This is the fourth time this person has come to our house trying to sell pest control. The first two times it was right after I had left the house to go across the street to our community pool. The third time we talked to him but told him clearly we were not interested in this service. Last night at 9:05PM he softly knocked on our front door. We have a Ring doorbell. He did not push the button, but we have him recorded on camera and can verify the time of his solicitation. He was carrying a flashlight and riding a segway. He had no ID and wanted to talk about the bugs flying around my front door and outside light. ******** code clearly ****** not after 8pm. 78 Del. Laws, c. 221, 2; ****. Time of solicitation. I used Aptive Environmental for pest control. They signed me up for 12 month contract promising list of things. After 2 services it was evident that the products that they used are ineffective on ants, spiders and other insects. After multiple attempts to treat again I received no response from them as the lines are always busy. Upon cancelling they quickly transferred me to department where they can charge me $199 as a cancellation fee. If the service was not up to the **** then why are they claiming to provide service and have that audacity to charge cancellation fee from their trapped customer. As ******************** you should look into their practice. It's a loot at the customers stake by giving them unsatisfactory service and when they are frustrated , charge them with cancellation fees and make a profit.Business Response

Aptive Environmental came to my home after I requested to reschedule the appointment and after instructing them not to as I was out of town. They sprayed my yard which has never been sprayed in the year+ I have been using them. There have been numerous instructions to the scheduler and technicians to NEVER spray outside of my home and always, ONLY, inside. The scheduling person I spoke with confirmed this after this happened, stating that it was clearly in the notes and instructions had been filed in my chart multiple times. Additionally, I was charged despite the above issues and not spraying inside which was the agreed arrangement and their management has yet to return a promised phone call. Furthermore, they claim to use "environmentally friendly" products but they are not. Simple Greenwashing and they should be held accountable.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I was repeatedly told by the Aptive office staff that I should be contacted by a regional manager within 24 hours. Several weeks later I finally was contacted when I was out of town. A voicemail was left by office staff and an email was sent by a regional manager's assistant providing me with the managers name and number. I returned late Sunday evening and called the manager today (Monday) only to have my call rejected but a text sent asking if he could call later. Which he never did. So, yes, I reject their attempt at resolution as it was minimal at best.
Dear Aptive, please don't rebut my complaints and statements with a pitiful attempt at resolution with no genuine effort. I have asked for a telephone call from the manager. Not an email from his assistant nor a call from the regular office staff which I have spoken with multiple times.

A guy from the company arrived at my door with a pushy aggressive sales pitch at my front door.. zero business cards. No company truck. Zero permit to sell! Many complaints are online. I have had multiple employees show up unsolicited trying to sell me on their pest control services. I would like to be placed on their no solicitation list. I tried to request this through their website and was told they only have a phone list, not an address list which contradicts multiple complaints/resolutions on the BBB website.Business Response

First Sales rep came to my door on 7/27 second sales rep came to my door on 8/5 they are very pushy and wont leave even after telling them we arent interested. Second sales rep named *****, acted as if he cannot hear me on my ring camera (I went back to listen to it and you can hear me very well), he was just trying to get his sale. After the 4th or 5th time telling him the same thing again, I finally went to the door and opened it to let him know what I was saying. He acted so surprised that I was actually home and answered my door. I told him VERY firmly that we already had a pest control service and I said goodbye. He asked me why do I need to be so hostile and I said he was the second sales rep to come to my door even after I told them we dont need a pest control. I also have called the company and left a complaint about this company. I sure hope they stop harassing me. Next up will be a police report.Business Response

This company consistently sends door to door salesman that engage in disrespectful and fraudulent behaviors (such as stating certain companies don't actually spray or do pest control but include it in their name or my "current company" engages in terrible practice yet they have 0 proof). Making unreasonable promises, refusals to leave upon being told "no, please leave my property." and they appear after 8pm at night any day of the week. They were last at my residence on 8/4/2022. And I am sure that the company is more than aware of the solicitation guidelines they are breaking. This needs to stop and I request that they cease coming to my residence.Business Response

Aptive has treated my yard a few times to rid of mosquitoes but a recent application on June20, 2022 resulted in the total destruction of my lawn and also killed some plants. I have since reached out to customer service by phone, email and online reports and have gotten no effective response. After the last application someone from Aptive came on June 29, 2022 and took photos and I also sent several photos of my lawn. Since then it has been impossible to reach anyone at the company except people that say "someone will be in touch with you" ; "a manager has been informed" etc. This has gone on for 6 weeks now but I haven't received a response as to how they will deal with this problem. An Aptive salesman by the name of ***** was going door to door in our neighborhood. He tried to gain familiarity by saying he is here because one of my neighbors (called her by a name) uses their services. I dont have a neighbor by that name. He clearly ignored multiple No solicitation and no trespassing signs and was aggressive with knocking/banging on doors, going on late into the evening. He even was caught on camera trying to see if the door was unlocked at one of my neighbors house. One neighbor even called the cops on him and his threatening behavior. He asked to speak to my husband when he wasnt getting the response he wanted from me which is incredibly insulting. Check the local companys online reviews and you will see all of these concerns validated by lots of other people as well.Business Response
