Blue Raven Solar closed on the loan for a solar installation (that was completed in October 2022) in December 2022, and its still not finished. Their employee was a no-show for the first inspection with the utility in April 2023, six months after completion. The installation was erroneously installed with no of the circuitry connected. That was discovered just before the second scheduled inspection in May. (Xcel Energy only has 3 inspection appointments available per week to process new solar installations for all of *********!)I am paying a $29,000 loan for an incomplete solar system and losing the savings of solar electricity generation every day. A few months of payments were refunded by Blue Raven, but Im losing a lot of money again. They will try to blame Xcel due to lack of available inspections, however, theres been plenty of mistakes to go around.

We are sorry to hear about project delays with getting PTO. Our net metering team has reimbursed the customer up to their most recent May payment, and we will continue to make reimbursements until PTO is received. As far as the wiring with the junction box, a technician was able to fix this during a visit, and this feedback was passed on to the crew's management to be addressed directly with them. Right now, another witness test is on the calendar for June 13th, where we expect to receive PTO if all goes well.
      Thank you.

Don't use this company! They are super nice and helpful to get this expensive system installed but getting any help after the fact is impossible. They really only care about the bottom line and lack any human compassion. My issue is I won't pre pay for a technician to come to my house to reset the monitoring system that is out of date less than 5 years of instal. I'm happy to pay AFTER they get it fixed. Evidently this goes against policy and no exceptions can be made. Previously, I had sent emails (3) requesting service. It was "Resolved" and "closed" without any contact. When I spoke with a rep, after 3 weeks waiting on an email response, he couldn't schedule a technician until I prepaid $150. I am sorry, but from the lack of communication recently, I will only pay for services rendered and finishes.

With the system being outside of its 2-year service warranty, it is standard for our work orders team to take a service payment prior to scheduling per the customer's contract. After discussing the situation with management, we were able to get approval to waive the service fee in its entirety for this work order, and have coordinated with the customer to have a visit scheduled at no cost.
      Thank you.

** November 2022 I had solar installed on my house. I was told it would provide 95% of my electricity. They sent out an electrician that did not know what he was doing, he drilled multiple holes in my steel siding and screwed in screws in also then pulled them out leaving sharp edges and holes in siding. My solar is still not up and running. Its now approaching 8 months. I sent numerous emails and logged several support calls. They tell it will be fixed next week, this has been going for months. They wont fix the siding stating too expensive. Im a 76 year old woman on fixed income. Im paying for solar I dont have on top of my electric bills. They also told me I would get a large rebate from the government. I logged a support call and said how do I get the rebate you told me about? They told me I have to hire professional tax person. I dont know how to get this resolved, hope you can help me.

We are sorry to hear about the siding damage and project delays. Our work order orders team did receive a $2,000.00 quote for the siding damage and is currently soliciting other quotes for comparison. Regarding the financing payments, our net metering team has been experiencing delays from Xcel ** due to capacity delays with their witness tests. We apologize for this delay and will reimburse the customer for the financing payments they have already paid, as well as future financing payments made prior to PTO. We strongly encourage all of our customers to speak with a tax professional regarding the residential solar tax credit, as stated in the home improvement contract and welcome call completed during the beginning of the project. More information about Form **** can be found on IRS.gov.
      Thank you.

To start off with, they dug a trench 2' x 2' in my yard and left open for 3 weeks. My dog fell in it, and my lady fell in it. For safety I had to cover it with sheets of my own plywood. In addition to that my rock is gone because they threw the dirt on top of it, then when they back filled the trench, there was NO rock left. Now we are dealing with a muddy mess. Without knowing, they had to destroy, or tear apart a 3rd of my deck - that I had built myself. They also did not haul the scrap away. Now I have to pay to haul it away. And now the trench is settling and I have to deal with leveling the ground out again, and pay for more rock. So you expect me to pay for the mess your company created. This is absolutely unacceptable. Your company has been horrible with communication. I would appreciate it if someone would contact me to discuss this!

