My Complaint is about Hawx Pest Control - A sales rep was walking in the neighborhood door to door. Explaining to me what they do and their process and options you can choose from. I registered to pay and sign up for the services they provided at a discounted rate. -They came out did the service but did not spray for Mosquito's as the Tech was only at my house for about 5 minutes. I didn't notice any difference. I was told by the sales rep I could call him or text anytime If i did not see a difference and was not happy and I could also cancel anytime. I texted/called and never heard anything back from him. -I tried calling hawx to only be on hold for ******************************************************************************************************************** about all these hidden fees. I Then I asked to speak with a supervisor and he said no. I called again and I was passed around several times still not given the option to cancel this account. They bill in advance for services they do not provide. The owner needs to go out and see what work the techs are not doing. I want this company and my account investigated as they are just taking money from me and not providing adaquate service on my account number ******.Business Response

You received both initial treatments on 6/6/22. Your service reports reflect the products used and time the service professional treated. Your monthly outdoor services were then performed on 7/20 and 8/17 with a warranty service performed as well. We will close one subscription at no additional cost with the other being fulfilled. Quarterly billing is available for quarterly service if you prefer to be removed from monthly billing. Warranty services are available to you at anytime in between your regularly scheduled visits if needed. At this time the account is active. Please let us know how you would like to proceed.

On May 30, 2022 a door to door sales man came to my home for a pest control service. I was not told of the ********************************** the cancelation fee of $449. I was told it was a month to month contract and that they offer 100% satisfaction guarantee. I was told I would be getting a $200 discount by signing up today. I was told I would have someone come out monthly and someone would be out every time I needed as many times as I needed. After my first service with them I was told about the contract when talking with the pest control guy. I was told at that point that I had to pay a $200 etf. I decided to give them a chance but when the end of June came around and no one had showed up for the monthly treatment I called them. I was told something along the line that they had a week to come out and that they had made an appointment that they never told me about. At the end of July I was charged again and no one had come out. I called to cancel and was told it would be a $449 etf charge. They stated I signed 2 contracts that I did not know about. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told I would not be able to because they do not take calls but one could call me back when they had time. I asked why I did not get a service for the end of July and they told me one was on the books for today 8/8 but was also canceled for today as well. I was told they could check to get someone else out but would not know when. I asked to get a refund for the service I did not get and they transferred me. I spoke with another rep and was told I could get a refund for the service I did not get in June. I was also told I would be cancelled for $444. I was sent an email with a $449 cancelation fee. I asked to speak with a supervisor again and was hung up on. The service has not worked, it is a hassle to try and get any one on the phone, I have been hung up on multiple times and I was under a contract I did not know about.Business Response

You received your warranty service and outdoor package service in July. Your $49 charge for your June outdoor package service has been reversed back to the card on file. Please allow 5-7 business days to receive this. We would like to come to a resolution with you and have removed a portion of your initial discount. $150 was collected at the time of cancellation. A $50 balance remains. At this time the account is closed.

On 7/25/2022 a Door to door sales person approached me as i was leaving for work, he quickly told me i could do a month to month payment and could cancel at anytime. When I called today to cancel i was told i could not cancel policy without penalty of $210.00. It was not disclosed to me that i was signing or agreeing to a 12 month contract, sine the verb-age " month to month and cancel at anytime" implies i can cancel at will. It has been less than 30 days and i am not satisfied with the service and wish to cancel. any help is appreciated.Business Response

I bought the service around February *****. I asked if it covers fleas and bed bugs, and he agent said yes. Sometimes I have that people come with their dogs. The first day they showed me demo on few feet of my front yard to limit insects coming. I have seen some bugs I asked Hawks pest control to stop service. They told me that I have to pay a $200 termination fee. I told them I did not see that he did not info me of that. Immediately after I talked to the receptionist, he debited $200 today. I want the company to return it to me. I did not see this deception and illegality since I had lived in the same city for the last 40 years. I have never seen such a Deception plus, the company withdrew $***** from my account 3 times. Tell us if we are living in thievery in the wild west. This destroys my faith in business. The company should return $ ***** times four for $360. The public has to be protected. They already debited $200. Your monthly payments cover your quarterly service cost. Your May, June, and July payments were for service performed on 7/29/22. Your April payment was for your initial treatment. All services are covered under warranty with active service. We are available to re-service your home at anytime in between your regularly scheduled visits. We ask that you contact us to schedule a warranty service when needed. The initial discount was applied at the time of cancellation per your agreement. *****************************This is injustice. First the person who was canvassing did say that any insect is covered in the house and yard. I asked what about bed bugs,
I have experience (we call it exposure in public health). He stated that it is covered too. He did a demo of 2.5-3 minutes in my house. On the
29th two people came and sprayed a chemical. I wanted to know the type of the chemical, they did not tell me, you understand what type of
job will be done in those 2-3 minutes minutes. My son developed a rash, possibly allergy. I have seen good businesses and bad ones.
This is an example of a sorry business. At least the company must cancel the early termination fee. Whether you accept it not I am 100% right.
I ask to return the early termination fee. The company has made a profit of my case,

