      I signed a contract after telling the pest control my issues of German cockroaches. They signed me at a veteran rate at $50 with $39 a month. They came and I showed them a photo of the bug and he said what hes doing will take care of them and sprayed, but it did nothing. I called them and they sent someone else out. This provider stated my plan does not cover German cockroaches. In order to do any work I would have to pay an additional $250 and $20 more monthly. I was okay with the monthly cost, but not the additional $250. After nearly two hours on the phone with customer service, they stated even though they sold me a wrong contract I would be charged $199 for a cancellation fee if I wanted out of my contract. This is the contract they mistakenly put me in. This seems unlawful and a terrible way to treat a disabled veteran. Please help me on this as I dont have an extra $199 to just throw at them to cancel my contract. Im being strong armed into a payment plan for a treatment that doesnt work.

      I gentleman named **** knocked on my door and offered pest control services. I told him I was only interested hiring them for the next three months (summer months). He offered me a discount for the next three months. and then showed me an ipad for my signature to agree to pay $80 per month. On the last month, I called to make sure that we were done with the services and the customer service rep told me if I cancelled my account now, I would owe $170 for the rest of the contract - which was a TWELVE MONTH CONTRACT. Not only did **** not mention that it was 12 months versus the 3 months we verbally agreed upon, he hid the large red writing in the contract in order to get me to sign it. This is stealing and lying. No other way around it. I did get ****'s number and call and text him daily. His response to my first text was "I am sorry. I will call the office." I am sure you can guess this next part - he didn't call the office. When I called Hawx, they said they were going to reach out to **** (who doesn't answer his phone per his voicemail). According to ****, they will continue to try to reach **** and there will be no resolution until **** weighs in. There is no timeframe for how long we will wait for ****. It is important to note that Hawx does not hire these scammers to go door to door. They contract with these folks. So at the end of the day, they are not responsible for anything **** says or does. We need this scam to go out of the business.

      On 8/25/22 a door to door agent from Hawx Orlando came to my door I came out and talked to him and I agreed to a one time treatment which he told me he had a great price of $40 for that day. He ask for my credit card after I had swiped my credit card he told me to initial on it, there was nothing to read on the iPad or no paperwork, I ask if I was signing for the credit card and the one time service and he said yes and that he will email the receipt to me. At about 30 minutes later another agent showed up to spray and it was getting ready to rain and I ask if still works because is about to rain, and he said he was going to spray a little bit and he will put in schedule to comeback to do same treatment for no charge because it was raining that day. He never come back again and on 9/25/22 they charged my credit card again for $40 which I had no clue why they were charging me again, I call them the next day and talk to a lady and ask why and she said they charge you every month but only come every 3 or 4 months I told her I had only agreed for a one time treatment and she was really rude on the phone and was not letting me speak at all. I ask to speak to her boss and she said she was the boss. Then when I finally get off the phone with her she charged my credit card again for $209.99 supposedly for a contract that I knew nothing about. This is terrible how this people are going around taking advantage of other people, it’s a total scam. And I want my money back….

      In May 2022 **************** came knocking on my door on behalf of Hawx Pest Control of ***** *******. He asked if I was in need of pest control and I told him I wasnt interested as I already had a pest control through Aptive; which is a honest company to deal with. **************** responded to me stating he used to work for Aptive and could offer me a much better price then the $125/quarter I was paying for the *************** **************** stated Hawx could offer me a special of only $39/quarter totaling only $156 for the entire year which would include 4 applications each occurring every 3 months. I said I would like to sign up and he took out his little lab top computer and asked me to initial to begin services. I read the contract in front of him and questioned him as to why he told me I would ONLY be charged every quarter when in fact the contract stated I would be charged monthly, but the service would only be done quarterly. He stated it was a misprint and he went into the contract and changed it to payments every quarter NOT MONTHLY. After the contract was changed to read payments would be quarterly in the amount of $39/quarter and services every quarter I initialed the contract. Didnt think much about it until October of 2022 where I was looking back through my bank statements and noticed I was being charged every month, not quarter as the contract I signed. I called Hawx pest control up and was transferred to a woman and she claimed that my signed contract stated payment was monthly and services were quarterly; SOMEONE ALTER MY CONTRACT AFTER MY SIGNATURE. I asked if I could speak with ****************; she stated she would have him call me back. Then she changed her story stating **************** was a fill in; he no longer work for ****. I continued to ask her why I never received the contract via email as promised by ****************. The woman stated my contract was emailed to me only to find out the email address they sent my contract to WAS NOT my email address;

      I called this company because I heard something in my ceiling. They took care of that, but later a guy came out and sprayed, and then they did it again. No one has been out here since. They are trying to say that I signed up for a year of service, "over the phone". I never signed up for anything. They have taken 6 months of payments out of my account. They do not have any written contract with me and they have not offered to let me hear the "recording" of my "agreement". When I spoke with the girl at the office she was very rude. I think these people prey on us seniors.