We are sorry to hear about this experience with our contractor and crew. Our non-standard manager has reached out to the contractor who dug the trench and will have them out to re-compact and re-grade the trenching on the property, and Blue Raven Solar will cover the cost of replacing the gravel that was buried/lost during trenching. The team will also compensate the customer for the money spent on plywood. Regarding the deck damage, our work orders manager has talked to the customer to discuss repairs and will work with them directly to coordinate this.
      Thank you.

Blue Raven has had very aggressive salespeople coming into my neighborhood for months. They ignore No Solicitation signs, come back repeatedly even when told not to, refuse to take No for an answer, ring the doorbell on SUNDAY night and are harassing our whole neighborhood. We have told these people NO every week for at least 8 months and they keep ringing the doorbell (which sits under our No Soliciting sign). Weve asked you to stop, weve told you No, and you continue to trespass and harass **. STOP! The aggressive salespeople wont change my mind. It will make me call the cops.

I'm not sure how long Blue Raven Solar has been doing business in ********* but this is my first experience with these guys. I can now say this is the worst and most frustrating experience I've ever had with a company. I started this process in May 2022 thinking this will be all setup before Fall. It's still not connected with *********** today, May 2023. Back in Summer of 2022 I had to call multiple times just to get my System installation scheduled. It finally got schedule in October of 2022. The first try, one of their engineers said he arrived and knocked at our house but left because no one is at the house. My multiple security cameras clearly show he never did, and I was in fact waiting by the door since I've been waiting for this install for months. When the system was finally installed later that month, it took another month to get the City to inspect it, this is now November 2022. It just stayed there with nothing happening for months, with me trying to call multiple times to get an update on when Xcel Witness and Meter change will be done. Finally in April 2023 it got scheduled, or so I thought. Apparently the Xcel representative did not arrive, so the Blue Raven electrician just left and said it would be rescheduled. The next day, I get an email that the Witnessing process is complete, and that I should turn ON my system now. I was skeptical, so I called Blue Raven just to make sure that is correct information, and that I had the right net meter setup. I spoke to a Blue Raven **************** Rep for an hour just to figure all those out, who said everything looks good! I was excited, everything is now working, and I can see through the MyEnphase App I made 1.6Mwh in the current billing cycle. Today, I just found out that the Witnessing never happened, and I was ordered by Xcel to turn off my system immediately because it could be dangerous. I turned it off, and a new Witness schedule has been setup for June 7, just unbelievable!

We are sorry to hear about the issues regarding PTO. It was originally communicated to us that PTO was given during a witness test, though it is unclear where the miscommunication stemmed from after ****'s representative did not show up. For the inconvenience and delays, our net metering manager has approved $1,015.00 to be sent to the customer, and we will be compensating for any additional financing payments made prior to receiving PTO. A new witness test is on the calendar for June 7th with Xcel.
      Thank you.

****** aggressive and threatening door to door salesmen pushing solar installation would not leave my property when requested. 5/1/2023 @ 1:58PM Pacific time. Two salesmen from Blue Raven Solar would not stop soliciting me to convert to solar. My home has a "No Soliciting" sign, to which the salesmen ignored. I asked them to leave multiple times and it was not until threatening police action that they walked away from my property. I wish to never be solicited by the company again, and the two salesmen to be reprimanded for their actions.

As a private residence owner, I ordered a Solar Panel system from Blue Raven Solar, in October 2022 financing $68,000 that includes 32 panels installation and warranty. We also had the entire home rewired for an additional $14,000 dollars more, to accommodate the panels and to be in compliance with the City Code. The issue: The solar panels have been installed on my home since Nov 2022. Today is 16 May 2023 (7 months later ) and we still have no power to our panels. Our application was lost by Blue Raven and resubmitted on March 3rd of 2023 to Black Hills. After receiving an apology from Blue Raven for the error, and being credited for two (2) months of panel costs, we are still paying monthly for the financing of the panels to the financing company, the costs of the panels from Blue Raven on $68,000 of panels, and we are still paying the original electricity bill to add insult to injury. Communication is a 4/10 so if you contact them, dont expect any followup unless you call again. Blue Raven will update you, but only if you, the customer, reaches out to them. They and the electric company blame each other each month while I pay three (3) different bills every month for energy that I have yet to receive, even 7 months later. This is a highly do NOT recommend company. It lacks moral fiber or character. It doesnt meet the lowest expectation of a Solar Company. Honestly, they should be embarrassed to provide this level of service. Never did I think that I would need a legal consultation just to deal with Blue Raven. Avoid at all costs.

