This company at the La Jolla location is a nightmare. As a Military member who lost a significant amount of weight and wanted to get the surgery to fix the loose skin. these are the problems: - Hidden fees: you are not paying only for the surgery. You are paying for the ************* stability if you do not have a partner to take you home. An additional fee is your credit is not up to par. - Unauthorized charges: why would I pay to have a consultation when it is not in the disclaimer? If the surgeon explains something you don't agree with don't why would you pay?- Rude people: Stop forcing charges when clients are not comfortable. 1 starThe surgeon said he couldn't do it because i had a medical issue.So I called to let them as soon as I got in my car. I need my money to be put back in my account first she said no problem give her a few weeks ******* april5 and April 6 2023 and ******.****** got nothing back Then I called again they told me they couldn't put back In my bank account because it's over 45 days then said they was going to send a paper check in the mail. Nothing came so I called again the guy tells me the address they sent it to was the wrong address then he wanted my account and routing number to my so they can send direct deposit. I had my procedure done back in 01/21 I had my upper & lower abdominal sections done along with my love handles. I paid roughly around 6k for the service. It's now 2 years and 3 mouths later and I'm back to where I was when I spent the 6k. When I went back in on my 3 month checkup I spoke to them about not seeing the results that I thought I would and I was promised that the I would see the results in the next **** months, not knowing that I only had 12 months to bring fourth any complaints or issues because no one really focused on making sure that I knew that, I take full responsibility for that because I should have taken more time to actually read the contract but with all the pressure of setting the date and dealing with the covid 19 restricting, the customer service wasn't 5 star at all. I have called them numerous of times and the phone just rings none stop, I was finally lucky enough to get in contact with someone I explained that I wasn't happy with my results, I understand that I only spent 6k compared to what others pay but nevertheless it's still a lot of money to lose for a service that isn't showing results.I was told at first that there was a way that they may be able to help me under some guarantee and that's when someone told me that they would look at my chart and give me a call back, needless to say I didn't hear back from anyone until I called back.When I had to explain myself again that's when I was talked down to and told that the surgery is just one step and that I needed to exercise and eat right. Thats when I got really heated because I run 3 10k's a week and I also fast weekly, so when I heard that it made me feel that this is the way that Sono Bello talk to their customers when the customer doesn't see the results that they paid for.I got a voice mail message from the area director I called her back 30 minutes later and left a message 4 days ago and I still haven't heard back. No refund is needed I want my results.Sono Bello

I went to look into why the areas I had worked on looked the exact same as I did when I went in and spent $6500 and of course they shifted the blame on me, saying that I've gained 12 pounds since my procedure. They. Claimed that my paper work and before pictures were not on site??????.. They then proceeded to say that I needed to lose 12 pounds and come back and that they would get my before pictures too compare too my current pictures. Well it's been two weeks and I haven't heard from anyone. I'm also checking with my doctor to get my weight during that time becauseI truly believe that I was heavier at that time. The fact that the weight would go back to those exact same spots that were worked on is ironic. I've seen others people before and after pictures on your website thT were way heavier and their outcome was very noticeable.Review fromNicholas P

Worst experience of my life. They completely messed up my surgery and asked if they could put me through the pain again. I was very nervous to say yes, but did anyways. They then made every excuse to keep cancelling the procedure after I paid. They took the money and ran. I have emails from the staff confirming the make up surgery. Do not go there. One nurse made a statement to another worker where they did not know I could hear "was the Dr drunk when he did the procedure" then they laughed. Wow is all I can saySono Bello

Went to Sono Bello April 2022 for contouring, during the procedure I felt everything but eventually fell asleep once the meds kicked in.. it wasnt until after when I noticed one side of my love handles wasnt done at all, no puncture wounds, no drainage, nothing. When I brought it up at my first visit I was told everyone heals differently and its impossible for me to see whats happening back there. 6 month visit, again, same thing, MY body is just that way. There is a huge indent where the binder was placed after in my lower stomach, below my belly button, I was told thats because of loose skin. Ive been trying to reschedule an appointment for correction and they keep giving me appointment times that I specifically said wont work. When I speak to them they give me one appointment time, when they text me to remind me of my time its a different time that I specifically told them I cant make. Every time I call to talk to them, we agree on a time, a day or 2 before they text me a different time again. Its happened 4 times now. I feel like *** been left disfigured and they wont work with me for an appropriate time to schedule my preop to fix anything. At this point Im looking elsewhere to fix what they messed up, but I paid $10000+. At my initial consultation I was told you get what you pay for when I mentioned it was cheaper elsewhere. I walked in for a free consultation and was so impressed by ***** that I was confident this was the location for my operation. This would allow me to avoid leaving town while remaining near my family.On March 31, I went to Sonobello for surgery, and the experience was dreadful. It was like something out of a nightmare. Everything, from the punctures to the suction to the incision, is felt by me. I yelled and wept and was ordered to remain quiet since the other patients couldn't hear me making such a loud noise. When I begged for additional pain medicine to stop the excruciating pain, I was given a stress ball to try to relax me.Because the doctor's equipment wasn't working properly, he would yell at the nurse before taking the tool out and shoveling it back into my stomach. I had to have fluids shot into my face from the liposuction tool. I told my consultant ***** about my anxiety before the procedure, and she assured me that ******************* was an excellent and sensitive doctor. That was the largest deception ever perpetrated. I will beg anyone who wants to have surgery please avoid Sonobello in ********** to go somewhere else. No one wants to take your calls or chat with you about your condition or problems after the surgery is completed. I'm still in a lot of pain and can hardly walk, and the surgery was almost a month ago, and I'm still suffering from inflammation, swelling, and discomfort. I went through all of this discomfort for liposuction of my upper and lower back, as well as my upper and lower abs. My back did not receive the amount of liposuction that I had desired. I told them what I wanted several times, but when it came to surgery, they ignored me. My body was insulted and violated, and I was mistreated. I can't touch my skin because it hurts. I wish I knew about the complaints before I went through all of the pain and suffering.Sono Bello

