I used to love shopping on Amazon but believe me it has become frustrating. Many guaranteed orders do not arrive on time. They have established lockers to use for pickup and return of products but you do not get any sort of receipt. My last returns were placed in a locker with codes they provide to enable doors on lockers to open but they both have vanished. So I would receive no refund until they are found. As for their gift card program, for speed and convenience I used to choose gift card for returns. I will never do that again. I made purchases using my credit card but they put a hold on my gift card balance for several days anyway even though it was not used to make the purchase so effectively they are charging me twice. The bigger Amazon gets the less attractive they become. Less customer service and more customer aggravation.

Lately the deliveries that are from Prime are late. My order that will say it's to be delivered today, never showed up. My package as been at an Amazon facility for 2 days now that's only 2 hours away from my home and no update, package is not moving. A wonky statement from Amazon for my delivery says maybe delicered today or tomorrow, if it doesn't arrive on time I can file for a refund ??

I never received two bed in a box mattresses from Amazon. I told Amazon the status stated they were being held at my local post office for pickup. I have no vehicle to pick them up. The Amazon representative said they could offer me a refund and if I were to get any emails stating to return the items, to ignore them. I got several emails requesting to return them and disregarded them. 3 months later get charged for one bed. I did a chat with Amazon stating I never received the beds. They said a specialist department will resolve my issue by email. This happened three times with generic email responses stating they're sorry I did not get my items but there is nothing they could do about a refund because it is so old. What? That is not my issue. I finally requested a call. The person on the other end told me the emails were correct. I asked to speak with a manager and she said she needs to disconnect the call and hung up on me! I permanently deleted my Amazon account, with hundreds of purchased movies, series, books, audio books etc. I lost everything. Fine. I will never do business with this crooked company again. ******* is now my goto. You created an enemy for life, with a mouth of non-recommendation for life, to everyone I speak to. Your poor seller customer service has now infected your regular customer service by outsourcing to *****.

Ordered a computer desk during Cyber Monday. Item was due to be delivered December 6th. I called Amazon the day of the delivery because the item reflected it has not shipped, even though the app shows it was due for delivery by December 6th. The Amazon agent told me the order was cancelled on their end because it was out of stock. The item was not temporarily out of stock on my end when purchased. The agent advised me to cancel the order on my end, and repurchase. If the item is temporary out of stock, Im curious as to why I would be advised to repurchase the item at the higher cost. It doesnt seem fair to suggest the customer to repurchase an item at the higher price for the same exact item thats already been ordered. How exactly does repurchasing the item at the higher cost magically put the item in stock ? Is this common practice to get additional funds from customers ? I was not notified via email/Amazon all the item was out of stock after ordering. Cancel order and repurchase at the new price and it will be delivered. Why even offer cyber Monday deals if youre just going to cancel orders and advise to purchase at the higher cost ?

Look up "Amazon hair tie scam". I was hit by this scam & immediately found other stories online. I ordered a computer power supply, shipped & sold by Amazon. NOT a third party seller. A computer power supply would be a fairly large & heavy item. What was delivered to my house was a flat padded brown envelope. The Amazon label on the outside of the package even said it should weight 6.1 lbs. Inside the package was a small white plastic baggie which contained a black elastic hair tie. The Amazon delivery driver also lied, the delivery was marked as "handed directly to resident". But we have doorbell camera footage of him dropping the delivery on the ground & running back to his van. Normally when they leave a package outside it will be marked as "left at front ***** ****** will always take a ************** it for proof of where the package was left. So it seems to me this driver might have known about the theft that was occuring because there was no other reason to lie & say the package was handed to a resident. We were all home during the delivery, he did not even ring the ************* certainly did not hand us anything in person. We reported the theft to Amazon but they made no big deal about it, they just said to return the item & get a refund. (We thought they might not waste our time having to return a hair tie, but we did). We filed an "incorrect item received" return online & chose ****** dropoff for the return. We returned the item at ******, even printed out an ****************** it back with the return. I initially did get a refund. A few weeks later I had an email saying the return was never received & that I was going to be charged again. I now have $116 charged to my card. Even if they are claiming they did not get the return, at this point we are saying a hair tie got lost, not a power supply. We have been calling, chatting, emailing Amazon CS since mid October (it is early December). They barely speak English & no refund has been given so far. Awful.

I've paid for a Prime membership for years and since they started handing my packages off to my local ***** I'm lucky if I get it. My post office will say "attempted delivery" at 8:45 in the morning when they don't run by my house until 1:30 p.m. I have to go to the post office and **** down my packages. I've asked Amazon over several years to please stop sending my packages through the postal service and they will not. It's not okay to pay for 2 day shipping and then they hand it off to my post office. My last straw today when the **** said "attempted delivery" when I've been home all day but "I can just come and pick it up myself." Amazon basically said, Oh well, that's what we use. Well, Oh well Amazon, I'm cancelling my membership!

I started really having problems when the packages were being left in my recycling bin. All the missing packages. I just had a delivery yesterday that was left in the mailbox. A sweatshirt. My mailbox locks with a key and has a tiny slit for about 3 envelopes. The best are when you buy from 3rd party sellers and you cant get a refund at all. Ive had so many broken pieces of furniturebeds, tables of all kinds. Ive had nothing but problems with them for about 2 years and its gotten so bad I cancelled my membership. Id rather shop on target or ******** Use instacart. This sweatshirt was one of the things my 6 year old son couldnt wait to get for Christmas. Thanks Amazon. Ohby the way. They dont have supervisors in customer service. Then they say ********************** delivery that day or the next. Nope. Still waiting on boots that said they were delivered on November 15th. All I can say is Ive had no problems with ******* or target or on instacart. Other sites are fine-or at least not as bad as Amazon.

Amazon has charged me twice on Multiple different items over the last 3 years. Charge once when i purchase the order and then i get charged again when it's shipped or close to shipping. Not every item, but they have robbed me of at very minimum a few hundred dollars. I have called them with this issue multiple times, and they always have a different excuse.

Amazon is dealing some shady business! They have established all these return/drop off points at various locations where you can do returns. I returned an item at a local *** store and I received my refund as soon as it was scanned in the store. 30 days later Amazon charge my account the amount back stating they havent received the item back. Why are they penalizing the customer and not the vendor who they put in charge of these returned. This has to be some type of fraud.

If I could put zero stars, I would. They've been nothing but rude, cannot keep up with shipping or delivery promises that prime members pay for, and will not fix their mistakes in a timely manner. Worse experience I've ever had dealing with customer service. Will tell you they cannot help you and expect you to be ok with the outcome of everything you ordered, well enough in advance, not being there on time. Apparently there is only one person answering customer complaints and will steadily tell their customers there is no one else to talk to. I'm not asking for a thing in return. Just that people understand who they're dealing with when paying for prime. I was told I had to pay twice for an order that was never received all because I asked for a replacement for the item that was never delivered. How is this fair?
