We entered a contract with G3 Solar June 2023. The promise was around 3 months. In September 2023 we failed the inspection due to the contractor having a Utah license. We were promised compensation for paying double bills. Also was to have a transfer switch installed per contract. Several employees later they are saying they can't investigate the complaint. I do not have any paperwork from Good Leap and they are not responding for documentation. I have the payments coming out of our bank. I will not provide G3 with my bank statements. We were finally approved with ********* June 2024. The company is lacking follow through and professional. I will provide the documents through email as this does not allow for file size.

G3 Solar will provide a payment of $700 for system downtime to the *****.  After a review of the signed installation agreement a transfer switch is not included.  G3 Solar will facilitate the purchase and installation of a transfer switch if requested.

We had a solar system installed by G3 solar. The salesman told us it would run our house with no problem indefinitely if the power was out. This system wnt even run through the night without power and they are trying to charge us 75 grand we won't sign the final on it because it's not right. They say this is all they promised us it would be and it's just not true. And the refuse to make it right. We could have gotten a system from them for half this price that does what this one does. Now they say they will put a lean on our property or make us pay a cancelation fee. All we told them is that if they don't want to make it right then they need to come and take it out!! The only reason we wanted solar is so that we would have power when the regular power goes down. That's why we were willing to pay 75 grand for this system but we don't have that it won't even get us through the night and it's not even winter and short days yet

Mr. ****** signed an install agreement with G3 Solar for a 6.560 kW solar system that would produce an estimated 10,834 kW in the first year of production.  The install agreement also contained a Lithion 3 stack battery.  The solar system has been installed along with the battery as outlined in the signed install agreement.  G3 Solar is attempting to schedule an inspection of the system with the local jurisdiction but has been unable to do so as Mr. ****** has denied all requests.  An inspection is needed in order to be granted permission to operate from Mr. ******’s utility company.

G3 solar has not finished the job.The salesman who sold us this solar system told us it would run indefinitely when the power goes out!! It does not we have tested it. The guy who installed it showed us how to operate it. And it won't even run on its own through the night.it won't even run on its own on a cloudy day.We told the salesman that the only reason we wanted solar was because we have alot of power outages here so he assured us that this system he sold us would run all on its own so we were willing to pay the 75 grand for this system. We were obviously lied to.why would we pay this much money for a system that won't even run on a cloudy day and won't even get us through a cold night. They have alot cheaper systems that will do what this system does which is nothing. The only reason we wanted a solar system is so we could get through a cold night if the power went out.Or not loose all the meat we have in the freezer in the the summer.we were also told we would be trading the solar bill for our electric bill as it stands we would have to pay both.It doesn't make any sense. We just want them to come and get their system and be done with this nonsense. This system was supposed to be done Nov to Dec of last yr 2023and here we are almost 2025 and they are now trying to say they did not promise us what the salesman did tell us we would have. All we wanted is what they promised.Isnt there any honest people left

I signed a contract with G3 solar to install solar panels on my house. I was told that these panels would generate enough electricity in the spring and summer to offset my electric bills. However since the instillation the only month that I haven't paid First energy is May. I was very upset when I paid a 60 dollar electric bill in June as that is the month that has the most sunlight. I have pain in July, and August and this month I received a 90 dollar electric bill. I am paying the loan company Mosiac 193 dollars a month for this loan and for the next 30 years it will go up to 275 dollars per month. Paying the loan is not a problem but paying for a product that does not do what it is supposed to do is the problem/

The Simmons solar system has been operational for four full months.  With a limited sample size G3 Solar ran a production audit and has found the system is currently producing at a rate that will hit the annual first year production that was listed in the install agreement.  Another production audit can be run closer to 12 full months of production in order to determine the health of the system.

Around Nov. 2023, we purchased solar panels from g3 solar. We were the salesperson's first sell in which he told us that these panels would give us no utility bill, moreso a credit. If we were billed for utilities it would be an extremely low amount. Our utility bill is still around $100, give or take. We were told that the tax incentive would be given all at once and that if our electric went out, these panels would come into play and keep our electric on. None of this was accurate. We have called and called since the panels were installed stating that we thought these things were going to happen, but were essentially just told that they can't do anything because we signed the contract and the contract is meeting what it's supposed to (which is just a certain number of kw/hr.). We signed this contract for FIFTY-THOUSAND dollars thinking that we'd have no utility bill, we would immediately knock it down to $35,000 with the tax credit, and that our house would still have power through the panels even if the power in the area went out. We trusted our salesguy and all of this information was inaccurate. We are now stuck, $50,000 in debt to something that we were completely misinformed about. They are stating if we don't want an electric bill, we need to add 6 more panels, which would be $12,000 more added onto the already existing $50,000 -- even though we were originally told that the $50,000 would take care of that. It's COMPLETELY false advertising. We would really just like the panels removed. We agreed to this thinking all of the above statements would be true. If we can't get the panels removed, we would like the 6 extra panels paid for by the company as it was not our fault that their math was wrong and that we were completely misinformed by their salesperson.

