      I got an unsolicited sales pitch for a pest control service from a sales rep today and signed up (7/25). Upon reading reviews online, I saw that may customers have issues with canceling the service. I mailed my cancellation note the same day, and also notified the company via email that I had mailed the cancellation note and to discontinue the contract. I have not received a confirmation from the company that they had done so. I am planning on disputing charges with my bank.

      They came door to door promoting there business and said it works would only be $80.00 monthly after 2 weeks of my first service I have seen 20 bugs inside and outside my house. I called to cancel and was told the cancellation fee is $448.00 I asked for cancellation fee to be waived or to pay 50 percent of the cancellation fee and they told me no only after first service. They refused to let me speak with a supervisor I just want my money back from the cancellation fee I had to pay $448.00 to cancel my services for the horrible service and scam salesman going door to door making false promises.

      A Hawx salesman came to my home the night of June 14, 2022. He said his company was offering a special deal to spray my property for bugs at a cost of $40 PER visit. He said that this offer would have them come spray FIVE times (each time costing me $40). I was billed $40 for the first visit then was billed again the following month but no service was provided. My wife called Hawx and was firstly informed by a woman that I will be billed $40 MONTHLY but service will be provided quarterly. She shared that she receives many inquiries about this problem. My wife asked to speak to someone who could assist in canceling my service. She then spoke to ***** who stated that I will be billed $40 monthly with quarterly service. She told him that the salesman sold this service as pay for spray NOT a monthly billing cycle. He stated I could cancel my contract for $210.00. He also stated that the company is NOT responsible for what the door to door sales people say (seriously, what the heck). He also said he could not provide her with his managers name (again, what the heck). I feel totally scammed by this company. I simply want to end any relationship with them without the need to pay them for their dishonesty.

      I signed up for pest control services. I agreed to one year last June 2021. Now we are a year later and I cannot get anyone to answer me to cancel. The customer service team just hangs up after putting me on hold. The third call I made did not connect. Hawx is predatory and will do whatever they can to steal your money. No transparency and no way to cancel. The last service did not even work! We have ants inside and bee nests. Just cancel our agreement and stop contacting me.

      On Jun 23, 2022, a representative of Hawks Pest Control knocked on doors in my neighborhood trying to retain new customers. The Rep said that the charges for their pest control services were only put thru by the service person, on the day of the service, upon completion of the job and after, being approved by the customer. I specifically asked the Rep, if he was sure that "there would be no automatic withdrawals from my account". He said "no, each payment would be approved by me on the date of service when the job was completed. On 6/24 2022, the first and only day I had Hawk Pest Control service, everything went just as the Rep said and when that days job was completed I okayed with the service person, the deduction from my account.
      Today, a month later, Jul 23, 2022, I check my email and Hawks is emailing me a receipt showing a $91.00 deduction from my account saying I authorized an automatic deduction for future pest services. I called them on the phone immediately and asked them to take that charge off and to cancel any automatic deduction that they thought I authorized. The person refused to remove the charge. I said that I wanted to cancel their service completely and the person threatened that if I cancelled he was going to charge my card $410.00 for breaking the contract. He also informed me that the customer had 3 days from the initial contact with the Hawks Pest Control representative to cancel the contract. I told the person on the phone I knew nothing about any of that and was not informed of it by the initial representative.
      I again said that I wanted to cancel the service immediately and I informed them that I would be disputing these charges with my bank for services not received and false representation of their product.
      I have filed a dispute claim with my bank and the matter is under investigation for the total of $501. Misleading the potential client by promoting false and incomplete information will not stand for long.

      I am rejecting this response because:  I feel further explanation is necessary from the HAWX TEAM.  They have stated that the

      "recurring charge from 7/23 has been reversed back to the card on file."  What I need to know specifically is if the $91.oo and 

      the $410.00 taken form my account on 7/23/2022 will be reversed in the next 5-7 business days?  Also, as i requested the 

      account is closed; so what does it mean when they say, "closed and the initial discount will remain?"  Complete information from 

      beginning to end from the HAWX TEAM will reduce the amount of misunderstandings occuring with any future customers.

      Representative came to our house to sell pest control services. Representative supposed to be out today. No call. No show. Our time is valuable, we even made arrangements for our dog. We do not want to do business or affiliate with this time of business.Refund & cancel our agreement. It's been less than 24 hours and you've already breeched.