We are sorry to hear about the delays with this project. We have experienced some application rejections, but our net metering team has been working to have them resolved as quickly as possible. At one point, the application we submitted was lost by an engineer at the utility company, and we had trouble getting in contact with him for next steps, which delayed the project further. After reviewing this, our net metering management has approved an additional $654.00 for the delays and inconveniences. As it stands, the team is currently just waiting on the meter to be sent by the customer's utility company.
      Thank you.

I started this solar panel project almost a year ago. It has been major lack of communication. 3 electricians. Finally passed second inspection. Have the wrong meter multiple holes in my siding and fascia. I have sheet rock that needs to be repaired. Im very unsatisfied with the company over all. They give me $157 a month since its not turned on yet. And Im not even sure if the rebate has been filed with the city. No supervisor will contact me. I would like to speak with someone higher up. Im sure that wont happen.

We are sorry to hear about the delays with this project. Our net metering manager has reviewed the project and will be reaching out to the customer to discuss next steps. They have also approved $640.00 in compensation for the delays and inconveniences. Our work orders team has also evaluated the damage to the customer's home and is working on sourcing a contractor to help with repairs. As far as the rebate, our incentives team last heard that funding for the rebate ran out towards the end of last year. Since this was included in the proposal, we will also be sending a $369.00 check to make up the value of that rebate.
      Thank you.

I was approached by Blue Raven in September of 2022 to consider using them to install solar on my house. I agreed to a contract with them that included a main panel upgrade; everything went downhill from there. The main panel upgrade (***) was supposed to take 6 hours; it took more than 17 hours over the course of three months (it failed city inspection partway through the process). Blue Raven repeatedly told me during the *** process that it was safe; upon inspection from a journeyman electrician and Blue Raven's own electrician, I was told it was unsafe and a fire hazard (I lived with a serious fire hazard for over three months, at a minimum).Solar panels were installed in December; they have never been finalized, as Blue Raven repeatedly told me they could not get ahold of Xcel (meanwhile, I have been able to do so, and Xcel has told me that Blue Raven needs to finalize documents and get the inspection rescheduled). In sum, here are my complaints:a. I lived in a house that had multiple fire hazards, is not up to code, and is unacceptable, for at minimum, three months. There is absolutely no way that this is appropriate or okay.b. I have been told again & again that I am wrong, that the Blue Raven system shows everything is fine, when I am the person sitting & looking at the electrical system in my house and know it is not, courtesy of multiple skilled people helping me to understand what is wrong and unsafe. I understand that the customer is not always right, but in this case, I was gaslighted at every turn by Blue Raven employees.c. It is now six months into this project, and I do not have working solar panels; this is truly ridiculous. Work needs to be completed appropriately, inspected appropriately, and connected appropriately in a meaningful ************************** must be better.I have selected "Finish the job" below, but believe monetary compensation is also in order for the time I have spent away from work & the frustration I have dealt with.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/12/2023

We are sorry to hear about this customer's experience. The manager that oversaw the main panel upgrade was made aware of the situation and has addressed the concerns with the team that handled it. Another member of our *** management team was able to get in contact with Xcel to get the documents needed for the *** inspection. The communication channels that solar companies have to go through for things such as this are different from the ones used by customers, which is the reason for delays with us getting in contact with them. After reviewing the situation, upper management has approved $600 to be sent to compensate for the delays.
      Thank you.
