      I am writing to file a complaint against Convergent Outsourcing, **** (COI) and new account holder ********** Systems for attempting to collect on a debt that is past the statute of limitations (Section 1692c(2)(B)). The debt in question is a ******** account bill close date was10/18/2017. The Virginia statute of limitations for debt collection in my state is three years, so this debt is now uncollectible. The violation code for debt collection without validation or investigation is Section 809(a)(1) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).  

      Prior to my BBB complaint on 9/30/2023. There was no validation on investigation by the Convergent Outsourcing or ********** Systems who acquired this account on  8/19/2023 prior to them putting this on my credit report. The violation code for collection companies that fail to notify you is Section 809(a)(1) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). This section requires debt collectors to provide consumers with a written validation notice within five days of their first communication with the consumer.

      I am requesting that the Better Business Bureau reinvestigate this matter and take appropriate action against ********** Systems. I am also requesting that ********** Systems cease and desist from contacting me about this debt. I would also like them to remove the debt from my credit report.
