      Canceling my flight, the first flight of the day, and putting me on a flight that arrives at my destination the next morning is unacceptable. This is becoming a pattern with AA. I am disgusted with a business that can get away with poor service and through lives in to turmoil.

      They delayed our flight and told us at our initial location that because it was their fault that they would provide us with lodging for missed connecting flights. We missed our connecting flight. At our connection location they told us that the flight status had been put in as "delayed due to weather" and refused to provide lodging. Incompetent, scummy, and a scam.

      I arrived to *** AIRPORT to fly back home to *******. I was told to arrive early (about 4 hours). I tried to check my surf board bag and luggage with American Airlines they refused and told me I have to wait 3 hours. I then asked if I could leave it behind the counter and they refused. So Im stuck sitting waiting to check in my bags before I can even get lunch or go to the bathroom. Finally I called American Airlines customer support. They told me there is nothing they can do, I just have to sit and wait. This was horrible customer service (which I work in) and I will not fly with them again! Delta will be getting my money in the future

      Never trust this airlines to whatever reason you need to fly (vacation, leisure or work). They totally jeopardized 6 people vacation and the excuse about the flight being cancelled because of the weather cannot be supported by evidence, since all other companies didnt have the flights cancelled at all. Besides that, the coming back home was also messed up since the luggage of one of our friends traveled without the passenger and by law it should be punished properly (because of several incidents of terrorism reported in ***). It there is a way to describe a nightmare in a company, that should be it! We spent thousands of dollars in order to get to our destination (it would be more expensive to give up since resort was paid/reserved and could not be refunded) We are just being neglected about all the troubles we went thru and not financially compensated for our loss which was totally caused by American Airlines. Just dont trust and pay more for a reliable company if needed. American Airlines is the trash of all airlines!

      My flight credits expire the end of September. I asked if I had to travel before then and was told no, as long as I booked a flight before then. I went to book a flight for February 2023 and was told I couldnt use credit because I had to travel before 12/31/22. I was not told this and it does not say this in my email with the credit or under my wallet showing the credit. I was told the only way to complain and speak to someone was to send email, still waiting for a response. By the time they decide to contact me, my credit will expire. This is poor customer service! They are stealing $1400 from me!!! I will give my business to other carriers who treat the customer fairly. I travel multiple times during the year and AA will not get my business. Worst airline ever!!!!

      American Airlines is by far the worst airline company ever. I will never ever fly with American again. I had a flight from *** to *** on 08/14/2022. I checked in and everything seemed normal. My flight was at 6:59AM. I get an email at 1AM from American saying that they cancelled my flight because they didn't have enough crew members. The lady over the phone told me that the earliest flight they had available was for 1PM which would get to ****** at 3PM. I had many things to do in the morning and I really needed to be there so I told the customer representative that it would not work for me and she said she can provide me with a full refund since the flight was cancelled on their end and I said proceed with the refund. She said I would get my money back in my account in two days. I had to book another flight with United which costed me $200 more that the original flight and I am not tripping on that because I got to ****** in time. Yesterday I got an email from American saying that they denied my refund request because it was booked thru priceline and I have to talk to them. I call priceline and after fighting with them over 2 hours they just keep telling me that I have to talk to American Airlines for that and they have my money. I call back American Airlines and they keep telling me that I have to talk to priceline. American Airlines is stealing money from people. They are the ones who cancelled the flight and they keep denying to give my money back. How does that even work? A million dollar company needs my $250? This is a shame. I will never ever fly with American ever again!!!

      20 years ago, because of their many canceled flights, I chose to use other airlines. This year I decided to give them another try. Much to my disappointment, they are worse than ever before. They are the most UNRELIABLE and UNETHICAL airlines to date. They canceled 3 of my flights causing me to be stuck overnight in *******, and they told me to get a hotel and they would reimburse me. When I went to turn in my receipts, the fax number posted on their website didn't work and the address, I was told by other employees won't work. So I finally went online to file a claim where the customer service offered me **** points (maybe worth $75) instead of reimbursing my hotel and lyft which totaled over $300. Now I have to take them to small claims. So ridiculous and unethical. AVOID AT ALL COST - this company lacks integrity!

      Booked my flight for my 10 year wedding anniversary 6 months out. They changed the flight three times now and I have had to reschedule charters, hotels, excurison, and car rentals. Not to meniton it might change again as I don't leave for another 3 months. I have spoken with a half dozen different people. I was willing to keep the later time on one leg of the flight which only cost me a day of my vacation and buy with Southwest on the other leg. They intially said given the change they would refund it, but then they couldn't refund a partial fair on an interntaional round trip because of some rule. Ok...Then I asked about just keeping the change and only taking the return leg. They said if I dont get on the departing flight a week prior they will cancel the entire trip, thus leaving me stranded. All the other flights are taking a 5 hour flight and making it 10+ hours with layovers, connections, etc... My only option is to buy another sinlge leg flight at TWICE the cost. Give fuel, or lack of profits, or whatever arbitrary reason they want. I am losing two days and paying twice the original fare. I spent an entire day researching other airlines and solutions myself since noone was capable of wiling to help.They change flights without concern or regard for the impact on customers. I was met with an unwillingness to help, lack of empathy, and even had a 'supervisor' insult me for buying "basic fares" instead of the upgrade. Unbelievable. This lady was trying to upsell me while dealing with my complaint. This upset me, she put me on hold to "cool off" and then like a ********************* up on me. The airline offered a fair credit for about 50% of the difference of what I had to pay, but the of course my destination was not allowed to redeem such a credit. So they offered me nothing in hopes of going away. They upcharge you for everything that use to be basic service. $50 bag fees, $40 upgrade to be eligible for a refund, $8 to pick my seat...AVOID AA LIKE COVID

      Update. As advised by the rep at AA. Since my flight was changed by the airline I would be eligible to cancel the trip and collect a refund. I just recieved notification this morning that only the seat selection fee could be refunded and not the main fair. This company stole $800 from **** have filed a dispute charge with my credit card company.

      Are Airlines really not liable for any of the horrors of travel a passenger experiences. I am an American citizen and my mother, an Indian passport holder on a visit **** to **. A much awaited 5 day break to ******* turned into a nightmare on landing as the immigration authorities took my unwitting 72 year old mother into confinement for insufficient documentation. #American Airlines staff had checked us into the 8 hour flight from *** to ***** and let us through without the required documents. While I admit my oversight at not reconfirming doc requirements, what appalled me was the airline's total refusal to support us through a harrowing 10 hour ordeal at *****. Despite several requests to the airline to accommodate us on an earlier return due to exceptional circumstances,it was just faced with a blank refusal.My mother is still traumatised by the experience and relives the nightmare of being detained in a small space for 10hrs and sent back on the next flight. I am sure hundred go through this experience but a total lack of empathy and support from an airline that proclaims proudly " You Are Why We Fly" seems like a joke. I have written a detailed complaint but feel this post can help hundreds who rely too heavily on Airlines to keep their promise.
