Bought 2 tickets for my mother and law and niece to come from ********. at the airport they didn't let them get their tickets to board plane. called here in ******* requesting my money back they told me they couldn't do anything for me. basicly they simply stole my money and worst of all I even used their American Express delta skymiles credit card to purchase the tickets. How sad they need money that bad. no reason for not letting them board documented I was told.. I guess in other countries they are able to discriminate... Wouldn't recommend American Airlines to anyone. what can one expect from companies now days..American Airlines

American Airlines steals their customers money with ridliculous rules. I bought a round trip ticket for a relative with my credit card. Two days later a family emergency ended the need for the plane trip. When I call American Airlines..., they informed me that their policy was that the money paid for the tickets could not be refunded even thought the plane flight was 6 days from departure. When I asked could I ( the individual who purchased the tickets with my Master Card ) be given a voucher for a future flight in the amount of the purchase price..., they again informed me that only the individual who the ticket was purchased for could recieve the voucher ( even though American Airlines clearly could see the Master Card was in My name and that I bought the tickets). This is a deliberate attempt to steal the customers money and never give the customer anything of value when a unforseen circumstance arises causing a cancellation. I will never, ever use this airline in the future and would suggest any person even remotely thinking about using them..., to reconsider. You will be dissapointed.American Airlines

Booked a flight from *** (*********) to Georgia. Two hours before the flight they cancelled the flight and switched the airport to *** for a later time which caused me to lose clients because I had meetings scheduled around the original flight arrival time.I called to have my return flight for returning to DCA and the rep hung up in my face. After getting that squared away, I checked my bags on my return flight.Upon arrival at 2AM, I get a text that my bags were not going to be there and they offered a 4 hour baggage return service so I took it.4 days later and I still dont have my bags. And my car is still at the airport since my keys are in my bag as well as my work badge being in my car. I called and emailed American Airlines to be compensated and the **** ******************** only justified American Airlines. Saying that they did their job and there is not compensation available for this inconvenience.Worst airline experience ever!American Airlines

Something went terrible wrong to my last flight from ***** to ******** on 7/3. American Airlines sold me a bad ticket. I bought my ticket before **** ** to the morning on 7/3 before I checked in everything was fine, AA did send me many E-mails asked me to check in. **on check-in the lady at the counter told me she couldnt see my connecting flight from ******* to ***** but she checked me in anyway, she told me to claim my baggage at **************. she prints out my itineraries and ask me to check on the screen for the gate when I arrived at ******* airport. I told her its something wrong because I went back to ******** many times, I always claim my baggage at the final destination. She told me you were fine you got everything. She just wanted me to leave her alone. When I landed in *******, I received a phone call from Japan Airline, first thing he asked me was, are you ********? I answer him no, then he said you are not allowed to fly with us. I have just switched you to Korean airlines, you have to exit terminal 3 and go to terminal 5 right now by train. After I receive my boarding pass, I realized that I have to layover in Korea for 24 hours and I had to pay $160 for the transit hotel. After I arrived in ************, ********. Another bad thing happened, they lost my luggage. They say it will take 24 to 48 hours for me to get my baggage. Which is at least another 24 hours layover in ************. I made a complaint to AA customer relationship. They say they get me to my final destination they have done their job. They say they get my baggage back, they have done nothing wrong. They blame on me for not aware of the travel requirements of transiting through *****. My question is why did you check me in when you could not see my connecting flight. why did you let this mistake happened and spoiled my whole trip? 24 hours layover in Korea and 24 hours layover in ************ for my baggage. I wasted two days because of your mistakes.American Airlines

Our flight got canceled not our problem, aircraft issues and it took us more than 2 hours in line to get another flight, wait for about another 4 hours at the airport to board and had to chose another airport, paid for a rental car plus gas money and drive for over 2 hrs to get there the same day we have not been compensated, we would like to get some travel credit at least.... Please respond to my message...not fairAmerican Airlines

This is the worst airline I have ever flown. I will never ever book with them again. We got cancelled our 1st flight, 2nd flight the navigation system needed to be fixed so they made us get off, third time we got on again and it was the same issue !!!!! Why don't any of these plans work and why don't the pilots inspect there plans before they board ppl !!! This is a mess this company is the worst!!! I will be getting my money back.American Airlines

Six hour layover turned into eight hours eight hours turned into 10 hours 10 hours turned into 12 hours. Now 12 hours is Turning into 20, this wouldnt be a problem if the customer was an adult, But the customer is a *********** child by himself, I called customer service to find out what I can do about my son being alone in the airport at 12 oclock at night, its criminal! I know there is a curfew law for minors after 10 oclock, how can the airline do this? To a child?!?!?!?! CHILDAmerican Airlines

Worst airline ever! Cancelled my flight and no help at all to rebook. I literally got to the airport and there wasnt a single customer service rep at the ********************** kiosk. I had to pick up the emergency phone and summons someone to come out and explain what was goin on. I mean, did they expect me to see the cancelled flight and just say that ***** and go back home. I missed an entire day of travel. I had to make my own arrangement to get to the airport an hour and a half a way from where my flight was cancelled. What customer service? They act like this was some sort of free service I booked. When I got to ************, I was more than frustrated. I politely asked if there was anything American Airlines could do to make up for the extreme inconvenience. Nothing. Not a free checked bag, no meal voucher, I even asked if I could use their fancy lounge since I was gonna be in the airport for over 8 hours. Nope. Nothing.To top it all off, I filled out the customer relations form. They responded with a template email and $125 credit towards my next flight. What a joke? A straight smack in the face. I will never use American Airlines in the future. This is the worst customer service in all my years of travel. You might as well merge with Spirt or Frontier. American Airlines is well beneath them in my book!American Airlines

Had a flight at 9 am and this company text me at 2am while i was sleeping to let me know that it has been delayed. This delayed was going to make me late for my connecting flight. So i had to cancel the whole trip. This company wont give me my money back either since it was a non refundable ticket. Im a 59 years old lady and the company wanted to me to take a flight to ***** and then wait God only knows how long before getting on my final flight. This is the second time in two months that it has happened to a family member. This company has become a laughing stock and a shameAmerican Airlines

Lost luggage. 3hours phone waits. No one is communicating with me about where my luggage is. I had a non stop flight so I do not understand how my luggage was lost but a friends luggage checked in at the same time arrived to *****.American Airlines
