I sold my car to someone who hasn't put it in their own name yet. The new owner of the car got a parking ticket on 9/20/2023, but the car is still in my name. I told Diamond parking this and sent them documentation from the *** that they requested. They said they would take care of it and I wouldn't receive anymore correspondence from them. After 4 phone calls and one last correspondence saying that it's now in their collection department. I'm finding it difficult for them to process this to the correct individual who now has the vehicle. Can you please help me to get them to follow through on this and stop sending me bills and take it out of collections in my name? I don't have a scanner so I can't scan my documents. I mailed them all the documents they've asked for.Business Response

Went to a venue on Market Street with a large open parking area adjacent to the building. Saw no posting for parking nor anywhere to pay for parking. Looked like all people attending the venue parked in the large lot. Found a parking notice for an excessive fine of $65 for less than three hours parking attached to my windshield wiper. Notice Reference was #**********. Went online to dispute the notice but their software only allows you to dispute it you have already paid their notice. It also has a $30 late fee attached if you don't pay within 15 days. I believe this practice to be deceptive and predatory. I also believe this company is nationwide and does the same thing to customers throughout the country based upon online complaints.Business Response

Ive been paying for 10 hours every Monday-Wednesday for school since my school doesnt provide parking. I drive already over a hour to get to school. Today I paid for the maximum 10 hours it will let me do for the day at 7:25 am. My school is 8:00am to 6:30 pm but the release us at 6:25pm. I get to my car and have a 65$ ticket issued at 6:26 pm. Ive already paid for a ticket Ive gotten from this company. I dont deserve another ticket. I cant stress enough how difficult it is to find reasonable parking in *******. I cant work that many hours due to school. And barely can afford the cost of living and the expense of paying for gas and 16$ ticket 3x a week, on top of a 65$ ticket. Please cancel this ticket.Business Response

On 2/2/24 I parked in a lot managed (owned?) by Diamond. I attempted to pay for 2 hours using their on site kiosk. Entered my license plate # and the number of hours. System asked for "Validation Code." No signage explaining how to obtain that was visible to me. I attempted to "Cancel" the transaction to try another method but the system then shut down for 5 minutes (there was a sign that would happen). Unable to wait longer I went to my meeting. When I returned to my car I had a Payment Notice for $41.50 if paid in 15 days or $73 if paid later. I think the rate on the sign for 2 hours would have been $4 but I'm not certain of that. In my opinion, the company made it impossible for me to comply with their original charge and then assessed me an outrageous "fine" for not complying.I called and was offered a reduced charge of $8.68 (plus some fees I expect). My colleague that had the same experience at the same time with his car was charged over $16 for the exact same situation. I told the company I would pay the amount I owed based upon the signage at the lot but they refused that offer. That the company's payment system did not work is not my problem and I find their proposed resolution completely inadequate.Business Response

I was visiting my family who were staying in Sonder The Revival in ********* on 26th January, ****. The pay station machine on the premises (operated by Diamond Parking Ltd) was not functioning properly, and despite my attempts with five different cards, it consistently declined my payment. Unfortunately, while dealing with this inconvenience, my car received a ticket. To exacerbate matters, when attempting to pay for parking through the online app, I encountered further issues. The app lacked an option to pay $23 until 10 am the next day, forcing me to pay $32.65, a considerable difference from the price displayed on the malfunctioning machine. This situation is not only frustrating but also unacceptable. After paying for the overcharged parking, I then proceeded to file an appeal with Diamond Parking Ltd, who then declined my appeal despite the fact that I have provided proof of their parking machine not working, and the actual overcharged payment after, then proceeded to blame me for not having my cards ready for payments even though I had 5 different credit cards that was working, but the machine just wouldnt accept any payment. I am deeply disappointed by the overall experience with the parking lot. This has been the most unsatisfactory accommodation and parking encounter I have ever had in this country.Business Response

This ticket Reference # ********** (attached) was issue for parking area ***** Diamond Parking.Upon entering the parking area for this business/building located in ******************* Address: ***************************************************************, Phone: **************, I noted my stall number (****) and looked around as I walked through both the parking area and building for signs/information about how to pay or register to park. No information / signage was posted on P1 or P2 or at the building entrances (or inside the business areas). Upon arriving at the business (I was accompanying a friend to the business) we discussed the parking situation with the business owner and learned some 30plus minutes later that we needed to (1) download a Parking app; (2) enter zone information (also not posted anywhere in the building area in which I walked); (3) enter charge card info. Both my my friend and I did so immediately.Upon returning to my car I found this ticket. This business practice is highly unfair and borders on unethical. How does Diamond expect the driver to understand the parking process without posted info in an obvious and transparent manner. I will not return to this business. I will avoid Diamond parking in every possible situation.Business Response

I parked in a Diamond Parking Lot with clearly stated signs of 2 hour parking. I purchased food with the grocery/deli located in the parking parameters and the grocer didn't offer a receipt. I was back before the 2 hour time limit and had a ticket for $65.50. They gave me 15 days to pay or dispute. I looked at my bank statement today and I still don't see the charge on my account. Since the businesses pay to have the lot maintained by diamond, this seems like a scam where they won't put the charge through my account until day 16 when I won't be able to have proof to dispute. I called my bank and was told to report this to the police as this seems like a scam. How am I supposed to show that I was within the rules posted on the parking sign and shouldn't have been charged?Business Response

Hello,
Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future. We need a little more information in order to research this complaint further. Can you please provide the notice number, the license plate provided on the receipt is not listed in our system, this is often because the plate entered on the receipt is different than the plate on the vehicle. You can send it to me directly at ****************************************** As soon as this is received, I can review your specific appeal. Thank you.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have added the proof in a picture of my checking account when the charge went through my account on 2/7. You will see the delayed withdrawal noted and I asked the bank why it says the 16th when this happened on the 15th and the bank noted it was due to the Holiday. This proves my purchase in the lot that I was parked in for under two hours as listed on the sign.