On August ******* a young man came to my home to introduce hisself and his company. I liked the idea and the product but in review after everything was signed electronic myself and my wife found out the panels was not enough and the pricing was exaggerated. We called the young man and the Utah office to cancel everything. The young man and the company refused to answer their phones. So August 13, 2024 we finally got an answer from the company stating that I have to wait a week for an answer with possible $1500 cancellations fee. It was just a few hours and not 4 days required to cancel and they decide only to get back to me Ina week which is over the required 4 days. Is this a *************** or a fraud?

Since ****************** solar project was cancelled within the right or recission period contained within his install agreement no cancellation fee will be charged.

Originally purchased a 9.2 KW system with G3 Solar in June 2023 for $68,000. Everything was completed and installed May 2024. This was a huge relief to me and my wife that we finally had our solar system working after an entire year of struggling with G3 Solar, which was mostly about them not communicating to us about anything. Once this was running it was not communicating, so G3-Solar sends out some technicians to repair this issue which took 2-3 visits to resolve this issue. This seemed trivial since this could have been setup when the panels were originally installed on the house Oct.2023. The solar panel only needs the sun to power up system and setup communication. The payment is $400 a month, which it was supposed to equal what we already paid in electric bill originally $300. This does not seem to be a cost saving plan for electrical if we end up paying an extra $150 every month. The solar array of 23 panels stopped producing power within a couple of weeks, and went down to having only 4 panels working. We next have an issue with our roof and we have to hire another company to replace the roof. We picked a roofing company that installs solar as well and has employees that used to work for G3 solar on their team. So, solar panels are removed and reinstalled by the roofing company. Now, G3-solar will not help us to get this array back up and running without paying an additional $250 per hour. The Solar panels are plugged into inverters and then plugged into the power system, which each one of these systems are setup to be *********** system, which is as simple as me telling anyone to plug a few things in with an extension cord. I am having to teaching myself how setup this system because G3-Solar refuses to help unless we pay more. We now have learned that this system should have only been $30,000. PLease: G3 do the right thing and get my system online and don't charge me anymore money to do it. I have an very overpriced solar system that's not working.

The solar system of ************** was removed and reinstalled by a party unaffiliated with G3 Solar.  When this occurred the workmanship warranty was voided.  G3 Solar will need to charge for services provided to the Gates system.  G3 Solar is currently awaiting approval from ************** to schedule a technician to perform a service visit on the system.

I am rejecting this response because:

The homeowner, which is me took down the solar system to replace our damaged roof on our house. Then, me being the homeowner put back up the solar system on the roof. I own the solar system which G3-solar installed. I am one making payments every month on this system for the next ***** years. I am now simply asking for G3 Solar to please come back and help me get the system back online and not to charge me any additional cost.

I have an very extremely overpriced system. This system cost us roughly $66,000. Now G3 solar wants to charge me an additional $200 dollars an hour to come help me out with this system. What if this takes ***** hours to make the repairs? This is an additional $2,000-$4,000 dollars. How much more money does G3 Solar need?  Do they think that I am made out of money? We are hard working people here and we making ends meet. G3 is saying the extra $200 an hour they want to charge is cost for only 1 technician to come get the system back online. In what world does any technician make that much per hour? Currently the top pay for any tech. in **** is $52.  If its a highly specialized contracted tech can be as high as $104.

G3 solar please do not charge me any more money. G3 Solar please do the right thing here and hold up your end of the bargain, and come out to put my system back online. If this system does not work then I do not want to have it.

Prove it that you are not a fraudulent company and come help me. I understand if a solar panel is damaged or and inverter is damaged I will have to pay for these items.

But, what you don't seem to understand is I have 23 panels, and the 23 panels are hooked up and communicating with the controller.  But only 2 panels are producing the power. This is the way it has been since the system was turned on before it was taken off the roof. Pull the data. Do I need to copy and paste the data to the BBB form to prove my point.

    Sincerely,

    *********************

    Business Response

    Date: 08/12/2024

It seems there was confusion in regards to the pricing of the service visit.  ************** will be charged a flat rate of $250 for a service visit.  During this service visit our tech will diagnose and troubleshot the system, while performing simple fixes.  Ideally, this would result in the system becoming fully operational.  In the event that the system is unable to be made fully operational during the initial service visit G3 Solar may need to invoice ************** an additional amount equal to the parts and labor that will be required to ensure the system becomes fully operational.

I was approached by a salesman promising that solar would allow me to stop paying the electric bill and pay for the Solar. They said the number of panels would be sufficient and the extra insulation would be sufficient to do the job. The amount for the job was way over what I had thought the job would cost. My decision was made based on the payment which was just over what we paid to KU each month. I was hesitant to sign the contract but was assured that we would have the solar panels soon. As time passed, my wife and I decided to cancel the contract. I hadn't read the other complaints until now. I was asked to pay a cancellation fee for design and engineering. The contract didn't allow much time to cancel. I noticed that the financing approval was very fast. I think we were rushed into signing a contract with false claims of solar refund from IRS and a claim that we might have more than enough power even in winter. Threatened with lien put on property if not paying cancellation fee.
