I was inquiring about solar install at my home from another company. Somehow this company got my information and has called & texted me 15+ times in 6 hours. I have called them to tell them to stop and block all the incoming #s but the harassment continues.Business Response

I had Blue Raven Solar install solar panels on my roof. They damaged a roof vent, which they deemed no responsibility on after weeks of back and forth. Fine i paid a roofer to fix that. On top of the vent being damaged, they tore MANY shingles where they mounted the feet for the solar. I have been emaili g and calling them, but they have completely ignored the torn shingles and now refuse to answer. I have a reputable roofer getting me a quote to do all of the repairs, but he advises the solar will have to be uninstalled and reinstalled. I would like for Blue Raven to take responsibility for all of the shingle damage on the roof by each of the feet for the solar panels. Per the roofer i had repair the roof vent (blue raven claims the didnt damage causing a leak), there are 60 or more damaged shingles from the poor solar installation job. We understand that this is frustrating, but our field operations team has not found anything in their review that would directly implicate us in the damage to the customer's vent. As far as the shingles, the field team believes that these are just cosmetic damages. However, we are willing to look into a concession for repairs, depending on the extent and cost of the repairs. I am rejecting this response because:
I cant say i am rejecting the response, but i am also not accepting it. They say they will "entertain" possible repair or compensation. Im sorry, torn shingles at almost every footing of the solar foot mounts they installed, is not just cosmetic. You cant just tear shingles on a roof and not expect problems in the future. I will submit the estimate from ************** of ******* **, to Blue Raven as requested. In the email and quote, they flat out reccommend a full replacement because of the shear number of damaged shingles. All I want is for Blue Raven to take responsibility for their less than ********************. In our contract it states they will install to the highest standards. Nothing about torn shingles flapping in the wind is high quality.

Our work orders upper management has reviewed the quote and scope for a new roof provided by the customer, and maintains that Blue ********************** is not at fault and will not be making any repairs or covering the cost of them. We were able to seal the area that had an active leak, but the team does not believe that the damage was caused by Blue Raven.

We bought solar from blue raven they did not disclose how the financial works and what happens 2 months later we found out the they leaned our house this was never explained to us that is what happens if we knew that we wouldn't have went solar I am not sure what to do nextBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: blue raven rep failed to disclose all information on financial obligations I never reserved any paperwork or a right to lean paper that I was supposed to sign so I was aware this action would take place the way I see it the rep purposely did not disclose this merely to make a sale and from my phone call to blue raven the person told me that the rep was no longer with the company I why this has happened to other people his answer was RIGHT then back tracked said he is not privileged to the reason to why he is no longer employed by blue raven as I see it I was purposely deserved by the rep to make a sale as I understand it he no longer employed by blue raven I call to express my concerns was told he no longer is employed and I made the comment he has done this to other people and the person on the phone said right but quickly changed his reply to he doesn't know why he no longer works for blue raven so I am lead to believe that sumption of being purposely deceived to make a sale is correct

I have been in the market for solar energy for several years. Recently I inquired again to several solar companies to provide details and quote thier product. I talked to many over the period of a couple months and eventually met with Blue Raven Solar and a ************** was their sales guy. Our meeting went as most sales meetings at my home where he asked questions such as power consumption and my wants. I was very specific to my wants and provide my electric bill with many specific details on my detemination to become energy efficent. I was very clear stating other solar companies had told my wants as far as energy independence were a bit more that they could provide with any setup of solar systems they offered being very honest. ***** assured me that his team at Blue raven would be able to setup a system that would provide my energy needs even adding to my consumption in the future(which i discussed adding a hot water heater). Over and over again he assured me the system which he quoted me for 36k dollars would do exactly what i wanted and more. He further stated this system would allow me to monitor and track my consumeption through an app. (which it did not and only would later after i paided another 200+ dollars for a module to be added) that was the first lie. So I agreed and signed for the system. Now I am not an energy expert and relied on his expertise (given they claim to be the experts) to make sure i was getting a system that met my expectations. Long story short. One month into the system and it barely produces 10% of my monthly consumption. I contacted them and customer service says it was a mistake that the system orginally was never deigned to produce enough energy to 100% independance and even with that never intended to produce more like i asked in the future byadding electric water heater ect. With all these promises lied too , at this point i just want the system removed and be done with it.Business Response