A ticket I received in error on 11/14/24 (I paid to park in that location and I have the receipt) has accrued a late fee. The Diamond parking office is forcing me to pay the entire ticket of 50$, despite them acknowledging the validity of my original receipt. I'm distraught after spending a week arguing with them. I've written a letter to the judge/city and been told, that until it becomes a trial, I must settle the bill with diamond parking. They will not provide me with an explanation or options for reimbursement.Business Response

Thank you for the opportunity to look into this matter. After reviewing the notice received by the parking customer, we were able to determine that the license plate numbers were transposed by the customer when entering license plate information into the parking meter, which resulted in receiving a parking notice.
Unfortunately, we must follow city code and city policy regarding timelines for the formal appeal process. In this case, I contacted our City Official at the ***************, explained the situation, and asked for an exception to the rule. That City Official authorized us to take care of this citation for the parking customer despite the citation being older than 30 days. The citation will be voided.
Thank you for being a patron of the ******* parking lots.

Diamond parking employee # *** Printed a ticket and placed it under my windshield wipers. I had initially with there to just pick up a friend from the build but had to use the washroom quickly. upon returning to the vehicle ( may be parked for 5min or less mins) we has employee #*** taking a picture of my vehicle. Me, My friends ****** and ********* had called for employee#*** and explained the situation. Employee #*** then said they would void the charges and cancel the ticket, therefore he had taken the ticket back and was no longer on my person or personal belongings. Employee #*** took the ticket on Oct 21, 2023. Now on Dec 11th 2023, I received a final notice tell me my ticket (that was voided by employee#*** ) has been sent to collections. My friend did not register my vehicle within the lot because we never intend to stay parked there. I was just waiting for a friend then she suggested running upstairs with her to use the washroom. I think it's unfair to teach a younger ethnic female with such disrespect and disgrace. I have left the Companies city manager ********************* and never heard back regarding the situation. After speaking with ***********************, and notify the BBB has be contacted. She reduced the ticket from $120 to $80. there fear of BBB getting involved must forced then to take action but the $80 is incorrect as well. specially giving the disrespected and horrible customer ********************** experience. I was told by their employee #*** that no longer have a ticket. I also have 2 witness that validate my story. I would just like this to be resolved and hope Diamond parking learns better customer ********************** skills. I do not want to pay anything to such a ***** and rude company the attacked me and my innocents.Business Response

Hello,
The notice is valid. Parking in a paid parking lot for any amount of time without paying is a risk that you run for being ticketed and/or towed. The notice is valid. You stated you didnt receive it, that you were in the vehicle, that you went to the washroom, and that the patroller ripped it up. The photos show no one in the vehicle, the vehicle not running, a ticket on the windshield. Also the tickets do not tear and the patrollers are not permitted to make any cancellations. After speaking to you on Jan 17th, I had agreed to, as a one-time courtesy that you accepted, reduce the notice down to the original amount. You said you were not given the opportunity to pay it, so I presented that option once more. That had a deadline of Jan 22nd. There was no payment made. I would also like to advise you that there has since been another notice issued to your vehicle at the same location for failing to pay on Jan 19th. Without proof of payment this notice will also stand as valid.

I am rejecting this response because:The ticket from Oct was taken by your their employees.. I had no way to pay the ticket when taken by someone else. I have 2 witnesses that were with me as well and could testify the employee took the ticket. What they did with it, I had no idea. I was under the impression the ticket was voided as promised by the employee. They said they sent a follow up warning before mailing the final notice to notify me my ticket has been sent to collections. I NEVER received a notice/ warning or even provided a ticket number or amount to pay. Then on Jan 19th, I went to visit the same friend and I made sure to ask her to register my car for the visitor lot and she said she did. When I returned to my vehicle with her we saw the ticket on the windshield and my friend and her boyfriend said they would take care of it. As they said they had registered me for the visitor lot, therefore I didnt have to make a payment as my vehicle was registered!
I personally feel attacked by this company! I have tried to explain the situation and handle his personally and they have been super unprofessional and accusing me of lying. I did not receive the ticket in October and I was registered on the Jan 19th. I asked them to check the security cameras they told me they didnt have to, it was my problem now because its been given to collections. They literally have all the proof they need in the system and they are not willing to look or resolve the issue in a professional matter. This is the last time I will repeat myself to this company!
My friend and I were in the car and then had called my other friend that we were waiting for. I expressed my need to use the washroom, due to personal health issues, so she told me to come up use the washroom and then wed leave right after. So I did.. I turned off the vehicle, left it in the visitor lot used the washroom and return to the vehicle with my 2 friends to find a ticket on my windshield. We say the employee placing the ticket on other vehicles near by so we called for their attention. Explained the situation and the ticket was taken by the employee. What happen after that with the ticket or the 2 notice they apparently sent which I never received, I honestly do not know. The only form of contact I received was a notice that my ticket has been sent to collections. Thats it I was not given a ticket it was taken by the employees. I was not sent a notice other than the final notice telling me my things been sent to collections Im unhappy and I just want this resolved. I should not have to pay for October 2023 or for January ****, as I was registered as a visitor in the visitor lot.
Sincerely,
