      I am reporting a complant about a pest control company named Aptive Environmental.I was told by the salesman/****** that I would be serviced once a month at $74. Come to find out they were billing me for that amount but no service for three months. They are not an honest company and by doing some googling on them they have several complaints against them including a government one in ***I am a senor citizen and I feel they took advantage of me. I have contacted my ********** to watch for any more charges going forward. They did put a hold on the charge pending it will be removed by Aptive Environmental Company Did call company listed on the first service in ********, ** and talked to a customer service person named *******. Told her the situation and hopefully it has been taken care of. I have learned at my age not to do business with door to door salesmen; they are crooks.

      I Spoke to the sales agent ****** on Saturday May 17th and after showing him my quarterly assessment of their findings of all of their bait stations I was Aptive would provide better protection and they would start by going around my foundation and filling any holes in my stone foundation on the first visit. The next day the tech came and no holes were patched. I went from having over 16 bait stations throughout my property inside and out to 1 bait station, 4 glue traps and 4 spring traps. Basically I was told if a rodent is found for us to get rid of it ourselves, we could call them but most people dont. So I was led to believe that now we are dealing with checking all the traps daily and buying our own glue traps if they get used. I can do this on my own and save the monthly fee for a quarterly service. We first called the company directly and then were told to call the sales *********** calling him to tell him we werent happy and that we wanted better service not less and he told us he understood and would have the someone call us back to resolve the issue. We wanted to cancel we decided to wait to see what the company had to say.This takes us to Friday days later and no call. I called the company and was told ****** never told them so I went past the three day window of canceling my service. I explained I didnt get the service I was promised and they said well you didnt get it in writing and we wont cancel until you pay us $200. I told them I want the service canceled and do not want them to come onto my property anymore. I will see what happens from here.

      During my last Pest Control service visit, I found out that Aptive took over the company I had originally contracted, which was RIDD. This was done without prior communication to customers.

      I am having issues with scheduling for services as well as getting in touch with customer service about the end date of my original contract.

      1) Scheduling of services:

      I was recently sent a message telling me I had another service appointment on Monday, May 19, 2025. I had to change my work schedule in order to make myself available between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM - which is very unrealistic for working adults to do especially when you have to let someone into your house. No one showed up and nobody contacted me to let me know that nobody was showing up that day until I received a text at 7:20 PM telling me that my appointment was moved to May 22, 2025. Today, on May 21st, I checked the portal to see if the appointment was the same date and to my surprise it was rescheduled again to May 29th. They seem to have an option on the portal to reschedule the appointment, but there are no available dates for the next two weeks.

      2) Customer service not responding to emails

      On top of this, on May 19, I reached out to customer service via email for information on when my contract with RIDD was ending because I do not want to renew the contract with this new company. The Aptive portal does not show a copy of my contract with RIDD, so I was very concerned about the company continuing to bill me past my contract end date. I have yet to receive any communication from their customer service team.

      In conclusion, I do not want to be associated with this company anymore. I do not have the option to reschedule or cancel any upcoming appointments and customer service is not responding in a timely manner. I would like to receive written confirmation from Aptive with my original RIDD contract end date, and certifying that it will not renew and I will not be billed past the end date.

      Trying to cancel service with Aptive Pest control and they won’t let me or my husband cancel because they’re saying we need to call from the number we enrolled with. So if you change your number you’re just stuck forever? All complete say the same thing. I just want to be canceled with this company.

      I want aprive to cancel further services and stop charging my credit cards . I am done with contract and their extremely poor service. Customer service doesn’t pick up phone when trying to cancel the service. From today onwards I will not be responsible for any charges

      I subscribed to Aptive for a one-year term starting on 04/22/2024 and was billed monthly. In March, I noticed a double charge. I was informed that the term was renewed on 03/27/2025, that's why there are two charges in March. However, I did not consent to renew the term. Despite the refund for the March overcharge, I was also billed on 04/29/2025 for the renewed term. Since I did not agree to this renewal, I am requesting a refund. Unfortunately, Aptive has refused both to issue the refund or to provide the scheduled service on 05/02/2025 associated with the charge.

      Since I did not agree to renew the term, I am requesting a refund for the monthly charge, as no service was provided.

      I am writing to formally express my concern regarding unsanctioned solicitation by representatives of Aptive Environmental within Oakland Heights Subdivision gated community, despite clear signage prohibiting such activity under Texas Penal Code Section 30.05 (Criminal Trespass).

      On 16 May 2025, your sales representatives entered our restricted-access neighborhood to solicit business from homeowners. Despite signs explicitly stating "No Soliciting" and the legal reference to Section 30.05, your team proceeded with door-to-door sales efforts. This disregard for posted regulations not only violates community policies but also raises concerns regarding trespassing and residents’ privacy.

      As a gated community, we prioritize security and enforce strict policies regarding unauthorized entry and solicitation. Your company’s actions undermine these protections and cause unnecessary distress among residents. We respectfully request that your sales team immediately cease all solicitation within our community and acknowledge our legal rights regarding restricted access.

      Failure to adhere to posted restrictions may result in formal complaints to local authorities and further action in accordance with Texas trespassing laws. We trust that your business values ethical practices and will take swift action to rectify this issue.

      I accepted a door to door transaction with Aptive pest contol on July 18,2024. I tried to cancel many times and was lied to that it was cancelled. I have more bugs now then before they started. This company has several complaints and rips people off.

      I am rejecting this response because: I have voles tearing up my back yard and now I have to call an exterminator after spending over$1,000 on a business you were supposed to take care of.  I also have more bugs then before you came.  I wasted so much money.  You took advantage of me.  I want your business shut down.  Based on all the complaints you've gotten it should happen.  I would like a refund of what I spent so I can now call an exterminator.  I am a young widow with kids still at home.  I am dealing with so much and now I have to deal with my vole and bug problem after spending over $1,000 with you I now have to hire someone else who can actually do the job. I will be talking to an attorney as well.  I expect to get reimbursed for a service that did not happen.

      Aptive sent a door to door sales rep to my home, and I was told that I could cancel after three treatments. I called to cancel in fall of 2024 but the guy convinced me to put my account on pause. Now I'm being told I can either lower my bill or I have to pay a $200 cancelation fee. Not only that, I was charged last month and the guy just showed up and left without spraying the home.

      This company uses sales tactics to pressure you into a contract that the FTC specifically warns about, and then makes it hard to cancel later. If this company is offering a great service why are they making it so hard to for customers to stop using them?
