My experience at MyEyeDr was fine with both the quality and service of staff. However the problem was with the invoice that I paid as I was checking out for $339.50. I didn't pay close attention until I saw the *** from my insurance company. They paid $324.88. There was a charge for $144.00, code V2750 for Anti-refelective coating. This charge waS on the *** and my invoice which to me means it was paid twice. I asked billing for an explanation and received a response through email that said the insurance company agreed that the *** is correct and that the case was closed. They will not respond to my request for clarification on what appears to be the same charge on my invoice. They said once a case is closed there will be no further communication. There is no one from corporate billing that is accessible through email or phone. You must deal with your local MyEyeDr facility who submits your complaint then tells you unacceptable results and that it's closed.MyEyeDr

After waiting 2 weeks, glasses did not work. Blurry except for a small area in center. Had to be refitted with different frames and have the lenses corrected. After another 2 week wait, new glasses arrived and were acceptable. After another 2 weeks received a surprise bill from them looking for more money on their already overpriced services. I was told all was fully covered by my insurance, not true I guess. Also was asked twice about buying eyeglass protection plan, to which I said NO twice, but still have a charge for it on the bill.Avoid this company.MyEyeDr

Our check out experience was horrible! My husband came in for an appointment. The eye exam procedure and ******* were great according to my husband but when it came to selling the package, theres a general manager and sale associate tandem going on here. My husband called me at work and passed the phone to **** who quoted us a price of $456 for frames and progressive lenses. He gave me his sales talk and didnt give me a chance to speak. He also added, w/o insurance, it would easily be $1k. I said just charge the $39 for the retinal exam and let me check my hsa balance and come back to you. **** sounded disappointed no decency in hiding it by the way. My husband comes home with the paperwork and a receipt for $39. I check my hsa balance, to my surprise it reflected -$39. I hadnt used my *** for this year. Per the provider, there was a Point of Sale from MyEyeDr for $1k plus which $561.66 went through, then a second charge of $39 which caused it to be over-drafted. I called back and spoke to **** to tell him about the unauthorized charge, put me on hold and got back that he checked as well as the manager and no other transaction made, only $39. Called the provider again and advised there were indeed 2 charges and gave me timestamps. Called MyEyeDr again, ****** answered, I asked to speak to the manager and he replied he was the manager. He also said no charges seen on their side. Both sounding condescending, with an air of attitude and no accountability. This is unacceptable! ******** customer service and sales practice! I reported for fraud. Will the owner kindly reach out to me? Id appreciate your time and attention to this matter. Read the comments of the others, theres a trend on your sales people/ check out process. You ought to fire them! Beware of this place!MyEyeDr

1 starI went to get an eye exam which is free with my insurance, I chose to get contacts lenses which by the way I have been wearing for more than 30 years. When I finished with the doctor and went to check out I was told I had to pay a ‘contact lenses fitting fee” and the cost of the contacts, which was a total of $350.00 I have never heard of a fitting fee in all my 30 plus years of wearing contacts, I made the payment but the called the office and asked why didn’t an eye exam used to cover getting contacts. The young man tried to tell me something about you have to get fitted for contacts, I hung up the phone but I called them back and asked to have my order for contacts cancelled. I think this is a scam and a way to make extra money for someone I’m not sure who but I will not be returning to any My Eye Doctor locations, I went there a year ago and didn’t pay a fitting fee.Review fromJoshua S

2 starsI've been seeing Dr *** and his associate for years in his private practice but then when it became part of the chain MyEyeDr that's when all my issues started. Plus that's when the other ** I used to see in the private practice for my double vision left the practice. MyEyeDr had my prisms going in the wrong direction (is what they told me) in one pair of glasses for double vision and then in another pair they left out one of the prisms and when I'm telling them I'm getting headaches and my vision is worse from the new glasses I just keep getting told I'm not giving it enough time to adjust to them. I've worn glasses over 40 years and I've never had to "adjust" to new glasses or have them make my vision worse or give me headaches. Found the ** I used to see and got the lenses/prisms fixed after a new exam and review of the glasses which revealed they had left out one of the prisms. Now that they are fixed I'm seeing great with no issues - clear not fuzzy - no headaches. But MyEyeDr was of no help. The first time I had issues with my glasses there I even got a snarky comment about being difficult. They wouldn't listen to me at MyEyeDr. I just kept getting the run around saying give it more time. It's sad when I could see better with my old glasses and not get headaches than with the pair MyEyeDr made me. Read all the poor ratings for other locations too.Review fromTanairie E

The **************** has sent me a million emails to schedule my annual. Theyve also called more than a hand full of times to schedule an appointment. I arranged my week to fit in my appointment for today. I confirmed my appointment and also verified my insurance. I showed up for my appointment today on time only to be told I was rescheduled. How? ***? No one called to tell me or even ask if I was okay with this. Not even a voicemail. My appointment was for 3pm so they had all morning to do so. Their excuse was my appointment was pushed to overflow. Then tried to make me feel like it was my fault they couldnt see me today. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I ended up having to reschedule for tomorrow. Now Im thinking this office isnt worth it.MyEyeDr
