I purchased furniture through ******** First Finance. As long the loan was paid off in 90 days there would be no interest. They jacked the price up immensely before the 90 days was up. I stopped making payments until they assured me this would be taken care of and I would pay the original amount. They set up payment plan to catch up on the payments. The took double of the amount authorized not once but twice over drawing my checking account and never brought down the amount due to the original price as promised. I filed a complaint on the BBB. I received one of the automated "please call us so we can work this out" message on the BBB website. So I called once again. They offered me a settlement. If paid in 30 days my debt would be cleared and no more harassing phone calls or texts. I have received phone calls, texts and emails every day since this agreement. The 30 days is not up but I am being threatening with "your account it about to be charged off". So if you get their automated message on here saying call us and we will work it out don't bother. At this point I have no choice but to let them write it off or take me to court because they do not work with you to get the matter resolved.Business Response

I have a closed account on my credit report with FinWise also known as American First Finance, Its reporting that I have two missed payments and I don't and its also showing a high balance of $474 which is inaccurate. In our response, we confirmed that the reporting of the account is accurate. We also respond to her rebuttal confirming the reporting was accurate and that we must report accurate information at all times. I keep receiving information from this company but I have never opened an account here. I also recently saw this account on my credit reports. It is obvious that someone has opened this account fraudulently in my name. I have never filled out an application with this company or received any funds.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: This is not the first time I have contacted this company to alert them of fraud and nothing happened. I think I know who used my credentials to open this account as I have been taken advantage of before in this way. I cannot prove who did it. May I have you take a look at this case; the customers rebuttal is the same complaint as the original complaint. In our response, we confirmed that both accounts were investigated for fraud and deemed non valid and also confirmed both accounts were being reported accurately. Documentation was provided within our response confirming our findings . In the rebuttal the customer mentions filling out the Identity Theft Affidavit and once we receive it, we can review the account once more but until then there isn't much more we can do. Thanks

Around February 20th I opened up this account for car repair services. My first payment was due on March 2nd. Unaware that the payment was coming out automatically I made the payment with my debit card of *****. Once I realized another payment was taken and it did not reflect the balance I called and talked with ****** on 3/15 he assured me the payment wouldn't be taken until 3/30, it came out anyway. I want my account to be credited for the extra payment that was taken and my balance to reflect it!Business Response

I went to ***************** in ************ on 2/16 the phone never worked and the workers actually approved the loan through email confirmation. I took phone back to store on 2/17 because I saw the contract and it was not what i was told and also the phone never switched over properly. I was told to contact American Finance which i did and they will not allow me to return the phone. They would like me to pay over 400 for a phone that never worked then donate it in order to get it out of my name instead of simply accepting the phone back and sending it back to the store. Crazy thing is the store told me to just keep the phone because it was nothing american finance could do since I didn't approve the contract nor the amount that they have been trying to charge me. They want over **** for a iphone 13 and its not even a new phone. I have been in constant contact with them. They are a rip off and I believe them and the store are both in it together and are s******* people out of money through their lies and manipulation. I want the phone out of my name ands I do not want to pay for something that I tried to return less than 15 hours later.Business Response

I never entered into an agreement because I never clicked a link. The people at the store clicked the link and had the phone and entered into an agreement that I would have never agreed too. I initially took the phone back to the store on the 17th and tried every day after that. I called and talked to someone at that location prior to the 28th so where you are getting that date from is incorrect. I called your location the following monday on 20th and proceeded to continue to call and try to talk with you guys. I explained what happened - and how I couldn't have gotten in an agreement. I currently live in *********** and it was not even me who took the phone into the store so its no way I was able to sign an agreement or agree to anything. And when I called the store to see why they had approved it he said I can always send it back or just keep it and not pay for it since it was nothing the store could do. I would not have agreed to paying almost 60 dollars a week when I am a college student with no income. When I spoke to the people at the store they said ***** a month and a 50 dollar phone bill so it would have been around 100 a month which is what my parents currently pay for my phone bill. There is no way I would agree to that let alone sign it because I am not stupid enough to agree to something I know I can not pay.
I feel that you and the store are in on this together - you enjoy trying to hurt peoples credit and think I would pay over ********************************************************************** This company is a fraud and the stores that use them are too.

They asked for my DL number to see if I would get approved not to actually go through with it. The phone was never activated and not used at all because when i asked them for the contract they said I would have to call you guys and that ya'll closed early then you guys were closed due to a holiday or something. I continued to call you guys - so if I actually signed up for a phone wouldn't I give them my correct email address - the same email address I have had since I Was 14 and the only email address I have. Why would I give a correct social security number and a fake email address if I was truly there and signed up for a phone.