I am very disappointed with this company. On March 25, 2023 I went to a free consultation. At the end of the consultation the individual asked if I would like to see if I qualified for credit. She explicitly stated it was a soft search and would not affect my credit. At this information I said sure. She then informed me that I qualified for credit. I said I would talk it over with my spouse to consider. Yesterday I was researching some fraudulent activity through the credit bureaus only to discover that I had a new credit account. I chased down the credit account and realized Sono Bello created a credit account in my name WITHOUT my authorization. Let me be really clear, these tactics are misleading, and highly unethical. I saw the exact same complaint of another Sono Bello elsewhere in this country so this seems to be a systemic problem versus a one time error. If this company is willing to deceptively create credit accounts without patient authorization and/or knowledge it truly makes me wonder in what other ways and areas this company is further being deceptive. Trust is paramount and you have lost mine completely. Shame on you as a company.Sono Bello

I went from being happy about my choice to mortified at what has been done to me. Every visit seem to just go from we can give your look to you were lopsided to begin with. ( a Symmetrical) Information was not being shared among the nurses to patients. Every visit I am being told something different. I just had your Doctor tell me they where told nothing. The previous Doctor who worked on me is still on the wall but not there. Only that I was unhappy to being intimidated by the practice manager ************************* while I was sitting in a robe. Even when I informed her how the tone and conversation towards me was being perceived she never chnaged. ************************* kept speaking to me as if she was the Doctor and providing me her medical opinion. The doctor didn't speak to me for more than a few minutes..never reviewed my file or anything. Holding back my tears I requested my records only to be told I couldn't get a copy of anything. Only my pictures. I had to fill out a form. I left as fast as possible trying my best not to cry while on my Army PT Uniform. If you treat an American Soldier like this(which shouldn't matter) I can image how others are treated. I already paid in full for the services. Horrifying experience and the intake nurse to witness it. No compassion at all. I wish now I had never came. All of sudden after the procedure all these medical terms and conditions become relevant. none of it was mentioned before. I would have changed my decision on the areas. The Doctor convinced me to do.more than what I originally wanted .The new Doctor didn't even review anything nor ere they told anything. I just wanted to look and feel better about myself and the Doctor and ************************* managed to make me feel worse. While you make be a big company and nothing I say or do will.make a huge difference I plan to do all that can to ensure everyone knows what I experienced at ********************************************************************.Sono Bello

Office manager is not very professional and very controlling. My sister and I scheduled our post op appt during the same time spot. Confirmed this with 3 different people and even on the day of the appt. When we arrived the manager mentioned our appts were hours apart. I explained what I was told and she just said no, that's not right. After my appt the nurse didn't have another appt but the manager made her wait to call my sister back just to prove her point Since we were there I asked if the venous tech had any cancellations and the manager said no when in fact she did and I could have been seen. A lady who had a **** appt came in at 12 and the manager told her she had to cancel because she was late. The manager never reached out to the tech to see if she could see the patient. Again just a form of control. Traffic and construction is horrible in the area.Every time I approached the manager at the receptionist desk she would ask if I needed anything with a nasty smirk on her face. I guess I was interrupting her eating at the desk which is unprofessional.I will never recommend this location because of her.Sono Bello

I am more than heartbroken! I did everything I was supposed to do, but at the final consultation a new doctor basically told me that MY procedure could be life threatening. That being her professional opinion, I was promised a complete refund of $2360 for my deposit and appx $740 for payments I have made to my finance company. I am due a lil more than $3,000, and I have not received anything. All of this happened FEBRUARY 14th, so we are almost 60 days out and not a cent! Ive been calling, leaving messages, requesting that emails are sent, etc. Each time I call, ** asked to call back later if the accounts person doesnt call me. Again, this has gone on for almost TWO months. I was initially told it could take up to 14 days, and I was quite patient. However, its been waaaay pass 14 days. Please advise. I know this isnt right, and I feel that Im being treated this way because I have been so cordial with them! You know, $3000 is a lot of money, and I certainly need mine. ??Sono Bello
