7/30/22 signed for debit card and then were told it's a contract we signed and we will receive info via email, told we can cancel anytime but not told ****** fee to cancel. Very shady from the get go. We have to do 4 more [email protected] or pay cancellation fee that was not told to us ******. they are rude and not good cust. Service. I myself work in cust. Service and try help any way I can for cust. That I talk to. I explained several times we both were not told about cancelation fee and when signed for debit card, then were told it's a contract after the fact and everything would get emailed to us. It was so tiny that even with a magnify glass you would have trouble reading. We were not told the whole thing. When asked if we can cancel we were told by *******************, the sales rep that we can cancel anytime but withheld ****** can. Fee . When signing fordebit card payment, were not told it was a contract until after signing and then would get it in email . It was so tiny writing that it's super hard to read. We were both lied to. We now know it was a scam and they are not honoring our wish to cancel without a fee.Business Response

So hawx pest control came to my house two sales men sold me the product of the outdoor and indoor package for $89 and was told this was a one time application process because Id never heard of this company before and was willing to give them a try. They told me if I liked the product we could discuss having them come back at a later date. So I went ahead and had them do my yard, little did I know when the sales men handed me the iPad to sign and never showed me the documents I was signing that on one of the documents I agreed to a 12 month term with them. They are now continuing to charge me and are not willing to cancel my payment without paying $400. Had this company not been dishonest I would stick with them. They now continue to charge me every month and have not shown up again to apply any More product. Every time I call them to get this resolved they tell me something new and now have hung up on me. There are tons of other reviews that state the same thing that happened to me on there page. This company is scamming people by telling you one thing and then not showing you the documents you sign until they email them over to you and then at that point it is to late. This is clearly happening to tons of other people and this is not how a company should run there buisness it is truly dishonest and wrong.Business Response

On 8/24 had a kid on scooter come house and wanted to sell me pest control said it best guarantee work. I had them service yard call him week later told him service was not working he said he would have someone come almost a month later someone came out 9/17 for warranty service. I waited for about a 10 ten called because they never provide the monthly service for September. The guy on phone told me it doesnt matter when they come your in a contract and we are going to charge you. I told him to cancel they are now trying to charge a cancel fee. I told the guy treatment not working he say didnt care we still getting are money. I think someone should look in this company.Business Response

When I was sold the service with Hawx Pest Control, the salesperson said it'd be possible to get out of the contract without a fee. I tried cancelling today (9/27/2022). I'd need to pay a fairly large fee to cancel. I feel like I was mislead.Business Response

A salesman showed up at door promising to get rid of gnats and mosquitoes that plague our yard. He talked us into signing up for services saying they would come once a month in the spring and summer. Took them 2 weeks for first application which did little to alleviate the problem. When they didn't come back for 2 months we called office and we're told we get services quarterly. The product doesn't work so we canceled and they charged us $205 cancelation fee no credit for what was already paid. ****** shows up doing door to door sales promising the best pest control available. Then when time comes to service, the technician made my wife feel extremely uncomfortable. Then is onsite for 10 minutes. Supposed to treat inside house and yard but not sure if yard was even done. Make the call to cancel immediately and am told no cancelation fee will be charged. Then am talked into giving them a chance to redeem themselves. I agreed as long as cancelation fee is waved if not happy with service. Company never follows up then a month later shows up unannounced. Make the call again to find out why I even have an account as they never completed first service. At which point a very rude representative, ***************************, decided to cancel my account and charge $350 cancelation fee after assuring me nothing will be happening to my account until I speak to a manager. 5 days later, a manager finally calls and refuses to redeem them selves in any way unless I choose to continue service and I still will only be refunded $150 of the $350 unauthorized charge. This company is a complete fraud and taking advantage of people. All I want is my money back that should have never been taken and for the company to never contact me or come to my property again.Business Response

