on 6/23/2022 *********************** rang my doorbell. She went on and on about how many of my neighbors were customers. I asked her to come back as I was in an online class. I agreed to ONE-(1) treatment that day and reiterated NUMEROUS times that under NO circumstances would I nor did I agree to ANY FURTHER CHARGES/ Services! She seemed sweet enough and said No problem. When the guy came within an hour-which was strange-I told him about the wasps-he claimed the treatment would kill them on contact. t** did not) I NEVER signed an agreement for 12 months! I was ASSURED OF THIS by ****** several times. I have written to the MAGeneral and all Hawx cam back with was a fraudulent signature on a 1 year contract THAT I DID NOT SIGN! I simply gave my CC to ****** for a ONE TIME CHARGE! Why on earth would I agree to a ******************** the terms of cancellation if it was a 1 -ONE TIME CHARGE?!! The wasps are still here and I have NEVER seen them on my property since 6/23/2022- I also notified my ban to decline ALL attempted transactions to my account and yet they are STILL HARRESSING ME WITH EMAILED BILLS I NEVER-EVER AGREED TO! This SCAM company needs to be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATLEY!!! There are stories after stories of their scams ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA and too many BBB reports to mention! THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!! Oh- Never have I known a legit company to have numerous different phone numbers!!!!!! I asked about this and no response! Hawx agent misrepresented the services that would be provided, indicating they are non-toxic and safe for humans and pets. Based on this misrepresentation, we signed up for limited services. The first agent to come spray informed us that the spray is toxic and should not be used on edible plants. Because our yard is predominantly edible plants, we did not feel safe continuing the services and called to cancel. The rep on the phone confirmed that our contract would be cancelled without penalty. Now, I am receiving messages from Hawx about ongoing services and believe they have sprayed at least once without my authorization. I want a refund for any/all charges and confirmation of cancellation of my account/contract with this company.Business Response

On August 1 ******************************************************************************* the area spraying and if I would like my yard sprayed. i told him no at first and he said I can spray your yard for $49.00 today. I say ok he when ahead and say what is your name and email so I can send you a receipt. I also gave him a charge to charge. The guy came at about **** pm and spray the outside of my house. Today September I saw a charge for $119.99 on my account and its from Hawx Pest control. I call and was told that I signed up a 12-month contract for pest control service which is a lie. I ask for a copy of the contract and she said it was provided to me via email and I signed it on August 2nd which is a Lie. That *** be their sales Taticks but its deceitful and furthermore I did not sign a contract with this company. I need a refund and cancellation of this so call contract.Business Response

The sales tactics from this company are slimy. They hide info when you sign up and trick you into thinking you're getting a deal. There is no time given for you to review the agreement fully before you need to sign and there is no mention of the $250 cancellation fee in the sales pitch. To add to this the service they offer does not work. Like many others, I feel completely ripped off. This company follows deceitful and misleading sales tactics locking you into long-term contracts where you have no rights. I am requesting a full refund of the $459 I was charged for canceling.Business Response

This is the MOST HORRILE service I have EVER encountered! First, they sent a door-to-door salesman to my house and he insured me that he could get rid of our ant problem outside (we weren't having any inside at that point). We scheduled them to spray inside and outside - the guy came and sprayed outside and left without ever coming inside or knocking. We called and he came back later and "spritzed" a couple of corners in a couple of rooms (not the entire house). We still have HORRIBLE ants outside and have been covered in ant bites on more than one occasion. We asked them to return and repeat the service, as well as the inside because we began having issues inside (of which I sent photos to our representative). After multiple attempts where they kept "trying to transfer my call" to the scheduling team, I got hung up on several times. I got a random text message on a Sunday that said they were coming out on Tuesday (keep in mind that we work full time, so are having to take off work when services are scheduled). AGAIN, they showed up to do the outside without notifying us they were there (the only way we knew they had been there and left was that we saw the security camera footage later). I began getting incessant phone calls trying to sell me ADDITIONAL service, when I already was not getting the service I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR, but HAD NOT RECEIVED!!!! I called, once again to schedule another service - for which we again had to take off work - and no one showed up!!! I called AGAIN today and was told that, despite having paid a considerable amount of money for services I have NEVER received, I would have to pay over $200 to cancel the service - ASIDE FROM the fact that we have taken off work on multiple occasions and services were not performed! When I requested to speak to a manager, I was told that I would have to take MORE time off work to meet him at my home on a TUESDAY because he "can't" speak to me on the phone nor come on a weekend!Business Response

I have deleted my credit card information from the portal, as I received another charge. Twice now, I have had technicians not show up on days they were scheduled to come. No phone call, no apology from the company, no reaching out to reschedule. They literally just don't show up. This isn't just bad practice, this is a scam. They are taking my monthly payment and not doing the job. This company is robbing me.Business Response

Like all of the others complains ************ Hawx is being scaming people. A hawx sales man ***** )was at my door and also same story about their service being only 3 times a year and only to pay when service will be done. I did ask twice if this was a month to month fee he said no. Only 3 times a year. Only 3 payments will be needed. Also I ask him if there's a cancelation fee he said again no that I cancel anytime with no fee for cancelation. Now I have a person calling that I own the monthly fee. He said to fill out the information on his tablet to set the 1st appointment but that was not a contract yet and that the company will send an other one to confirm. ************ hawx is using a scam to get people to sign in to a 12 moth contract. With no way out but paying them for nothing. However I did receive the service 1 time and did pay the 48 dollar fee. and won't mind paying for every time I get the service they promised me. But paying monthly for no service and lied in to this type of contract is fraud that need to be addressed.Business Response

I signed for the service in June and the representative who came to my door didn't tell me I was signing a 12 month contract, he just said it was a monthly service that I could cancel at any time for free. I went to cancel it today on September 1st and was told there would be a $190 cancelation fee, which is not what the door to door salesman had told me. They have been lying to consumers and the door to door salesman don't tell you the truth and are stealing money from people that get misinformed by them.Business Response

On May 31, a door to door salesman came and explained that Hawx was servicing several of our neighbors and wondered if we'd like pest control treatments. He said it was $49.95 per month and that I could cancel anytime. I could also get monthy or quarterly mosquito treatments for an additional $30 per treatment. I opted for quarterly. At that time, he took my name, phone and email. I received a text asking for my form of payment in which I supplied by credit card number. The "contracts" were emailed to me but shame on me for not reviewing. Turns out, they locking me into a YEAR long service which I was never told about. I was also not aware that I'd be charged for the mosquito treatments on a monthly basis not matter what! Also, we wouldn't even need services during the winter months. Turns out, someone put a line through where my signature on the contract should have been as well as typed initials. I DID NOT sign or initial anything! I called to cancel my services because I was being charged more than I approved AND because the treatments were NOT working. We still have ants, spiders (more now) and mosquitos! They said it was safe for pets yet my dog has been itching and chewing his paws ever since. This is a scam. I was mislead. **************** put me on hold for 15 mins. before I was told I'd have to pay $400 to get out of my so called "contract" that I apparently signed with a line (_____). I feel that that is illegal and I am not happy. I no longer want to pay for services that don't work and that I didn't agree to.Business Response

Hawx Pest Control has been charging my card for service that was never provided to us, We tried to cancel but the fee was over $200+. They've been charging $80 a month to my card and showed up to my house last week to spray without my or my roommates consent, after we've already contacted them about canceling.
