I had a wreck in May 2023. After months of dealing with the car insurance of the other driver, my insurance and ************* everthing was settled. OR so I thought. Now I am a few days from signing on a new house, so they pulled my credit only to find out that Toyota put a past due amount on my credit report and had sent it to collections. I was not notified of this past due amount. According to the insurances it was for interest, one even stated Toyota is known to do this. I spent all morning on the phone, paid the past due amount because the collections agency would not tell me who I owed, and Toyota will not resend it and take it off my credit report. Unless I write a letter and it will take 30 days for them to respond. Toyota's customer service was horrible. Now I am not going to be able to get the new home my family and I were so excited about. And I could understand if this was my fault but like I said I was unaware of this. Toyota even sent me a letter stating my account had been closed with a zero balance.Toyota Motor Credit Corporation

November 16, 2023 BBB Case: Review Contact Name: *********************************** Account Number: ********** ******************** of Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is in receipt of the complaint filed against Toyota Motor Credit Corporation (****) and TFS regarding their experience after the total loss of the above refenced account. Our records align with ************************************* regarding the 'paid in full' letter sent on June 14, 2023. However, the same 'paid in full' letter also includes the statement: As of the date of this letter, your account is considered paid in full subject to a final accounting and receipt of funds.Subsequently, on June 22, 2023, TFS sent a notice regarding their Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP) claim and the required documents for GS Administrators, their GAP administrator. Upon receiving the pending documents on July 11, 2023, TFS obtained approval from GS Administrators for a payment of $1,256.82, leaving a balance of $289.77.TFS mailed a notice to *********************************** at the same address where the acknowledgment of the 'paid in full' letter was received. This notice included a breakdown of the funds received by TFS and outlined the deficiency due within ten (10) days. Furthermore, it was noted that interest would continue to accrue. The notice also indicated that if *********************************** failed to arrange payment within 30 days from August 30, 2023, TFS would charge off their account and might report it to the credit bureaus. Due to limitations in the BBB system, we have sent a separate copy for their review.Additionally, TFS made multiple attempts to contact *********************************** via phone for payment arrangements, but unfortunately, were unsuccessful. Toyota Financial Services posted my car tax payment in the wrong place and now keep billing me for that exact amount that I payed 3 months ago. For some reason they can't resolve it. They have told me in 6 different phone calls that it would be resolved in 4-5 business days. Why a "financial ******** ******* can't fix something so simple is beyond me. This could ruin my exceptional credit rating. These people are impossible to deal with and not very good.Toyota Motor Credit Corporation

The worst customer service On October 18th, 2023 called to defer a payment due to an injury and being out of work. The guy tells me I was approved for the month of October and goes through details of my loan and I will be receiving a email to sign the documents. I called back following week because never received documents I was told by another representative I was denied??? So told them since call recorded from first call. I wanted it to be reviewed by a supervisor because I was lied to. I told I would receive a call once supervisor reviewed the call. I never received the call. Absolutely bad customer service. Even one star Im not good they have been doing this for more than few years for me. After I leased the vehicle from **************** Lexus ********* took about few months to send paperwork. Last year I bought the car they over changed about 2800$ they refunded the amount after I requested if I hadnt noticed they wouldnt have refunded. Now its 2023 October even after a year of payments they havent transferred the title they keep complaining outs dealership who havent sent the paperwork. They say nicely that I am here to help and I know u are frustrated but I cant do anything this company is very rude irresponsible illegally holding the car in their name for about year now , be careful with these people they seem fraudulent, I see so many complaints no has taken any actions yet .Toyota Motor Credit Corporation

I had a double payment come out of my bank account and they could not send me my money back as quick as they were to take it from me. I have been a loyal customer for about 6 years now and I was treated with disrespect. I will pay off my truck and in the future I will never buy from Toyota again. The dealership is horrible they lie to you and say no bull but I was treated again with no respect. I was told I would have to make payments over $700 to 900 on a new vehicle when that was a complete lie! Ive spend the past 2.5 years making payments for more than the minimum and this company has stolen all the extra and put towards interest. Then I spent an hour on the phone with them last month to make sure the last $1300 would go towards my principal and still they didnt do it. The way it looks like right now is they are taking all the interest upfront and most likely extra ontop for potential criminal reasons. Several months ago, Toyota Finance erroneously duplicated a $360+ payment from my son's account. They agreed they made a mistake, yet wouldn't give him the money back digitally and said they'd send him a check in 2-3 weeks. Then, that exact vehicle was totaled and paid off, and the account was marked inactive. Guess what? They fraudulently deducted the money again on a vehicle that doesn't exist for which they received and recorded a payoff amount. Their automatic withdrawal for a paid-off vehicle will be the second time we have lodged a fraud claim against Toyota Finance. After reading these reviews, this seems to be a common issue with Toyota Motor Credit and we will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial *****************Toyota Motor Credit Corporation

Toyota Financial Services is the worst website and worst customer service I have ever experienced. To say "I have ever experienced" implies the customer service exists so that might be a mistake in my word choice. Their website has been "experiencing technical problems" for weeks. So they have sold me a car and they wont let me pay for it because you cannot process a payment online or sign up for recurring payments because the website never works. You CANNOT get a human on the phone. I then tried to find where to send them an email. To do so you:1. fill out a form online 2. the form sends you a text and email with directions to go to their website and go to support center. 3. I do so, and it says "error you dont have permission to view this" So to recap their website doesnt work, you cant get a human on the phone, you cant email them and yet they expect me to magically get them money every month. I cannot believe this absolute s*** tier website comes from such a traditionally well known car company. Also I only left one star because you cant select 0 stars which is what this travesty masquerading as a finance company deserves.Toyota Motor Credit Corporation

If I could, I wouldnt give any stars at all I purchased a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica from Toyota and got the gap to cover the difference between my vehicle and insurance insurance only covered a portion and Im still out **** and theyre telling me that the gap doesnt cover whats the whole point of getting the gap if its not gonna cover your vehicle, please read page 2 before you purchase the gap when you purchase a vehicle at purchase for vehicles from Toyota Avondale, but I will no longer be taking my business there. I do not want to give any starch to them. They do not deserve it, but I guess you have to put one star but buyers beware when you purchase the gap for your vehicleToyota Motor Credit Corporation

September 12, 2023 Contact Name: ********************************* ******************** of Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is in receipt of the review submitted by *********************************, regarding her dissatisfaction with the *** coverage purchased through Toyota Motor Insurance Services (TMIS). After a thorough review of the account, TMIS did confirm and calculate a *** claim to identify if the customer was *********** a benefit. When TMIS calculated the details related to the claim, there was no deficiency balance, and the claim was closed. In reference to a deficiency balance due in the review provided by the customer, this vehicle is not financed with TFS. The lender that financed the vehicle can provide a breakdown of charges related to the deficiency balance for reference.