      Account number ******. On 7/**/**, a salesman knocked on my door and misled me about this service and my payment schedule. He told me that since they were "in the area", I was eligible for a discount, and would only need to pay $39.99 that day. This was with the understanding that I would be billed $39.99 once every quarter, with free unlimited visits in-between. He showed me this information on a tablet, specifically a document with boxes for each month in a 12 month period, and pointed out checkmarks in only 4 of the boxes to mark the specific months he said I would be charged: July, October, January, and April. This sounded like a good deal and he repeated it was a limited offer, so I asked him to explicitly confirm it was 4 payments a year, unlimited sprays in between. He assured me REPEATEDLY that this was correct. He never said ANYTHING about month to month payments, even when I asked, AGAIN, if he was SURE it was only a quarterly charge. Again, he told me I would only be charged 4 times a year. I ONLY signed up after these repeat assurances, which my husband can confirm because I called him to get his opinion. Recently, I had to call customer service after I received emails stating I owed a balance, even though I'd paid for July. The initial phone rep advised me the salesperson had signed me up for monthly recurring payments. I told her what he told me on the day, that I'd only be charged 4 times a year, unlimited sprays, and she agreed that their reps "can be shady like that." I was transferred to an account specialist, who also agreed their salespeople don't always do "as they're trained," and that it sounded fraudulent, but told me there was nothing they could do. They won't let me cancel without paying $210. It's astonishing to me that reps for this company KNOW and openly admit their salesmen are shady, and judging by other complaints, they've taken advantage of numerous people like this.

      On 10/7/22, I contacted Hawx pest control and told ****** about a rodent problem we have in our house. He assured me that his company could get rid of the problem in a week. The next day a service tech, ***** from Hawx pest control came out and informed me that neither he nor his company could prevent rodents from entering our house nor could he or Hawx pest control help us get rid of the rodent already in our home. This is the only reason I contacted this company, to get rid of the rodent in our home. And ************* rep I talked to assured me his company could take care of this problem in a week. I contacted Hawx on 10/10/2022 and talked with an account manager named ******** and she agreed with the service tech that Hawx in fact could not help us with this problem inside our home. She said she would cancel the contract per my request and refund the fifty dollars back to my credit card in seven to ten business days. However I'm concerned this won't happen and Hawx pest control will continue to bill my credit card. I signed this contract with Hawx pest control because *************** The rep of the company was untruthful in what he said his company could do to help us. He out and out lied. And I should receive my money back in full. I also canceled the contract well in advance of the three days I was told I had to cancel.

      On 9/8/22 (*******************) Hawx rang my door. He gave me all these discounts & told how "no one else is getting the discounts I'm giving you", which was a lie. I agree & sign up for the service. ***** pulls out his **************** through all the service agreement fine print stopping briefly for me to sign/initial in the designated area. I was never given the opportunity the read thru the terms of service, cause he blew past everything, except to sign. I was not aware of or given the opportunity to read of the implications of terminating services with Hawx. I trusted that I was being taken care of. I was scheduled for my first appt 9/9 (no show) but received treatment on 9/13 & charged $42.22. They came & didnt complete the whole service which included mosq spraying. The tech (****) told my wife that we didnt pay for that service Which was false, ***** promised, we had that service. I contacted *****, he wrote the equipment ran out of product, well come back 9/15. Why lie to us about not having the service, vs being honest & stating you ran out of product? ***** promised more mosq. services for free. Now it's 9/16 & no one came by nor contacted me to say otherwise. Called ***** to cancel. Never hear back from him. 10/8 I get a hit on card for $42.22. Called the **** office & was told to call cust ser. Mon. 10/10, I called & spoke to customer service. ***** didnt cancel my serv, so I cancelled it again. Asked about my money & quickly sent over to billing. Retold my incomplete service & the empty promises from their sales person . He apologized & said nothing could be done to refund my money & would have to pay the cancellation fee. I signed up for a COMPLETE service. Asked to speak to a mgr,, told me he would call back. ended call, BOOM, my card got hit for $228.40. The Hawx agent misrepresented the services that would be provided. Based on this misrepresentation, I want a refund for any/all all charges and confirmation of cancellation of my acct/contract

      Three complaints. First called them out for a second application which was supposed to be free if we noticed mosquitos between applications. This should have been my first sign of a no good company. Well they charged me for coming out. When the young man with the sales pitch nothing was discussed about a ******************** a cancelation fee. It was for the rest of the season which was two applications. They have tried to come out twice for a third application and called them then I got all the info on canceling the young man didn't supply. $200.00 cancelation surprise.

      Communication at the time of sale of the service I asked if there was any obligation beyond the two applications this year and was told no.  Nothing was mentioned about a cancelation or that it was a year years contract.  They know what they are doing hustling *******************.  Extremely bad business practice.  Not being honest will catch up with them eventually!   I guess that's why I normally tell door to door salespeople to take a leap.  Back to my instincts I go.

      On August 4th a salesman came to our door at night asking us to switch companies. We told him we were happy with our company so he asked how much we paid, we told him $30 a month for termite and pest control, so he offered both for $40 a month. He never said it was 40 each, he kept saying it was only $10 more a month and we should try. We told him we would think about it and call the next day and he said the offer expired that day. Yet, the salesman was noticed going door to door again 2 days later. At the time, we decided to try since it was only $10 more a month and we liked their termite control better, but still were not sure about their pest control because they use granulates they apply every other month. We switched to them and got charged ***** the first month, but I thought they charged every other month like my former company and because they treat every other month, but got charged again this month, called to complain and they said we were paying ***** for each service, not both like the salesman told us repeatedly. We tried to cancel and were told the termination fee would be $1,100. We texted the salesman but no reply still...so we cancelled pest and kept termite services to cut back the cost. They said they would refund us but charged $*****, yet sent an email receipt for $*****. Also, they never came to treat until we complained nobody showed up, and they still haven't finished what they had to inside the house.Since we were deceived by the salesman into switching we want out of the contract without the $1,100 charge and get the refund promised for this month.