In may of 2022 a sales representative from hawx pest control came to my door with a warranty pest control offer. I told her that I only had a bedbug problem. She mentioned to me that, this program is used to kill all bugs including bedbugs but you will need more than one treatment. She said when the technician comes to your house just show him the target areas where the bedbugs are and he will attend to them. After he sprayed, 2 days later they had gotten worse and spreader throughout my home. I call hawx and told them about the problem and they sent another technician out. When the technician got there he told me that bedbugs are not included in the warranty program its a add in which usually cost between 900-1400 dollars. I immediately called the office and explained how I was deceived and I wanted to cancel my service. The customer service representative said if I cancel I will be charged ******. I told her that the sales representative lied about 3 things. First it was the payment amount. She told me it would be ***** for the first treatment and ***** for the remaining treatments. They drafted ***** first and ***** the second time. She also said the treatment would kill bedbugs and that was a total lie. Thirdly she never mentioned a 12 month contract AT ALL. They are now billing me for services that I am no longer receiving with a 1.5 % interest rate on the balance. This is outrageous.Business Response

On or about June 2, 2022, a sales agent from this company got me to sign a contract for services every month for one year. I received the first service the following day and paid for that service.According to the contract, I was able to sign a notice to cancel the contract that was already provided by this company in the contract, and as long as I dispatched the notice with my signature by June 6, 2022, the contract would be cancelled. I did exactly that and had my letter tracked to ensure delivery and receipt. I never received any communication from this company despite receipt of my letter. Instead, I was billed for the month of July although I never received service for July. I mentioned this issue to the company via email, and when they responded, they said that another team member handled my concern. Nothing more. Nevertheless, I was forced to dispute that charge. For August 2022, I was billed again for without any service rendered, and I am forced to dispute the charge again. This issue remains unresolved, but this company's remiss toward customers should be noted. No one should have to be billed after effectively cancelling a contract and not receiving services.Business Response

We haven't used this ************ sense 2018. We did our contract for the one year after the one year we decided to cancel our ongoing with this company. Then August 4, 2022 they have taken $54.99 out of our account without our permission. I called them, pretty much told me they couldn't do anything about it because I didn't close my account. So if this is true it's been 4yrs now and never took anything out from my account How many more people are they doing this too. I just got lucky and seen it on my account or they would have gotten away with it.Business Response

On June 11th we had just pulled into our garage and by the time we made it inside a sales rep with Hawk Services was at our door. I answered and he asked if we were selling our truck which was the most awkward and uncomfortable start to a sales pitch ever. When he saw that I wasnt amused he introduced himself and offered us their services. My wife had already told him we already have a pest company that does services for us but he went on to explain that their services were different and offered us a one time treatment at a one time charge of $40 just to try it. We agree to do the one time treatment but never ONCE did that young man mention an on going agreement for 12 months. The next month I receive a text from Hawx regarding a outdoor package service that someone was coming to perform. I immediately texted them back and advised that we were not aware that we ever signed up for any on going services and no one responded. Weve called their offices and havent been able to get any assistance canceling. We were charged $119 for this outdoor package in July and there was no sign that services were provided. This morning (8/6) We get another text regarding an upcoming appointment. I signed up for services with Hawx Pest control in June 2022 after they came to my door selling their services. They came out to my house the following day (06/15/22), but were not able to complete the services due to severe weather. I was told they would come back in a few days to complete the service. In the meantime, I sent in a written cancellation of services (as required per contract). They received my cancellation and closed my contract appropriately. On 07/25/22 I received an email that my upcoming appointment was cancelled. I did not have an upcoming appointment as my account was closed. I called on 07/25/22 to inquire and they could not figure out why I received that email as my account was closed. Since I had them on the phone, I asked if someone was still coming out to complete the 1 service I had paid for as it wasnt completed due to weather. They said they could send someone out. I verified that my account was closed and that I wouldnt be charged. They told me there was no charge. On 08/05/22, they came out to finish the service and to call if I needed something before my next appt. I told them I no longer had a contract and they instructed me to call the office. I called on 08/05/22 and was told my account was re-opened and if I wanted to close it, I would be billed a $210.99 cancellation fee. I told them my account had previously been cancelled and that I was told them finishing the work I paid would come at no cost to me. I never agreed nor consented to another contract. I was not asking for additional services, nor had a complaint about the services they provided. I simply wanted them to complete what I had paid for. They told me there was nothing they could do and I received a **** for $210.99 for cancellation. They refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor and also refused to give me any contact information where I could file a complaint or dispute.Business Response

Had a salesman come to my door on 7/4 soliciting pest control for your company. After 45 min of advising the salesman I cannot afford a monthly contract I agreed to the one time FREE service for the minor lawn fog. I was sent my signed "contract" while being told I can cancel at anytime. I called Monday the 1st to advise I needed to cancel. I was told I was locked into a 12 month contract and I would have to pay a $250 cancellation fee for the service I received...Um what?? So to paraphrase my issues: I was never shown or discussed a cancellation fee; I received a signed copy of my "contract", of which I was never shown the whole thing prior to signing (the rep had it on an ipad and was only showing me the "balance due today" and the table of which the services would be performed); when I called Monday I was told nothing can be done, so I called back on August 4th, told same thing - told a "higher up" could negotiate the cancel fee with me, was put on hold for 30min, spoke to another person who said no, the cancel fee is non negotiable - i could have cancelled 3 days after signing; I did not receive my service until the 9th so how would I cancel in three days if I had never received the service yet????. So in summary, your company has people blind sign contracts, hides the cancellation fees to get business, and doesn't allow for any type of customer service from their reps to try and assist!!! This is extremely bad business practice and I want my "contract" cancelled, with no fees, like I was told by your salesman.....Business Response