We are sorry to hear about this experience, and we apologize if there was any confusion or miscommunication about the system size and production. Blue Raven Solar will be refunding the $185 the customer paid for the ** consumption meter, since this was promised to be included early on. As far as the production, the signed proposal for the project shows a design for a 37% offset, not 100%. Our team has extensively reviewed the customer's system and design logic, and determined that reaching 100% offset would not be physically possible. Given the size of the roof, regulations around how close panels can be to the edge, and shading on the ************ portion of the roof, we would only be able to add a minimal number of panels. A retrofit would bring the offset closer to 40%-45% depending on placement, but would not be very effective given the difference in cost and benefit.

I am rejecting this response because************* clearly explained this system would be possible to get to 100% and was the contingent fact for accepting the contract. Not only would that low of a return be completely useless in the terms of 30 Year loan and still pay a energy bill, but is was the only reason I started looking solar energy. ************* was a sales rep backed by your company and a representative of you. He blatantly lied to get a sale. If my initial question was answered that the system would never be able to provide 100% of my xurrent demand I would have never continued with the project. Further more it was the first question which was asked inquiry.

I am rejecting this response because:I believe this is a horrible way to do buisness and clearly reflects on the overall morals and honesty by which your company operates. ************ as just single person could never do anything to a large company such as Blue raven but I will pass on my experience on every social media outlet and word of mouth, I can. I will now be stuck with a large monthly bill that produces less overall roi then if I would have just continued paying my electric bill. Hopefully if I. However, the panels were reinstalled today and the Blue Raven installer indicated that the critter guards were not on the installation order. I had my solar panels installed in October. We have now reaching 3 months without being able to use them. I have called Blue Raven over 20 times to get updates on my installation process. Only to find out that the paperwork has not been submitted. I am paying for something I cannot use. I can never get connect to someone at Blue Raven who is in charge to give me a straight answer. We apologize for the delays that this customer has experienced. Our net metering team had to make adjustments in the interconnection process, since this was the first time we've worked with the customer's utility company. There was some confusion about what their requirements were, which pushed the process back. We received the approval we needed, and are queued for PTO and the net meter replacement. Our team received this confirmation on January 9th, 2023, and our team will be following up on January 19th, given that the utility company has given us a 10-day turn around for the meter.
For the delays, we are offering to cover 3 months worth of loan payments for the customer, for a $420.00 total.

We started the process in march 2022. we were told we should be producing by end of July. the next step after signing papers was roof and electrical evaluation. we had an entire roof replacement and it was determined that we needed an electrical panel upgrade. they said they were going to cover that. ***** Electric came to look at the panel and said they needed to order a 400A meter base. i informed them that it was a 400 amp meter base be he didn't listen to me. the new meter base was on back order for 6 months. end of September the electrical contractor starts the panel upgrade but when it came time to change the meter base they found that they brought the wrong one and that's when they finally opened up the original meter base and found that it would work fine. so we waited 6 months for nothing. during that whole process we did not get ONE SINGLE call from blue raven about anything. i was forced to ****** anything i could about contacting them. no one will return phone calls or emails. and when i finally get a hold of someone they block my number from any future calls. went to the local office and they said they would take care of it but nothing has happened. when i try to call that person at the office it goes directly to voice mail.now for the installation process. here it is Dec 27th and they start the install. we were told that it would be a 2 day job. we are now gonna have to do a 5th day due to poor planning poor quality of work. I, the home owner, caught a mistake that electrician made. he was marking a hot leg as a neutral wire. in one day they had to make 3 parts run because of poor planning.so now we are coming up on a year for this whole train wreck. to end the day today the electrician had to leave and said he would be right back. 2 hours later i texted him to see if he was coming back. 1.5 hours later he said no and his boss would be calling me....still waitng for the call. fyi we have 51 panels on our roof.todays date is 2022-12-30Business Response