      I do not normally write negatively about any company, but I recently had very negative business with Hawx Pest control. A sales person came to my house about 2 moths ago did well at convincing me for their service. One thing offered was to call my current pest control company and cancel for me. A month later, my old company provided their service and billed me. I called Hawx to explain what had occurred and they were going to het back with me within 2 days. After more than a week I was then frustrated and called again deciding that I will cancel my contract. I was told again someone will call back in 2 days. Once more after a week I get a message from corporate for me to call them to cancel and still pay $210 fee. If this is not enough, they end up billing me twice. So now I again have to call them to rectify this. The amount of money and time that I've lost is frustrating. The company is not providing good service and not attending to their customers. They were dishonest with what they were going to do and I ended up having to pay for the other company. In addition, they never addressed my concerns. I only payed them the $210 because they said it was tge only was to cancel the service. But I should not have to pay for that fee. I want a refund of $210.

      On May 17, a young, energetic representative from Hawx came to our home and delivered a pitch. He asked who I was currently getting pest control services from and I told him Terminex. He asked how much I was paying, and I told him. He then began to sell me on how Hawx would be almost half the cost, with better and safer chemicals. He said I would be paying $79 quarterly (vs. the $120 I was already paying), and that I would be getting an additional mosquito service for free. He seemed geniune so I made the switch. He had me sign an agreement assuring me it was a formality and went on his way. This was all caught on my doorbell camera and I reviewed before writing this to make sure I had it correct.A gentleman showed up the next day and provided the first "service" which consisted of walking quickly through my backyard and spraying my hedge. The following month, another gentleman came by and spent a fraction of the time doing the same. Then again another month later, another gentleman did the same 2 minute spray. Now, getting concerned about the service I'm getting, I check my bank account and low and behold, I've been getting charged $129 monthly since May. I called today to cancel the service and I'm told I've apparently signed 2 separate service contracts and it would cost $500+ to get out of them. I tried to calmly explain to the 2 separate agents I spoke to how I was mislead and have not been receiving the services and/or value I was initially sold. I told them I didn't even care about a refund, I just wanted out. The most they said they could do for me was let me out for just $300, so I took that in desparation. Now having seen the alarmlingly high number of BBB complaints here, it's clear this is a major revenue stream for them. It's a deceitful and predatory business model. I really hope someone at the BBB is looking at into it. I'll be publishing the video and sharing the documents on a few neighborhood apps to warm my community in the meantime.

      They came to our house, knocking on the door. We got services from them. They charged us $49 to our account. they didn&#**;t provide a contract or anything. My daughter called the company to try to get her out of the contract that she didn&#**;t know that she signed. They came back to the door, and my parents didn&#**;t answer and they charged them another $100.00. I don&#**;t know if they sprayed outside and they definitely didn&#**;t spray inside. They also didn&#**;t have any badges on. We have never received anything in the mail as they promised they would. If we cancel they said they would charge them $500.00. We want to cancel because we are elderly and we didn&#**;t know what we were signing.

      Hawx is not an honest company. I was approached and June 8th and spoke to the sales lady about their services. She told me that there was a discount on the first service & after the first service they would come back quarterly and that I would not be charged until after services were completed. Knowing this information I was interested so she continued explaining the services, never showing me the contract or telling me that one was involved. I ended up deciding to get the general ****************** service. I should have known that I was being trapped when I was asked to give my card and information to her, but she told me that I would be charged after the ************************ trusted her. At the end of this presentation she asked me to sign for permission to complete the services & signed me up for a first appointment. I signed up for June 11 & did get the service completed and it went as stated. The service was completed and then my card was charged after they left. Fast forward to this month I receive a charge from Hawx to my card which was locked. I was surprised because I haven't been serviced, after googling around myself i find out that attached to an email they sent there is a contract at the bottom. I went to the email that I was led to believe was just a confirmation and information about the services and found the contract. The contract states monthly payments, not quarterly and it is now a month later I can not cancel without paying some absurd amount of $200+. Reading all of the recent reviews and complaints I can see that Hawx is proud to mislead their customers & continue taking their money. They rely on people being **** and not knowing what they are signing up for fully. Now these contracts will be used against me and I will not be alowed to cancel without paying an absurd amount. Hawx deceived me, has lost my trust & I wish to have my account cancelled and not to business with them again. They will not be getting any more of my money.