One of their salesmen came to my door offering a one time service of $79.00 to spray my grass and around my house. I told him ok. He then said I could sign up to have them come monthly if I wanted. I told him NO! So he said ok. He had me initial on his iPad to spray for that day. I gave him a check. They sprayed and everything was fine. The next month the guys shows up at my house to spray and I told him I didnt want it. He told me I needed repeat spray after the last one to make it work best. I asked how much. He told me $79.99 so I said ok but dont come back again. He sprayed. The next day Im notified by my bank they automatically withdrew the funds from my bank account. I NEVER gave them permission to automatically withdrawal anything from my account!! They took my routing and account number off my check. In August the man shows up at my door to spray. I told him NO I DONT WANT IT!! He didnt do anything!! They tried to automatically take the money from my bank account. I called the bank and told them what was happening and they but a block on my account so this company couldnt withdrawal any of my money anymore. I am an old lady, a widow and on a fixed income. I cant afford this service! When I called Hawx they told me the $79.00 was a discounted services and I signed up for the monthly plan. I told them NO I did not. She said she has a sign paper stating that. I said send it to me. She sent me a email paper with my initials on it that I put on the guys iPad that first day to spray. He never gave me any kind of a contract to sign. Their salesman lied and tried to trick me into a contract I NEVER wanted. Now they say in order for me to cancel the contract I have to pay over $400.00 because that was a special deal the $79.99. And they still want me to pay the $79.00 for the August services they never did because I wouldnt let the man do it! PLEASE help me I dont know what to do. June of this year, salesman walking in area was selling services for pest control. Not explained during presentation was this is a year round service, provided regardless if services are provided and or there is no need for services. Charges are related to a yearly contract ( which was stated there was none @ point of sale ) was quoted at POS " quite anytime", but upon trying to cancel service, you are advised of a cancellation fee upon doing so. *************************They kind of side stepped the issue. What the salesman stated and witnessed, was NOT what I am being vharged. They are trying to vharge me a cancellation fee 459.** and spraying fees. This did take place 2x, yet 2nd and 3rdattempt was supposedly a "gaurantee" spray yet I am being charged yet again without serrvices, so when I asked, am I being charged even though you did not provide those services yet, they replied yes, thats when they said no problem, we will cancel you an early termination fee of 459.**. They did NOT explain this in there reply!

I am rejecting this response because: I authorized nothing of the sort. I was never advised of a cancellation fee by door to door salesmen ( have witness, plus ring camera footage ) I am statin the 2 charges I am paying for one service I did reveive, and second was a warranty gauntee service call. The cancellation fee was told to me when I called to cancel saying salesman never mentioned any of this and stated cancel anytime, NOT cancel and you will be charged a ****** cancellation fee. This is a false buisness practice, bait and switch. I do not mind paying for service received, but paying a cancellation and no services? common, this was nothing more then shabby *********, lowsey support, phone or sprayer and then to get a rude person explaining " well if you cncel, we are going to charge you full price, so cancel aweay" End quote. This buisness is predatory, I wonder how many of my neihbores where duped?

Nope, I am giving a company that is being dishonest ( or salesmen being dishonest ) a chance to make things right. If you want to push this then take me to court and you bring your evidence and I will bring mine. The video is clear and every word can be heard salesman saying " nope, you only pay for the services when we come out and spray" not you pay this much an entire contract. Says nothing about a contract and says " sign here so we can start services please"

This is seems like an extortion field day. It is amazing how many people I have worned about this company on social media, ring neihborhood and everyone states same sales tactics.

Yet it seems they are only in business to scam people and use crooked salespersons to sell their false products. After 3x attempts to get a resolution, I get the same response almost verbatium in wordage, so it seems this company is happy scamming consumers. I will be posting This complaint on multiple social media accounts and be advising consumers of this companies bad practises. I am retired and have plenty of time to attach the ring video showing salesperson lying to our face only to have a company shove " agreement 30x within one sentence on complaint. Have fun Hawx services, may theses reviews drive customers away in droves!!

After speaking with the rep late last summer, I was lead to believe that I was making a one time payment for a seasonal service for last summer. But then my card was charged for service for this summer which I didnt authorize or agree to. The rep stated that it would be a one time charge. But obviously my card info was saved, and then used again without my authorization. And now I continually receive calls and texts saying that I owe for services that I am not getting, dont want and didnt agree to. And was told over the phone that it would be a $250 cancellation fee, which is over 4 times as much as the original service fee itself. I am not happy about this.Business Response

In July of 2022 I received a knock on my door from what I later found out was a representative of hawk pest control. He said they could service my home once every three months and the charge would be $49.99 the work was carried out that month, however I noticed the following month that money had again been withdrawn from my account for another $49.99 I can assure you this was not the information I was given. I have emailed the company and told them to cancel the contract and that having spoken to my bank had changed the card number and finally I wouldn't be needing their services. September 2022 I receive another email stating my account is behind and I will be getting a 15% fee if not situated. I then sent another email reminding them of my previous email.
