      Terrible fraud investigation department. Does not do a thorough job at investigating frauds such as funding out the account information or owner of where the charges are taking place. Multiple times debit card was hacked and charges were made but each time they denied the claim stating the charge came from your address And it. But we don't have any accounts associated with the merchants and can't provide info who are the owners of those accounts

      Was a Capital One credit card customer for at least 5 years without major issues until summer 2021. Every aspect of Capital One went bad from service, product, and security. For example, a strange reason, my Capital One password did not work; was forced reset. Capital One took me to a password reset page where it made "social security number" and "birthdate" mandatory. This different from how most financial institutions operate when resetting the online password. Called Capital One multiple times, all representatives had negative attitudes, short, impatient, rude, and unprofessional. One even saying, "This is the ONLY way, there is no other way. You must disclose this information. If you don't you are not cooperating." That doesn't make sense when they already have this info on file when I applied for the credit card. They may be trying to do better on security, but backfired as this inflexible, disrespectful approach actually made Capital One look unwise and stupid. The poor service and demanding/unreasonable password reset request led me to close my account. I had a credit balance no more than $20 at the time of closing. I asked Capital One to please send the check to me. They refused insisting that I must first reset my Capital One online password to make such request. This is also different than how most credit card companies operate where upon account closing, if credit balance, a check is mailed. As of this writing, Capital One still hasn't released the money. When calling Capital One again today, the supervisor, *****, still insist that disclosing my social security # and birthdate is the only way to get my money back. Crooked business.Stay away.Happy to provide a screenshot of Capital One's password reset page.

      My dad was a victim of elderly abuse including theft and fraud (he has Alzheimer's). Capital One did have enough sense to call adult protective services due to the money this lady was taking out of his account. We are now trying to get documentation from his accounts as legal guardians and no one will help us. The Banks just tell us they cant access the records because they have been purged although they are required to keep records for a minimum of 5 years and no one in customer service will help us. Neither the Bank and CS line will give us anyone that we can talk to, no one will help. This lady took over $300k from my father and we have no way to take care of him and we cant get any proof from his bank records. This is the worst Bank I have ever had to deal with. No one is willing to help while my dad deteriorates without care. Terrible... *******************

      This company is bias and a total joke! Nothing but horrible experiences with them. Anyone thinking of opening a credit account with them should SERIOUSLY reconsider!

      I recently tried to get a replacement card for one I had lost. They refused to ***** this because I do not own a cell phone that they can send me texts on. I did not need a cell phone to get the account , did not need a cell phone to make payments on this account for last 4 yrs. but now all of a sudden I need one . I cancelled my account with Captial one and will never do business with them again

      ******* failed to refund me for an item I returned after telling me through email text and phone calls that they would refund me multiple times over the span of a couple of months. Capital one opened a dispute and said they would help me but put in incorrect numbers. I sent in the correct documentation and got back a letter again with the incorrect numbers I have not been helped by either ******* or Capital One its all garbage all lies the app is confusing and leaves no clarity they dont take care of their customers the bottom line is they take and they dont care

      I have been a Capital One customer for a long time, but my account was cashed out $2800 on 06/23/2022 at your branch, but I never came to VA and the signature is not mine, how can you let the person cash out ? It is totally your fault It has been over 3 months, I called Capital One but I was told it is still under investigation (I was told it took 3 months to investigate when I report my account were hacked) and there is no time to get back my $2800. I do not know how long I should wait to get back my $2800, Please refund me soon to keep customers trusting your bank.

      Hilton issued a credit of $590 on 10/10 that cleared on their end. It was pending on my account and then just vanished. I have spoken to multiple people at capitol one and they have had the credit confirmed by ****** personally. Capitol one is unable to give me a feasible and truthful explanation and admit they messed something up on their end. I will file a complaint with the whole world if I have to become Im not going to have my credit affected and be responsible for $600 I shouldnt

      Capital One's ***************** ****************** totally failed me! As others have also reported, my time also supposed ran out to file a Dispute, even though I was communicating with them on a regular basis. I felt like I was under scrunity instead of the Merchant/Company that was refusing to refund my money for a returned purchase! I will be limiting my business dealings with both Capital One and the company I filed the Dispute against! Thank You BBB again for your Help in getting this resolved in my Favor!!!
