I lost my job, was unable to make payments on my credit card for awhile, I finally got another job and called to let them know I was paying off my account and to get a status update. They told me the account was still active and that funds would be available in **** business days, all I had to do was call to get the account taken off a hold.Once the payment officially cleared, I called to get the hold taken off and the rep told me the account was permanently locked and shut down due to non-payment and that the original rep gave me inaccurate information.Horrible bank to have a credit card with and even when I got the card while I had good credit, the interest rate was high.

Be aware; ************ will charge you interest fees after your closing bill cycle; therefore after paying your full balance from your bill before or in due date it will not be your last bill. Dont believe in their bill statements!!! They dont even care of your feedback, no one will call you back!

Went to withdraw money from my account today and the teller refused the transaction. The tellers refused to acknowledge my drivers licence, military id, nor my VA ID as forms of identification. I am in disbeleif that a veteran with 3 forms of ID cannot access their money from this Bank. This happened at the Capital One on ***************, in *******, *********. The teller refused to get me a manager and said that this was a Capital One policy.

I have had REI card from US bank since the late ****s. *** recently switched to Capital one. I have had more trouble with this bank than all the other credit cards since ****. I have only had the Capital One credit card for about two months. I have a really high credit rating and a small balance that we pay off in full each month. I tried to order a ****** app a week ago on this new card and the transaction failed. I called Capital one and they released the hold on the charge.. OK.. I have made some other charges since with no problem and tonight I wanted to something from a large company in ******. The company's web site said the transaction failed so I called the bank to get it fixed. We went thru the normal identification stuff and I verified all the charges. The lady transferred me to the fraud group to allow the charge. I had to give the guy all my phone numbers and my address again so he could verify the account. He sent a text with a web link where I was supposed to upload pix of both the front and back sides of my drivers license which I did. He then said there was a third phone number on the account that I could not identify. He said he would have to replace my wife card because of this phone number. He wanted me fax or email him a copy of a federal id for my wife to reset her card. Or I could mail it if I did not have a fax or want to email it. I was livid. He said he would have to look and see if the system would require my card to be replaced too. He he had to di it because of that old phone number. I **** the line at sending in my wife drivers license. We have had these cards since the **** and they have all the financial history on us they need. I proved who I was when they the text message to my phone which provides identity info and when I sent back my drivers license. I was calling them on my land line phone which is the same number since ****. All I wanted was to place a simple order on the web. I have had nothing but trouble with ***

I have tried 3 times to send my info to CAPITAL ONE, and although the copy of my drivers license is perfectly clear to the eye, they won't accept it, through the fraud protection department. They want me to upload my info through my cell phone, which I can't as I have a basic Tracphone. I have spoken with them numerous times on the phone and asked why they are unable to verify that is me, since we were on my home phone and they said no. There is nothing else I can do from my end! It makes no sense! They won't even change my home phone number to the correct one I just changed it to. I pay my bills on the Internet, but I was not even sent a paper statement so I could see my changes and statement. I'm starting to feel there is something negative going on! I will try to pay my balance off and then cancel the account. I never had such a problem with any other credit cards.

I've had at least two Capital One credit card accounts for about 10 years or more. In May of 2022 somebody stole my wallet out of my car with a lot of other items and I tried to go online to Capital One the very next morning when I noticed my wallet was stolen to lock my card. I thought my card was locked successfully until about a week or two later when I got a gasoline station charge on my card. I reached out to Capital One and made a dispute which they never honored my zero fraud liability protection. After dealing with this for about 4 months I decided to just close the card and move on. While paying my balances I noticed that Capital One had sent me a letter on their dashboard where all my electronic statements are posted asking me for information regarding my fraud charge. They never sent me an email or gave me a phone call to ask me for information but they stay in their letter on their dashboard that I never followed up with them or gave them the information they needed. so the day that I close my card they credited my account for the fraud but then turned around later and then took it back stating that I did not give them information they needed after I requested to close my account. I had called Capital One several times and they kept forwarding me to one of their Fraud specialist but they never resolved the issue with me. They kept telling me that because my card was used at a gas station that I have used in the past that it couldn't be fraud even though it was an area where I reside at times.

DO NOT BANK WITH CAPITAL ONE!!I recently opened an account and spoke with an agent to have a debit card expedited to me because I was traveling to help victims with Hurricane *** in ******* and needed my new debit card to access my funds. The agent confirmed my card was sent via ***** and would arrive in 2 business days. Upon receiving and activating my new debit card it wouldnt work with any digital wallets or at an ATM. After calling and speaking with a supervisor I was pretty much told oh well and that theres nothing Capital 1 can do about it even though it is clearly a mistake on their end, they offered no help and were extremely dismissive. I am in my 50s and have never dealt with such horrible customer service. STAY FAR AWAY FROM ********************!!

I am disputing the $40.00 late fee on this credit card. Here is the sequence of events.1)Under the previous carrier, i.e., U.S. Bank, for my REI credit card, I had an automatic payment each month to U.S. Bank. I was never late paying U.S. Bank for this bill.2)I received my first bill from Capital One in September. I had never received a credit card from Capital One to replace my REI credit card provided by U.S. Bank. I did not know what the account number was until I received this bill from Capital One.3)On 9/5/2022, I called Capital One where after almost an hour on the phone, I spoke with a Capital One supervisor. I explained the situation that I had never authorized Capital One to make this automatic payment. I said that I was willing to pay the bill of $250.62, but not the Past Due Fee of $29.00 since this was the first bill I received from Capital One.The supervisor agreed to send a new bill without the late charge or interest charge.During this call, I cancelled this Capital One credit card since I had never received this credit card.4)While I was out-of-town, I finally received a second bill on 10/5/2022 as promised by the Capital One supervisor that I spoke to on 9/5/2022. However, this bill included a late charge of $40.00. 5)Today--10/10/2022, I submitted payment for the full bill including this late fee. This company is not customer friendly.

In preparation for a vacation my husband and I made changes to our account, booked a flight, hotel, and got a new credit card (to also use long time) but my husband moved money from one account to another (which we're both capital one accounts I had put his name on a few days prior) and they decided to lock our accounts, then sent the entire team that handles this issue home for a holiday weekend, effectively holding us, and our money hostage until Tuesday. We were not emailed, called, or texted to notify us that our account was locked, and no one left notes, and no one in any department, even a SUPERVISOR, cannot do anything, and just told us that we're out of luck and have to sit with no way to pay for gas or groceries. So we cannot go or eat anywhere. We are barred from OUR money, not Capital One's money, that my husband and I both work very hard for, for three days. We had to have a friend pay for our dinner because they refuse to unlock our accounts. It is an awful business practice to bar people from the money that they work very hard to earn.
