I am a *********************, **********-based event organizer and I used Brown Paper Tickets to sell tickets a dance/music event that I hosted on August 19, 2023. It's now October 2023 and I still have NOT received compensation for my ticket sales. BPT promises to send a direct deposit payout "within 10 business days" of the event ending but they still have not delivered the money they owe to me. I notice on BBB that many others are having similar problems. I have emailed BPT multiple times and they still do NOT respond. This is extremely DISGRACEFUL and upsetting. We selected Brown Paper Tickets as our *************** in February 2023. Following ticket sales, we received an initial payment for ticket fees collected by Brown Paper Tickets on July 7th, 2023 for $1,945. Since this date Brown Paper Tickets has collected an additional $23,350.00 in ticket fees on our behalf and has not made a payment since July 7th, 2023.We have sent 5 emails between July 31st and October 2nd requesting payment with no response and no phone support is available.Per the Brown Paper Ticket policy, payment is due to us within 10 days of event. Currently Brown Paper tickets are between 86 and 25 days overdue on their payment for prior events.We are requesting that Brown Paper Tickets respond to our prior emails and provide a date that the payment will be issued.Initial Complaint

On behalf of the **************************** Company, I am filing a complaint against events.com and Brown Paper Tickets. We are still owed $2180 from events pre-covid (March 2020). After countless emails and phone calls we will have to take legal action to resolve this matter. We have been using Brown Paper Tickets for our music festival ticket sales for several years and this year have not received our payout ($1475) as promised -- 10 business days after event end, which would have been Sept. 18. Emails to support only gets an auto-reply, and no way to leave a message on the phone listed on their ******** page..we are a small nonprofit and can not afford this kind of hit.Initial Complaint

In December of 2022, our band Sol Seed Music, LLC used *** to sell online tickets for our show, and 9 months later, the ticket sales totaling $1230 has not yet been deposited into our account. Clearly, we are not alone in this issue. BPT is clearly a fraudulent org and should be held accountable for their unethical business practices. We organize an annual afternoon concert in our area to raise money which we donate to local charitys. We donate all of the proceeds above costs. We do not take a profit of any kind. We have used this agency in the past with no problems. It usually takes a week or two to get our money from ticket sales.Our event was August 12. Not only have we not gotten our money but there is no avenue for communication. We see from our endeavors to reach them that we are not alone.We are, admittedly, a very small event in a very small community but our community depends on events like ours to help combat the addiction problem that our youth are struggling with.I the I heard somewhere in our search for an actual human being that Brown Paper Tickets had changed hands. I used Brown Paper Tickets to be a payment platform for a private event on September 16, 2023. The amount collected was $3,060.00 and payment was to be paid 10 days after the event ended. I have not been paid and have contacted customer service via email with only automated responses. There is no working phone number available. In my research regarding this issue, I find that Brown Paper Tickets has been aquired by events.com in 2022. I have filled out the acquisition form from events.com and was given a case number followed by yet another automated response. We are a small non-profit dance company and have used Brown Paper Tickets for many years for our performances and education shows. We never had a problem receiving funds until this Spring and Summer. We had an issue in March that took two months to resolve, but then we were paid very quickly for a show in May. We thought the company had finally worked out the kinks and so we used BPT again in August. Its been two months and we still have not been paid the $4290 owed. I know that does not sound like a lot for some, but we are unable to pay our dancers and still owe theater fees. I have tried contacting BPT and Events, but I am unable to get anything but an automated email response. This is robbery and needs to stop. they should not be allowed to take on more customers if they cannot fulfill their end of the contract!
