      The fact that they have a $99 cancellation fee no matter what the circumstances are and I spent an hour requesting this be waived for the agent to simply tell me what I already knew is insulting. ***** never treats me like this and has often worked with me in circumstances like this. I do not recommend American Airlines if you have any flight concerns or expect customer service to be helpful.

      This airline is terrible. I was delayed 5 hours for my flight, even with taking a different flight, and received nothing in exchange for my time. I missed an event I had planned already, and I had to get a new rental AND a new hotel because we arrived so late. I originally was supposed to arrive at *** on 5/30 at 9:05pm, I did not arrive until 5/31 at 1:43am. I was not offered a food voucher, nor expenses repaid for hotel/rental or a refund. I would like something in exchange for my time, I have contacted customer relations which was no help whatsoever. I also spoke with reservations and ticketing, who claims they have no jurisdiction in the matter. At this point, I am getting the run around and I cannot accept that. On top of that, the customer service was **** poor! You all need to do better.

      My wife and son recently flew back and forth between *******, ********, and **********, ********. The first segment of the outbound flight was canceled at short notice, and the second segment of the inbound flight was missed due to a maintenance problem that delayed the first segment of the flight in **********. Consequently, I had to drive back and forth between *********, ********, and *********, **************, to give them rides, which totaled over 12 hours of driving. My wife and I called the customer service about ten times to no avail. They would not pay compensation for the extreme difficulty that we had to go through, and gave no response on refunds for the missed and canceled flights either. The customer relations department replies with routine answers, and customer representatives over the phone either do not know the proper solution or pass the issue to customer relations or another department, stating that there is no alternative solution. While issues were caused by the airlines, they seemed not to care about their customers, despite claiming that customer satisfaction is their priority. ********************** is notorious for these issues (far more than other airlines), and we have been reminded recently.

      Discriminatory & Unprofessional Treatment of First-Class Passengers I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the treatment my elderly mother (nearly 70 years old) and I received while traveling to ***** with your American Airline, despite holding first-class tickets for four individual flights.Upon arrival at the airport, we appropriately entered the Priority/First Class check-in line. However, we were unexpectedly & unreasonably directed to a different line, one that included over 20 student athletes requiring group processing. This unnecessary reassignment significantly delayed our check-in, leaving us with only 45 minutes to board our ********* the check-in counter, we were met with alarming levels of unprofessional behavior. The staff member assisting us refused to provide her name and was not wearing a visible name tag. She and another employee were seen laughing and conversing casually while we stood waiting for assistance, clearly being ignored. When she finally acknowledged us, she coldly informed us that we were one minute past the boarding cut-off and would not be allowed to board despite our first-class status and the delay being caused by the line reassignment imposed by your own staff.We were re-booked in economy (Row 28), and when we inquired about a refund or compensation for the downgraded seats, the staff member said under her breath, Maybe you shouldn't book flights you cant afford to miss,.

      Absolutely the worst experience.I am an AA 1M Mile'r (Gold for Life), but when trying to book a flight yesterday, the system locked up (may be my fault, it's Veeeery slow). I got a rate of $375 for the ** Flight. When logging back in to complete the transaction, the flight had gone up $200.REALLY?Analytics may save you money, or may make you more money, but it will lose you customers.PITIFUL!

      Hello,I am extremely angry and disappointed with how we were treated on our recent flight. We booked our seats in March, yet they were changed before we received our boarding pass without any explanation or prior notice. We were denied the use of the app and forced to take paper boarding passes. No one informed us of the seat change; we only found out after we were already on the plane from POS-**** That is completely unacceptable.I have a serious fear of turbulence and I never travel alone for this exact reason; I need someone I know next to me to feel safe. This flight was rough, and being forced to sit away from my companion made it traumatic. Had we been kept in our original seats, I would have had the support I needed. Your lack of communication put my well-being at risk, and frankly, I could have had a heart attack during that ********* make matters worse, at the ********, a staff member targeted us and forced us to check our carry-on bag, even though it met the airlines size requirements. We've used that same bag on flights around the world without any issue. Meanwhile, she let others with much larger bags board without saying a word. This felt like blatant discrimination, and it was unfair and disrespectful.I had a terrible experience flying with American Airlines. This treatment was unprofessional, unacceptable, and infuriating. I expect a prompt response and a clear explanation of how this situation will be addressed. Please contact me *************** more the thing, the flight attendant showed attitude serving water stating that I already served you 2 water glasses, here is the third from flight from *** to POS, an international flight.

      This is by far the worst airline I've ever went to in my life, and I will never fly it again. They didn't accommodate. It was their fault that the flight got delayed. They left eight of us at the airport, children and all with nowhere to go till the very next day. and the flight was the worst flight ever turbulence was insane.

      Absolute worst airline ever. Was delayed on my first flight for a maintenance issue. Now my second flight is delayed and they cant give us a time for a maintenance issue. A 4 hr trip has turned to 11 and probably even more. Sounds like they have a bunch of cheap planes. I will 100% pay for the extras on spirit or frontier because ANYTHING is better than this sad excuse for an airline.

      AA1032 was supposed to leave at 7:11am from CID. I've been sitting here waiting for 9 hours to get on this flight. It's 3:00pm. Still haven't boarded the plane. This is absolutely ridiculous. I was up at 4:30am and can't hardly function anymore. American Airlines has successfully handed me the worst travel experience of my life and I'm an extensive traveler. Horrible, horrible. They could have flown another plane in 4 times by now with this length of a delay. What an absolutely nightmare of an experience and it's still going on.

      Booked a trip with American Airlines. Ended up cancelling with them because of multiple changes in the flight times. Booked the return flight with them. Why? I don't know. Temporarily insanity maybe. Anyway, first leg of trip was fine, except they don't have in flight entertainment screens. They had a holder for my cell phone, which I could watch a movie I had downloaded to my phone. WOW!! A cell phone holder. Spare no expense!! The kicker is the second leg of the trip. When we landed we saw that our flight was delayed 2 hours. While waiting for the flight it got delayed another hour. WHAT THE HECK!!! For the price of the ticket and baggage fees you could be on time. I understand about weather and mechanical delays, but this is ridiculous. Nobody communicated with us. We all found out be looking at the information screen at the gate. I will NEVER fly with American Airlines again.
