prescription and a total of my service was $1680 and I was told by the people at *************** that thats how much the finance I will be getting. As of August 22, 2024 I have paid $$1850.12 which was over how much I pay for the glasses but they misled me by committing me to a 52 month payment plan and now I have to pay a financial $4000 that I did not ask for and they refuse to work with me because I was only told I would be finance for $1680. I wanted to be known that I have met my request of the finance of $1680 but I have been duped and fooled by *************** eyewear and American first finance. I have paid back what I was told at fashion obstacle of $1680. I have already paid two American finance $1850.12 and at this point I feel my obligation has been met, but they are fooling people into paying for a $4000 loan that I did not and I was not told that and I have not spent $4000Customer Answer

I paid $1680 now I am obligated to continue to pay them for $2000 that I did not ask for and Ive already paid back what I owe and they are telling me that I still need to pay them. American Freight employee has taking advantage of me I 71 years old senior citizen widow has force my Signature on a Contracts. I made a purchase in November ******* for a Frigidaire Stove for $999.00and a table and chairs for $99.00 all I was giving a copy with the total $$1059.99 account number *********** never receive a contracts until I had to call the company about a double ach payment out of my bank account where they draft two payment on July ******* twice 0n the same day for $179.89 in the same day , my bank go into the negative overdraft it took the a whole week before they credit my account my Bank Account had to file a claim with the company I and getting a copy of my Bank Statement to see how many time they took extract money for me money for me the first time I saw this is July 2024 I went back to my E-mail to review my copy of the contract from ***** 2023 they never sent me a contracts because I never sign one. They have charged me three time the amount of my purchase total l$3144.03 I would have never purchase this use stove and use table and chair if I had known this is not right to scam a senior citizen. I still do not have the true amount I do not know the true amount yet they should be a shame of them self. When I call the company the associate the first thing she said is that I will give you a refund I didn't say anything about a refund to her.Business Response

Hello! My husband and I closed on our home on the first of April of 2024. We needed to purchase furniture and didnt want to spend a whole lot as we have 3 young boys. We were looking for something to get us by for the time being. We went to American Freight and there will be a complaint entered for them as well. Since we just closed on our home, we were low on cash and the sales *** told us about American First Finance. Had me apply for it, I was approved for $5000. We opted for two living room sets and a dining table and chairs. We also added the extended warranty. Everything came in below $4000. I paid $30 the first day for the initial payment. I signed a couple documents and we were good. I was never given printed documents. I was told there wouldnt be any interest if everything was paid off in 12 months. Seemed like a great deal! Now Im paying roughly $125 a week, $500 a month. My credit ***ort indicates Im being charged ****** % interest. There is no way my husband or I, or anyone in their right mind would sign off on that interest. This has made it difficult for us to make my car payment which is $611 a month. Because we had to do electronic withdrawals for American First Financial I was unable you make my car payment and that caused many issues including a big hit on my credit score which *** worked very hard to get where it was prior to buying this furniture. (Mid 700s)Ive almost paid my balance off. But their site states we still owe that same amount, as if I havent paid anything. This furniture is not worth $12,000 which will be about the amount paid when all is said and done. I want to pay the amount we were told at the store and be done. We will never be using this company or American Freight for our consumer needs. There is nothing American about these companies.Business Response
