Purchased living room sectional furniture and dining room table from ****** home furniture XXXX XXth ** ** ****** **** XXXXX and was financed through amercian first finance $1200 with no interest rate if paid off in 101 days no interest would be added I feel I was overcharged couple times had to call and dispute those charges but it never added up I had charges added to my account for no reason and kept being told it was sales tax asked for a print out of total of my payoff and seen I was charged more money then I owed and will like to be refunded my money back my early buyout purchase was $1362.14 and paid a total of $1470.81 I was overcharged $108.67 and would like a refund of my money what is due to be paid back to me tried to talk to their customer service reps and explained that they overcharged me they tried to do nothing ask for a manager they refused to put one on the phone I would like a refund of what I am owed I don't want store credit because I'm never utilizing this finance company again their a scamBusiness Response

My complaint is I financed a sound system for my car I called the finance company and had put a payment of $411 before I had received my vehicle back. when I received my vehicle the work that was supposed to be done wasn't and still isn't done yet so I called the finance company back and let them know it wasn't done. I asked them for a invoice of what I'm paying for and the invoice they have is incorrect, I also asked for my payment history and they told me I had not made any payments but I had made a payment of $411 dollars I feel uncomfortable in this financial company not keeping track of my money I have put into my bill or a proper invoice of all of what I am paying for
I feel why would I have to pay for work that is unfinished and the work that was done is sloppy.Business Response

This company preys on people! I would suggest steering clear! You will end up paying wayyyy more than what you are supposed to pay! They told me at the store i had 90 days to pay off the furniture and they would charge me the full amount in 90 days which they didn't! I checked my balance because i just knew my purchase should be paid off by now! It's not! You can't see a receipt of what you've paid and what you owe! All of a sudden i get an email saying i owe 5000 for a 1900 dollar couch! Single mom of two now i guess I'll be paying on this furniture for forever because the lack of communication and the lies!Business Response

I purchased a couch on 04/18/2022.
The total amount was $1,939.97. I paid $840 that day and used a lease to own amount of $1,099.97. I have made 11 payments of $126.91 and paid more than I was told I would be paying. They are robbing me blind.Business Response

Scam company don't spend your money with them! High interest rates like I've never seen before. I bought 2 pieces of furniture which totaled around $1500. Now they are trying to charge me double almost $3000. The furniture didn't even come in top quality condition for them to be charging so much. I received a letter in the mail from AFF stating that I opted to use automatically recurring electronic fund transfers. I called them stating that I did not and that I did not know anything about this. The card listed is not one that I own. They told me to file a police report and send it to them. I told them file it about what. They would not tell me what I allegedly purchased.Business Response

This place is down right crooked!!! 168.69% interest rate. Crooks!!! I'm a single mom who needed a new couch. I went to a local business to support them and they had American first finance for a financing company. My couch was 2473.31 and will have paid 8713.60 by the time it is paid off. Purchase date from Conn's: *** 2022
I was lied to into believing that I could pay it in 3 months with no interest. After 3 months, the total went from 2,000 to 7,000.
This is a predatory company that lies and it's also parts of Conn's as they bank with them.
This is disgusting, I'm attaching documents with proof of the total for what should have been an easy 2k payment only.Business Response

I purchased a Samsung fridge through American Freight and opted to utilize the finance option they provided as they had already ran my credit. The finance company that the account is with is American First Finance. First, they do not allow their consumer to manage their own payment methods but force you into providing your debit and/or bank so they can automatically enroll you into auto pay without the option of turning this off on their website. FTC has made Payment and Billing regulations outlined on their website https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/credit-finance/payments-billing. Secondly, they are practicing unethical billing methods. They automatically initiated the payment on my account 24 hours prior to the actual day that the payment was authorized for being the 25th NOT the 24th. I did not notice this until AFTER I initiated my first payment which was a payment for the amount in full. However, the one option they did provide was a one time payment but still provided no confirmation number to show the payment was initiated.
Now because I made the payment in full to pay the unit off I am getting hit with an early pay off fee of another 50.00 after they charged 50.00 to start the finance so an extra 100.00 I have had to pay to this horrible lender.Business Response

There is a false claim that 1117 days ago from todays date of 10/24/22, that I made a purchase of $1300 on 10/03/19 which is totally untrue. I have not had business with the company since July of that same year which I fully paid off with proof in attached photo.Business Response
