To whom it may concern, I ***** am a domestic violence victim and has recently had my safety compromised. I contacted customer service of ******************** and asked to have my account permanently deleted several times and the agents have refused. **************** has restricted my account (which is fine I have no intention on retrieving) but refuses to delete. I had an account that my daughter created for me on her own and then showed me some of the people on the site. She asked if I was interested and I said yes but how do I access it if its under your email. ********************** so she said I will change the email to yours ******************** Once she did it was fine for a few days and when I started a conversation with some one and gave my phone number it started saying error and I lost the account.More so when we were going to talk the next day. I cried and emailed them multiple times. Some reference number is *******, I emailed at least four times asking for a call since there is not number. I then created and paid for a week subscription on Sunday the 6th under my other personal email. ******************** and reach out to **** whom I started to talk to and yesterday he got an email from Ourtime saying they shut down my first account and that I was a scammer. I am divorced 6 years and my child was trying to push me to start a new life. I am so hurt and now I probably will never hear from **** again. Since we are both ********* and I am sure he feels that God is shutting this down. Signed up for Our Time in June 2023 for one month. Cancelled within 2 weeks, I was being harassed by a certain person. I sent a message in July asking Our Time to remove my information from their site. I sent 2 more messages and they said my information was removed. It is now December and I get at least one email a week from someone using *******. Obviously my information is still out there. On November 13th Ourtime collected for 11/13/23 to 12/13/23 and I think it was either the 13th or 14th I canceled my subscription hoping that the month would run out and then they would not charge me again on 12/13/23. Instead of that happening they stopped my subscription immediately and so I paid for the month and did not receive the month that I had paid for.Business Response

OurTime users who cancel their subscription prior to the renewal date will still retain access to all paid features for the duration of the paid thru period. We have confirmed that **** cancelled this subscription correctly, but also see that **** resigned membership with OurTime, meaning that the account is deactivated on the service and no longer being circulated to other OurTime members. We take the contents of this concern to indicate that **** did not intend this, and have un-resigned his membership so he may continue to enjoy OurTime for the duration of the previously paid for time. We have also credited 10 days of additional time free of charge as a courtesy to ensure that no paid time has been lost.

I have used the dating app our time and decided to cancel. I canceled in the app store on my phone and It showed I canceled but I was able to use the app until jan 14 ****. I deleted the app. when I realized I was still being charged there was not answer from customer support. When you try to reset your password there is never a password reset email sent. I have got a hold of customer support through email with screenshots of the charges on my credit card and the cancelation on my app store and they are stating they cant find my original account used. I called my credit card and filed a dispute but again i was charged this month. the customer service number is not an actual support number it only tells you how to log in to cancel your subscription, not actual live person to talk to. **************Business Response

I joined ******* Dating site on 9/23/2023 and paid $90.49 for a subscription that should last a number of months (I think it was 6 or more).On 10/18/2023 I received an email that I thought was fraudulent claiming to be from OurTime: "Please know that OurTime welcomes all single adults seeking one-to-one relationships ranging from companionship to friendship, romance to marriage. However, we do not cater to individuals who are already in a relationship or marriage.To help ensure the quality of our site, please confirm your relationship status in the next 7 days, by replying to this email. Please know that if you are in a relationship status currently not supported by OurTime , or if we do not hear back from you within the next 7 days, we will be forced to terminate your membership." I wrote to ******* and asked them to verify that this actually came from them. They did not provide me with an answer. Then on 10/24/2023, I received this email: "Hi ******, Please note that Match welcomes all single adults seeking one-to-one relationships. However, we do not cater to individuals who are already in a relationship or marriage. Per the terms agreed to during the subscription process, you must be single or separated from your spouse to register as a member of Match or use our site. Therefore, your account has been terminated. We appreciate your understanding.Our Terms of Use can be referenced at the following link: **********************************************. If you paid to attend an upcoming Match Event, please know your name has been removed from the **** list and any charges associated with the event have been refunded. I signed up for the free service in the beginning of 2023, over 9 months ago. I wanted to browse the service to see if it was worth it. I was constantly sent emails to join the paid service. At the end of September, I finally decided to pay for a membership. I had the membership for less than 2 weeks and was notified "Please know that due to our Terms of Use, your Match account has been terminated. We believe this action to be in the best interests of our member community." I was on the service for 9 months without any notice and suddenly become not qualified for a membership after I submitted a payment? The attached is another example of the ongoing harassment by OurTime. This e-mail arrived just this am. They lied to you, again!!. They said that they had closed my account back on June 21st. That is over 4 months ago. They keep sending e-mail saying someone was responding to ME. That is a damned LIE! No one is RESPONDING to me. Have a friend, a retired *********** **********************; his favorite saying: " Sometimes in life there just aren't enough hand grenades to go around" These people are living proof of the viability of that statement. TO THE BBB: To be clear, the user's e-mail notifications for this account have already been turned off, provided the user has given the correct e-mail address in this concern and has not created multiple OurTime accounts with multiple e-mail addresses, or is referencing an account with another service. We cannot comment on the notification status for any accounts linked to e-mail addresses that have not been provided.
The user has, however, continued to contact the OurTime support team about this account, and the team has replied to these tickets as recently as November 2023. The user will continue to receive notifications for every support ticket response at the e-mail address they provided when the ticket was opened.
Additionally, the user's earlier claim is that he did not send any messages and therefore other OurTime users could not reply to his messages, is not accurate. We believe this was addressed in our previous responses.
