January 31 this company charged me 165 $ for contract that I already had so they reimbursed me 113$ which was a balance of 52$ which is my rate when someone comes and does treatments. Then they hit my accounts for ***** $ February 1 stating thats my monthly charge. Thank you for informing us of this customer's complaint. Our ************* Manager reached out to the customer to discuss her concerns. It appears she was originally presented with two types of treatment plans, and this caused some confusion. To set things right, our Office Manager clarified the customer's plan, provided a credit on her account, and arranged a follow up treatment to address the current pest activity. We believe the customer is satisfied with these actions, but if she has any remaining questions or concerns, we encourage her to call our office, and we will be happy to help.

We continue to get bills for a house we previously owned in **. We first notified the company when we received a bill dated 10/12/22 for one month of termite service Oct 2022) for a house we sold on October 13 2021. We called the firm and spoke to a *** about the issue she indicated that she will contact her manager and the billing would be stopped. We received another bill (dated December 5) on Dec 13, 2022 now for Oct, Nov and Dec treatment on a house we don't own. We called the firm again on Dec 13/2022 and spoke to a person who gave his name as ******. During the call we explained the issue. He said he understood. and that we would not be responsible for the continued bill. The reason for the continual bills were because the traps continued to be baited. We said that should stop since baiting the traps since apparently the current home owner is not interested in continuing the service. In any event we are not responsible for any work Fox pest Control decides to do on property no longer owned by us and which we sold in October 2021. Confirmation of the content of that Dec 13, 2022 call was e-mailed to Fox Pest Control on December 14, ******* January 18 we received another a bill (dated Jan 4, 2023) now suggesting we owe 4 months of treatment. Resolution required: that the Fox Pest Control stops this harassing behavior, and confirms in writing to us that we have no liability for cost of treatment treatment to property not owned by us.Business Response

We have reviewed the customer's account and determined that their termite plan should have been cancelled in September of 2022, but it was mistakenly left active. We have now corrected this and entirely closed the account. Our office has scheduled an appointment for a technician to remove the termite baits from the previous residence. There is no balance due, and the customer should not receive any further statements from our office. We apologize for the inconvenience the customer experienced.

******************** 01/16/2023 I was informed my home was going to be taken care of. The individual arrived to my home and sat in his vehicle for 10mins. I did see him exit his vehicle but merely stood by it for about 5mins. My Aunt lives next door and happened to be arriving when he had spoke with her stating he had completed the job and is leaving. I was hoping to speak with him about a few concerns I had but when i stepped outside he had left. I contacted Fox Pest Control in my area spoke with their home office and I was informed services were rendered and spots I had mentioned to the representative were supposedly addressed. Despite of me observing the staff and waiting for the service not one thing was done. I cant imagine if Im not home and they voiced they actually came by. Completely unprofessional. How can I recommend these services when it appears as if they dont want to perform the job they signed up for.Business Response

We have been in communication with the customer, and it appears ************** mistakenly serviced the front unit on this property instead of the rear unit. Today we sent another technician to complete the treatment. He also uploaded a picture of the unit to the customer's account so there wont be any confusion in the future. In the beginning of our service it was great! The technicians that came to our home were always polite and very professional! Our service was to include spraying for mosquitoes, and the big water bugs! My 85 year old mother and myself are highly allergic to mosquitoes! We noticed my mom started having rather large sores all over. Each time the technician came to the house I strictly!! told him to please make sure you spray the back yard heavily! And told him ***** continued to have the problem! Which I dont feel as if it was his fault. As many bites and bugs we keep seeing more. Finally I had had it. When the technician came to the house several times I told him dont spray and he didnt I told him I was canceling my service he said I will tell the office! I called the office ask for the manager they took my number and never called me back! Im between that time they came and sprayed again! I called the office again! The 3rd time. I have lost count on how many emails I have sent for someone to call me! Today I received a bill! I again emailed them to call me! The funny thing about this is they asked me to change my credit card number so they could charge it! I hope this helps others to see how their customer service is first.Business Response

Thank you for informing us of this complaint. We regret the frustration the customer felt and have worked to address the issues they experienced. Our Service Manager went to the customer's home on 1/18 and discussed their experience. The visit went well, but the customer did wish to discontinue service. We have closed their account and waived the unpaid balance. We appreciate the customer's willingness to work with us to resolve their complaint, and if they ever need pest control in the future, we hope they will give us a call.

I used this service to spray for roaches on 12/8/2022. I received an email about a $49.99 offer to spray without a contract. When I called I was adamant that I will not sign a contract and only wanted a one time service. A month later I still have the same issue and a $59.00 charge for a service preformed on 1/8/2023, which did not occur. I called to get a refund and was told I have to wait for a manager to call me. I will never use this company again. It's been a waste of money and they will continue to charge your card for services not preformed.Business Response

Thank you for informing us of this complaint. It appears there was some confusion regarding the customer's service. When the customer called our office to receive a quote, our representative told her the first month would be $49.99 and then $59.99 per month after that. Our call recordings and document records reflect this. However, because the customer appears to have misunderstood this, we have refunded her $59.99 charge and closed her account as requested. No further treatments or billing will take place, and we wish her the best going forward.

Thank you for informing us of this complaint. We apologize for any misunderstanding the customer had of our cancellation policy. Customers may cancel their service at any time, but if they are still in their contract period, an early termination fee may apply. We strive to be clear about this policy on all our Service Agreements, however it appears there was some confusion with this customer. We are therefore waiving her Early Termination Fee as well as the outstanding balance on her account. She will receive no further services or billing from us. Thank you.

