1 starI ordered a NEW ******* Galaxy S23 Ultra (direct from Amazon, no 3rd party). I was charged over $1,300. The phone arrived on time. When I powered up the phone, there was an error message stating that the phone was disabled by ******* due to loss/stolen/lack of payment. Amazon support was unable to assist and directed me to ******* to unlock the phone. ******* support bounce me around to multiple different departments. 2 hours later, the ******* rep ******* me that Amazon has not paid for the device. They had several other similar complaints on ******* devices purchased directly through Amazon that had not been paid for. So essentially, Amazon is openly taking money from customers and sending them devices that they do not own.I brought this information back to the Amazon rep who offered a refund and no replacement phone, but that they would hold my $1,300 for an additional business week after the phone is returned. They also want me to repackage the phone (that they don't own), find a **** and ship it back to them....ridiculous. I don't understand how this can possibly be legal.Review fromTodd D

2 starsI purchased a sewing machine through my personal Amazon account in 2017 and I needed to access the account to get a copy of the receipt. Since I last accessed this account (I use my business account primarily) I have lived in 3 different states, I have undergone colon cancer, bladder cancer, a colon resection, sepsis, open heart surgery and a heart valve transplant. I no longer have the password to this account nor do I have the original phone, bank account or credit cards used back then. My health issues caused financial chaos and I have had to start over. The Amazon **************** Rep ****** is his name) would not authenticate my account without me knowing my banking information or credit card information. I had provided old addresses, phone numbers and the complete spelling of my name but nothing else would satisfy him. I offered my social security number, my birth certificate, drivers license, mothers maiden name, a blood sample etc. but he would not accept any of it!! I asked him to escalate this to a manager and he said 'NO'. That's right he told me 'No'!! He said he is following protocol and would not let me speak to a manager. I asked him if protocol included denying customers who have requested to speak to a manager the ability to do so and he just kept saying he was following protocol. I finally said that we should not continue going in circles and that the right thing to do was to forward my call to his supervisor and he HUNG UP ON ME!! This is not acceptable and I do not believe this is Amazon's standards for customer service. I still do not have access to my account.Review fromCindy B

1 starToday was the second time in less than 3 months that Amazon tried to charge me for a "free return shipping". Is this a scam? I clearly selected free return through *** each time and my refund was short of the correct return amount by $5.99. Each time I selected the option for "more details of my return" THEN it showed that they charged me $5.99 for return shipping. Each time I had to go through a help desk and they immediately offered to refund me with an apology. But how many people don't catch it??? Is this just a way to charge and hope no one notices? 1 starI personally have been an Amazon prime member for multiple years and I just cannot believe the service has gone down hill very quickly. When I place an order I have a 50/50 chance of actually receiving it and then when I call customer service I feel as if they were starting there very first day there and have no idea on whats going on, this is even after I have given them all of the pertinent information that they requested, and it takes an actual act of congress literally to get a supervisor on the phone forget even trying to leave an email or any other kind of communication cause its not gonna get answered at all!!Review fromjacob s

1 starit all begins one night when i saw a good deal on amazon deals or a great laptop with a great price drop i was so excited to purchase this laptop because i have full trust and the value of your items, but this was the last time when i trusting you because the next day when your delivery guy showed up he handed me a package and ask me for the codes which was required for the laptop but when i opened the package i realized that i was the trade because it was a different item so i've tried to contact your customer service up to five times but of course there was no one to talk to they were just putting up their fake smiles and saying i'm so sorry but i can't help you so i have no other option just to put up a bad review for the seller so it helps and the seller contact me he writes me that he understands my pain and is willing to take responsibility and help me so once again i thought i can trust amazon but after a while i really realized there's no action being taken so i have no other option just to dispute the charge my credit card provider after a while i received an email from amazon customer service and ask me the reason why this charge is disputed i told them the whole story and we came to an agreement and then we'll let the charge being dispute so i will get back my money once again felt secure then sure and trust in amazon but that all ends in the past friday may 12th when i received the letter from a credit card provider the charge was authorized and they will remove the amount from my account i felt so angry! Why is this amazon doing?! Why aren't you holding on to an agreement?! Why are you betraying me the third time?! Is this customer service?!!! Or just fraud and lying???!!! 1 starAmazon just randomly closed my account stating I abused the terms and conditions when I have never done anything wrong and I have never had an issue until I bought this Alexa **** They wont give me a reason or show proof that I violated anything and my ***** has been talking, recording, turning on and off without me even asking and literally just told me it was ******** down and restarting at my request when I never even asked it to do anything besides play ************************* or Sza! 1 starI have the same experience of getting locked out of my Amazon account for months now and losing my gift certificate balance. Recently I was briefly locked out of my bank account. All it took was for me to go the usual 2 step authentication and get back into my account in a few seconds. With amazon that authentication by providing the code they sent to my cell phone was just the first step. I had to answer a number of security questions about all the minutiae of my account, such as what I purchased 2 months ago. It's ridiculous!I understand how you feel, ******. If I lose the account and the gift card balance for good, I will never open another account with **********************. I am sure Walmart will welcome new customers like **.
