The store on **** street is ABSOLUTELY INSIDIOUS AND THEY ARE LIARS AND GO FOR BAIT AND SWITCH TATIC MY IVE CALLED CORPORATE OFFICE SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY PUT IN COMPLAINT TO DISTRICT MANAGER TO RETURN MY CALLS AND HAVEN'T GOTTEN A CALL YET I CALLED INQUIRING ABOUT A DEEP FREEZER A STORE ASSOCIATE AND I WERE TEXTING, DONT REMEMBER THE NAME BUT I HAVE TEXT MESSAGES IN MY PHONE SAVED GUY SAID TOTAL COST OF FREEZER IS 350 AND I PUT A 100 DOWN IT WOULD COVER ME FOR MY 1ST MONTH I ADVISED IF FREEZER ONLY 350 WHY WOULD I PUT A 100 DOWN ?? HE ASKED THAT I CALL STORE ON THAT MONDAY AND SPEAK TO MANAGER TO GET THAT AMOUNT LOWERED..I DID JUST THAT GAVE THEM ******************************************************************* SO LATER THEY WERE CALLING ASKING FOR MY NEXT PAYMENT.. THEY, BY THE WAY NEVER BROUGHT ANY CONTRACT TO MY HOME TO SIGN NOR DID THEY SEND ONE BY EMAIL I HAD TO CALL CORPORATE TO OBTAIN IT ONLINE THROUGH THEYRE WEBSITE THEY WAS WANTING ME TO ANOTHER 90+ DOLLARS , FOR WHAT I NEVERRRRR AGREED TO THAT NEITHER VERBALLY OR WRITTEN. THEN GET A RUDE CALL FROM A DENGENERIT NAME ********* (THE MOST OBNOXIOUS PERSON IVE EVER DEALT WITH). HE TOLD ME I GOT WRONG INFORMATION, HOW WHEN I HAVE ALL THE MESSAGES IN MY PHONE AND THEY ALSO THREW IN SOME TYPE OF EXTRA PROTECTION IN WHICH I NEVER EVEN DISCUSSED MUCH LESS AGREED TO AND HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY HE IS COMING TO PICK UP HIS FREEZER AS IF IT BELONGED TO HIM!! IM AWAITING CORPORATE TO CALL ME BACK AGAIN AS I WRITE.. MY NEXT IS TO THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. I CANT IMAGINE HOW MANY PEOPLE THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF JUST TO GET AN UNETHICAL SALE!Rent-A-Center, Inc.

I got a couch from the ******************* store in Phoenix I explained to the manager I had fraud on my account and needed to set up other payment arrangements. I was paying what I could with cash went into the store and was belittled as well as my payment was not excepted because it was $10 short. I have had never ending phone calls and texts at 3am and after 9pm as well as them showing up at my door 3+ x a day and leaving nasty notes on my door I have been yelled at for not answering my phone *********** 15 hrs a day and can't answer while at work! I am now behind on payments because it took over 2 weeks to get my account transferred to another store this is a horrible company and employeesRent-A-Center, Inc.

I did a review on them and put 0 because of miscommunication. Everything has been communicated and I hope the ********** in ****** ** on ************** gets this review. This is by far the absolute most garbage company to work with when it comes to lease anything. They don't give an inkling of respect or an ounce of compassion or care to their customers. My wife was down with covid for this last week and I was affected by inclement weather. We asked for a tide over and for them not to pick up our products. Again this is NOT ON OUR HANDS we did not ask for this. We did not ask to be sick or off for inclement weather. However, **** was rude and simply stated that at the *********, OK store and per rent a center policy they have to pick the product up because we are late. I informed him my wife has taken a job making **** a week and we can easily bring the account to CURRENT AND FULL balance next week. Current and full folks. However, instead the team showed up and beat on my doors and windows scaring my sitter and my children. Very unprofessional here I have worked for numerous companies that are #1 in their industry. They are all #1 because they believe in what service is. They believe that at the end of the day the customer is what feeds them. Absolutely disgusted right now.Rent-A-Center, Inc.

Would not recommend, I went to Value city to get a table and a sectional and got told that it was 120 days to pay it off. I am almost at my 120 day **** and notice that the contract is misleading. I thought that the total that was on the contract included the 12 percent but it didn't it was another amount so instead of my things being **** my total is more I already made 4 payments of ******, **** now I'm told I have to pay **** on 01/19. If I knew that I was going to get charged that much I would have went with progressive leasing. They put all the info in the contract and don't mislead people. To top it off I call value city acceptance now to tell them I was confused and the manager hung up on me and said you signed the contract and agreed to it! Never again I'm ****** because I literally had the money just thought it was like a 90 day same as cash like progressive leasing does! Never AGAIN!!!!Rent-A-Center, Inc.

I completed an online application on Rentacenter.com to rent an Asus 14" ***** Celeron N4020 Laptop on Thursday, December 8, 2022. **** texted me from the rent a center text number at 1:10am stating he would review my order. He asked my store which is *************************,** *****, Store number ***** and I stated yes. He proceeded to ask my address and sent me the Collecting Consumer Information via text. I completed it, and he asked stated he received it and said he saw that I paid the down payment already and if this was true, I replied yes. The down payment was $10.00 because of a holiday deal. He then asked if I would like my item delivered, I said yes and he set up a tentative delivery date and I enrolled in Auto pay as well as Benefits plus. He then said I would need to complete a call with a representative from my store. That call happened Thursday December 8, 2022 at 12:26pm. A store associate named ******, asked for references and proof of residence. I stated to her that I lived with a roommate and could not provide a lease and she said that ************* ID cards with my name and current address could not be accepted because "a car can be parked anywhere" whatever that means. Upon the hassle of providing proof of residency, I asked for my order as well, as my Husband's who was going to purchase a queen sized bed, set to be canceled on December 9, 2022. The employee who did not state their name via text message responded they would talk to their manger about how to go about canceling both orders. It is now December 17, 2022 and my card as well as my husbands card is still being charged and neither of us have received goods from the store and not any feedback about the policy being canceled. The customer service is terrible and unprofessional. Not only do they make it a hassle to receive products in the first place, but have terrible communication and customer service skills. This is my last resort, seeing as to how I still haven't been helped.Rent-A-Center, Inc.
