      I'm sad to report here after using this business for many years. They say that they pay out amounts due within 10 days. I was due $17,150.00 with 10 days of May 29, 2022. I get no response to emails now. Their phone center is shut down due to COVID but at this point if events are happening again so should their phone center. Brown Paper Tickets please pay this overdue balance!

      ************, **** (************) is a *** not-for-profit theater doing business in Brooklyn, **, producing theater under an ************************** Agreement. Brown Paper Tickets, LLC (BPT) is a ticket processing service based in *******, **********, doing business worldwide. BPT currently owes ************ all of the credit card processed box office proceeds for its musical "******** on Sondheim," which was presented in February and March of 2020. Notice of this debt was given to BPT on or about March 18, 2020. The total amount owed ************ from BPT is $6,740.00. In a June 8, 2020 email response to ************, addressed "Dear Event Organizer," BPT apologized for its extended delay in remitting payment to ************: "Please know we are doing everything we can to make this right and resolve outstanding payments and refunds as quickly as possible." However, despite repeated email requests by ************ for payment or an update on when payment can be expected, neither information nor payment have been forthcoming. There appears to be no dispute as to the relatively small debt that is due to ************ by BPT. Accordingly, the commencement of mediation, arbitration or other proceedings appears unnecessary and wasteful for both sides. However, given that this debt represents an enormous financial problem to this small not-for-profit theater company, ************ demands payment of the $6,740.00. This BBB complaint was not filed within a year of BPTs original failure to pay because we have been patiently waiting for BBT to send us the promised money. This promise extended to September 9, 2021, when we received an email requesting direct deposit information and stating: "We are very sorry for the long wait. Brown Paper Tickets is working to catch up on all overdue payments owed to event organizers, including those owed to you..." Our July 7, 2022 email to BPT referencing their September 9, 2021 email has gone unanswered.

      We are a small, non-profit dance company. We had a show on June 25, 2022 and used Brown Paper Tickets as our ticket facilitator. People purchased tickets through that site to come see our show. Brown Paper Tickets has our account information and we have yet to receive the payment. Their policy is you receive your money 10 business days after your event. Since COVID they have stopped their phone support line (which used to be awesome). Now you can only communicate through email. I emailed them on July 21 and didn't hear back so I emailed again and they responded with a case number (Case ID ******* and told me my money was being delayed. I waited about few weeks and emailed again. No one has responded and I still have not received my money. It's very upsetting and frustrating. Can you help me received the payment due to me? Thank you.

      My small business, The Elective (opened in April 2021), runs cooking & cocktail classes to the public. We post our tickets through Brown Paper Tickets. We hold these events 2-3 times per month. We are owed over $2500 from Brown Paper Tickets for a series of events dating back to May 2022. We have attempted to contact BBT via email and phone (phone lines have no live person to speak with).

      I produced an event (number *******) entitled, The Invisible Man, A Musical, June 24 July 10, 2022 at the ********************************************************** in ********, **********. I have sent numerous emails to the Brown Paper Tickets support group over the past several weeks requesting payment of $6,588 for ticket sales at my event. To date, Ive received no response from Brown Paper tickets. They promised remittance within in 10 business days from the end of the event and we are now 22 days beyond the end of the event.The ********************************************************** relies on small producers like me to rent the theater for shows in the ******** community and the delay in payment by Brown Paper Tickets is very impactful to a small theaters cash flow. I would also like to say that the ********************************************************** organization has been using Brown Paper Tickets for many years and has always had great service. However, if they refuse to pay the amount owed, all legal rights shall be explored, including, but not limited to, legal proceedings in a small claims court.

      We used Brown Paper Tickets to host an event for us on July 23rd, 2022 so we could sell tickets online. We sold over 100 tickets online to the event and are owed $2k from Brown Paper Tickets. The company indicated they would make payment within 10 business days. We are now past the 10 business days and have not received our payout amount. I've sent several emails at this time, all of which have not been responded to. Their phone number is down and does not work. I'm now noticing we are not the only ones who have dealt with this issue from this company. I don't know how they are still in business. We would really just like to get paid and have this issue resolved, so we can move on with our lives. We need that money, as a portion of it is being donated to a local preschool.

      My friend and I used Brown Paper Tickets to sell $8,085 in tickets for a live performance in *********** July *****, 2022. Despite BPT's initial assurance that we receive this money (minus handling fees) within 10 days of the end of our performances, we have still not been paid, and have received no response to our inquiries about payment. It's been 22 days since we closed, and payment is now 12 days late at the time of this filing. Most concerning is that we have received no response to our requests for information. We don't know if we are being paid late or if we will be paid at all. I have seen many other people complaining about late and missing payments from Brown Paper Tickets, and I'm hoping that we can find resolution through the Better Business Bureau.Our performance was of a show called "************************* Answers an Ad on *********** at **************** in ***********, from July *****, 2022. Our account number is ****** and we are owed ************************************* that backlogs, understaffing and overwhelm is an issue for many companies during the pandemic, but to not be paid and to not receive any response from customer service about when we can expect payment is unacceptable.

      Dear BBB,

       

      This morning I filed a complaint against Brown Paper Tickets, stating that they had failed to pay our performance group (their customers) on the agreed-upon schedule and subsequently cut off communication after we complained to them.

       

      The matter has since been resolved. BPT has sent us an email stating that they are transferring the funds we earned through their service in the next two days.

       

      Thank you for bringing my complaint to their attention. I think that's what prompted them to step up and honor their side of the bargain. Keep up the great work!

      We had a fundraising event for our non profit organization the ********************************** and uses Brown Paper Tickets for our online ticket sales. The event occurred in 6/25/2022. We were supposed to receive a balance of $1200 for ticket sales with 10 days from the end of the event. I have made several attempts to contact Brown Paper tickets by phone but all phone services are down. I have also made several attempts by email. I received the following automated email response on 7/10/2022 ref #****** and 8/08/2022 ref #******.Thank you for contacting Brown Paper Tickets.       On 3/3/2020, I purchased tickets to the event "*********************" totaling the amount of $207.24 (order #********). This event was cancelled on 3/11/2020. I contacted Brown Paper Tickets multiple time via email including on 3/17/2020 and 11/9/21 and have never heard anything back. I even signed up for their "COVID-19 response newsletter" to be kept updated on information (on 8/25/2020) - and still, I have never been contacted by anyone at BPT in an effort to refund my money, as they their website indicates they would like to do. I am beyond frustrated by this, $200 may not sound like a lot, but for me, it is and there has been no valid reason relayed to me, as to why my money has not been returned. I have followed every protocol as instructed by BPT and now, I feel I have no choice but to take this route to resolve this issue and have my money refunded.

      We are a small girls' choir in ******, **, and have been using Brown Paper Tickets as our ticketing platform for 10 years. This is the first time there has been an issue. Funds had previously been delivered within their stated 10 day turn around time. Unfortunately, this year our funds have not been delivered within the stated time frame. Our ticketing event completed a month ago, and we have yet to receive the funds. They no longer offer phone support due to Covid. The only other option on the website for communication with the company is an email address. I have tried emailing them over the past several weeks, and have yet to receive a response from anyone. We sold $1,150 in tickets in our early July event, and have yet to receive any of the funds. This money was intended for charity.