I am a long time customer of Fox. After having seen 3 roaches in 2.5 weeks near my dishwasher, I called for treatment. The gentleman who came was lovely, but apologetic because he was "not told about what he was supposed to be treating" and said he didn't have anything to do so. He said he didn't have traps, bait or even sticky traps because it was "at the end of the month, when supplies run low." He said his office would call to schedule a follow-up. The office didn't call. I called back and was told by the operator that my only option was a flush, which would require us to empty my entire kitchen, my entire ****** pantry , remove 2 couches, a dining table, a coffee table, a carpet, 2 side tables, a console, empty all bookshelves... thus we went from no treatment to missiles all from 3 roaches. I asked to please start with at least 1 treatment, which the operator refused to do bc her notes said there was bate out. When I told the woman to check with the actual tech who was their, she refused to do so. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, the operator refused to do let me. this is insane -- no treatment, horrible service, and refusal to let me talk to someone in charge. I called again, got a different operator and asked to speak to the district manager. She said she couldn't connect me but would relay a message. I have still not heard back.Business Response

June 2022, I (******) was approached by a sales representative of Fox Pest Control located in **********, **. The sales- person talked with me about a quarterly pest treatment. It was explained to cost about $58 per treatment. After asking several times about the cost, the sales representative assured me that the cost was $58 per treatment. I was convinced to sign an agreement. I have significant visual impairment and shouldn't have fallen for this.I've been charged monthly since, first charge was $104.94. I called in September to complain. The representative told me the charges were correct and that I should have read the small print. I asked to have the salesman call me with explanation. I also told her I'd not seen a service person at my home for treatment since the initial service. She said they visit quarterly. I'm retired & home so know when someone is around the house, dog barks!I reached out to Fox Pest Control on 12/02/2022. I spoke with a customer service representative. She explained the charges were correct and that she would email me the contract. She asked if the email they had on file was correct. It was an email which I had no idea where it came from. The name wasnt even close. I gave her my email address. I asked if I could please cancel the contract. She said I would incur a $150 early termination charge. I told her I can simply not afford the $58 per month given a fixed income. I asked if she could please look into waving the early termination fee. She said she would contact her supervisor & phone me on 12/05/2022 with the results. She did phone on 12/05/2022 and inform me that the $150 early termination fee would not be waved. She said I could go ahead and cancel and pay the fee or continue the service which the next treatment would be on 12/16/2022. I told her I would call her back. I called her back to let her know we had decided to cancel and contact the Better Business Bureau. She said, do what you have to do.Deceptive practicesBusiness Response

The customer should have received an emailed copy of his Service Agreement immediately upon signing, but if the address we had on file was incorrect, the customer did not have the opportunity to more closely review his service details and ask questions. When I signed up with this contract I was verbally told I would be signing a 1 year contract. My fault for not reading the document but when a sales person comes to your house, acts all friendly and presents an Ipad saying "Just need a signature here and fill out this information" you take their word that what they're advising is legit. Now I'm finding out my contract is a 2 year contract so they'll charge me to cancel. When I spoke to corporate the rep basically told me there's nothing I can do about it, there's no one I can talk to. Terrible customer service.Business Response

I had my house treated on 10/16/2014 for a lifetime warranty Protection Plan. Fox Pest Control inspected the house yearly (2014-2021) as per my records. Starting in 2021 and again in Nov 2022, *** has been trying to get me to pay for a monthly plan. In Nov 2022 they did not return my calls requesting my annual inspection for the warranty. This is my last step before filing a court case against them. All I want is for Fox Pest Control to inspect the home annually and honor the warranty.Account #: ******Business Response

Thank you for informing us of this complaint so that we can address the customer's concerns. A lifetime warranty on dwellings that received a termite treatment from Fox is not a service we offer. After reviewing the customer's account, it appears he received several more courtesy inspections than we typically provide. Customers usually pay a yearly fee for an annual termite inspection and warranty. However, it looks like this was never fully explained to the customer, and we take responsibility for the communication breakdown on our end. As stated, we typically do not provide lifetime termite warranties, however we are working to access the customer's original Service Agreement from 2014. We will stand by the terms of that agreement and deliver all promised services. Since 2014, we have switched software programs, so our IT department is working to retrieve the original document. We will follow up with the customer as soon as we have reviewed this agreement.

I am rejecting this response because: I had a dehumidifier installed, along with new plastic, vent seals, etc. As part of the installation, records show that I paid for a pretreatment for termite protection and that Fox Pest Control inspected free of charge, annually, since I paid a one-time fee for the treatment. Fox Pest Control recommended I pre-treat and that each year the inspection would be covered under warranty, free, as part of the pretreatment cost. I did not want to pretreat, but since I was deploying, felt it was worth the warranty. Annual records show the free annual inspection. When the new owner bought out the contract they continued to inspect as per the records, but since 2021 had tried to change the arrangement by getting me to pay monthly. Fox Pest Control agreed verbally, in 2021, that I was covered under the warranty. As a retired military officer/combat ******* I feel Fox Pest Control is being deceptive and trying to act like the inspections have not been annually preformed since 2014. Records show these inspections were completed and that I had an expensive pre-treatment, etc. I only ask Fox Pest Control to continue the inspections and honor the warranty. Please record that I rejected Fox Pest Controls response and that as a retired military officer and combat ******* I want BBB to report this company to the proper Federal and State authorities. In the coming months, I will take further action outside BBB. BBB thanks for trying to resolve it.