We signed a contract with Blue Raven Solar System June 29, 2022. The project began in I believe August. In the contract it was stated each section was to take 1-6 weeks to complete, however, when speaking with a customer service rep. it was stated that many different sections can be completed at one time during those 1-6 weeks. This project was to take 3-4 months to complete. It's now January and it's finished. During this process we have been tossed from one person to another, ghosted by all of them. My husband finally wrote an email to the president of the company, this lead us to ************************* and her boss, *****. Things started moving a bit faster, not by much. Blue Raven is located in ****. The recently started building their business in **. They had no idea **'s regulations regarding electrical. They had several different people come to our home out because it wasn't up to code, requiring us to take days off of work. Weeks went on with little progress. It was November when my husband asked for concessions. They offered $1,500. ****** stated it was mailed out Nov. 18th. We still haven't received the check. I directed them to write a new check and overnight it. We got it in 2 days. Things continued to go downhill with little progress being done to the project. They are now out of contract, as it's been nearly 6 months. There is also a clause in the contract that they've breached. 2 weeks ago, we wrote another email requesting additional compensation for this project, as we're paying for something that isn't completed. They offered us $100. Not only is that unacceptable, but it's also offensive. They have caused a great deal of pain and suffering. 2 major meltdowns on the phone with them and one meltdown with an electrical provider to fix another mistake that needed to be corrected. We have paid $30,000 for this project and it's still not completed! We want monetary compensation.Business Response

The contract gives estimated timeframes for each project stage that most projects reach, but none of these estimates are guaranteed, and the home improvement contract has not been breached. As far as where the project is now, we've submitted the passing inspection results to the customer's utility company, and we are waiting for approval and confirmation that a new net meter has been ordered and/or installed. We will be compensating the customer for loan payments that have begun prior to energization.

Blue Raven installed solar panels on 12/9. During the installation they left a hole in an exterior wall, a hole in a concrete walkway, and, I later found out, they botched the electrical update which resulted in me paying an appliance repair person to come out. Since that day Ive had a county inspector out three times and have had multiple repair personnel visits. Over the first week I had someone here every day, which is taking me away from being able to work. On multiple occasions Ive been told to expect calls which *** never received. The inspector from my electric company came yesterday and provided three different issues that Blue Raven needs to fix before they will initiate net metering. Every step of this installation has been challenging and has taken a ton of my time. My remaining issues are as follows:-Repair of the concrete hole. I was told on 12/12 to expect a call to schedule within 3-5 days and have heard nothing since. -Repair of the interior and exterior exposures of the hole in the wall. I've heard nothing since 12/15. -A refund for the $149 I paid to have an appliance repair person come out to tell me my dryer wasnt getting the correct electrical current. The bill was emailed to Blue Raven at their request on 12/12 and I've heard nothing since. -Correction of the remaining issues that are preventing the electric company from completing the net metering, which include missing signage and use of cardboard instead of a plastic cover.Business Response

Concrete hole: Our work orders team has reached out to our contractor multiple times regarding this, but they have been unresponsive. The team will be reaching out to other contractors to have this repaired.
Hole in wall: We had our drywall repairman scheduled for this, and the hole is now patched. Another visit will be needed so that the patchwork can be painted.
Appliance repair invoice: A member of our work orders management submitted for $149 to be reimbursed and sent by our accounting team.

These solar panels have been am absolute struggle and blue raven solar has done 0 to help us. They have caught the electrical panel on the side of our house on fire twice. They rarely work to produce. Will randomly shut off recording so that we don't know there is am issue till our electric bill shows up and it's 10x the normal amount. Then they refuse to compensate the difference while we are not only paying them 200 a month for the panels themselves with a gram total of about 40k but then we are also paying an upwards amount of 300 to 500 in electric bills. How are we supposed to survive this. Absolutely will never go solar again. Unfortunately we are stuck. They have refused to come to a resolve on any of these problems will not send me to a manager to help resolve this. I have contacted them a number of times through email and multiple phone calls still getting a run around . Most of the cause of these problems have been due to wiring issues and faulty installation again with no resolve and still continue to be overcharged and pay monthly for services we are not receivingBusiness Response
