This company manages paid parking lots in ******. They provide a phone app to submit purchases and provide validation codes. I paid for parking as instructed by the instructions at the lot, with the expectation that the restaurant we were visiting would validate the parking so that there was no cost. After purchasing our food, we were provided the validation code, which I added to the phone app. The phone app did not apply a discount, it actually showed a higher price for the parking, however according to my bank statement it only did charge the orignal amount.Business Response

I was parked at a ******* in downtown *******. I was at the parking meter i thought was for the lot and was ticketed as I was at the meter paying. They claim I had walked off the property but the tricked time and my meter receipt are at the exact same minute. I contacted the store who said they would dismiss the ticket. I can not however get a hold of the company whos phones are set to busy 24/7 to see if the ticket has been dismissed. This company has a history from all reviews of predatory ticketing that is down right fraudulent and dismissing or not responding to disputed tickets. This company should have their ability to run a company revoked. I would like a written/emailed notice that the ticket has been dismissed.Business Response

***************** has no or insufficient signage regarding parking fees and payment. Most of the beaches in the area do NOT charge a parking fee so it is not to be expected. Diamond Parking left a parking ticket during our rather short (about 1 hr) stop at this beach. My emailed complaint received no response. When making a phone complaint I was placed on hold repeatedly and accused of intentionally not paying the fee despite my repeated explanation that neither my partner nor I saw signage or we would have paid being conscientious citizens. This seems quite a racket they have going, particularly when I learned their parking tickets are usually $65. It's to their benefit not to sufficiently alert users of the need to pay to park.Business Response

I was at ************* in ******* **************** T1Y 5T4 on November 21. I parked at approximately 10:35 AM I got out of my car and walked straight into The Bay. When I came out about 11:55 I had a parking ticket for $80.00 from Diamond Parking. On the ticket it says Customer ******************** only Walked off. Ticket time is 11:49. I made a purchase at 11:41 AM at The Bay. When I called to dispute the ticket the man who answered the phone was very rude and told me I was seem leaving the parking lot. (this is not true as I did not go off the lot) I sent in and appeal and it was denied.Business Response

Hello,
First, I want to state that this location is private property,and all parking rules have been created by the property owners. Diamond Parking has been hired to enforce these parking rules as posted on the property due to the unauthorized use on the facility. One of the rules posted is that you are not permitted to leave the property without your vehicle, or you can be ticketed and/or towed. This is one of the terms and conditions posted on the sign you took a picture of and submitted in your appeal. You can park for free only while conducting business on the property. Once you leave the lot you are in violation. Specifically in your case, you were witnessed by our patroller leaving the lot which put you in violation, as stated on signage, and the patroller is contracted to immediately issue a notice. I do see the receipt from The Bay for before the ticket was issued. I have taken into consideration this being the only ticket on this plate, I have reduced the notice as a one tome courtesy to $30. To proceed with this courtesy, you may contact the Customer ********************** department at ************ and quote your reference number. This will hold on your account until Dec 6th, 2023 at 5pm. Enjoy the rest of your week!

I am rejecting this response because:I received a message from *********************** at Diamond Parking. She states that I took a picture of the sign and submitted it. This is not true. I only submitted my ticket and my receipt. She also states that I was witnessed by a patroller leaving the lot. This is a false statement. I never left the lot. I feel that my constitutional rights have been violated. I have been accused of a crime I did not commit. Apparently it is the patrollers word against my word. Please show me evidence that I left the lot. I posted my wrong accusation on social media. Several people commented that Diamond Parking also gave them tickets they did not deserve. If this ticket is not cancelled I am going to the police. Please send me evidence that you have cancelled this ticket.

On Nov 22 2023 I parked my car at lot location SD004-*************** in Pacific Beach I paid through the park mobile app. As this was a new car I made sure I got out of the car and entered my license plate number, I double checked it and submitted the payment. The payment processed and I received an email confirmation. When I got back to my car I had a notice that I did not pay. the reference number on the notice is *********. I immediately called the number on the notice. Granted I was upset over receiving the notice , however the representative was rude and condescending but, did explain the hoops I had to jump through to dispute the fee. 1. send a copy of the receipt via email 2. reference the notice 3. send a screen shot of the transaction I felt the receipt should be sufficient so I called back to speak with a supervisor and I got the same story. When I got home, I forwarded the receipt via email along with an explanation of the situation. Also for security reasons my bank will not allow me to take a screen shot of the transaction, so I included the last four digits of the debit card I used to pay with. Nov 23 was a holiday, but I did expect a response or at least an acknowledgement that my dispute was received and under review. I have not received anything from this company. My other issue is this company treats you as though you are a "Parking Criminal" and are trying to play them for free parking. I am not, there was an issue with the app, I paid for the parking, and I have no intention of paying again. Their customer ********************** is noticeably lacking, I feel as though they are trying to take advantage of me to make extra money. I will at all costs try to avoid their parking lots in the future.Business Response

On October 7, 2023, I visited ******* at Northill Mall for Thanksgiving dinner preparations. Simultaneously, my daughter attended a nearby volleyball event. Minutes later, I discovered a parking ticket. Following on-site dispute procedures, I submitted photos and receipt, receiving instant confirmation. However, over a month later, I received a late payment notice. Upon contacting their dispute department, they disputed the timestamp on my photos. Despite clarification, they asserted I hadnt agreed to terms during the online appeal, citing it as the basis for denial. Moreover, they claimed a one-appeal limit per notice. This rigid stance, communicated as final, seems ethically questionable, given my adherence to the dispute process and the validity of my proof. I received a ticket on Nov 12, 2023 when I parked to pickup something at downtown. When I parked, I tried to scan the ** code a few time to pay but it keep on appear error message. After a few try and I went to the shop next by the parking spot and got my stuff within 5 mins. When I back from my car , I saw the ticket and a pedestrian told me that there is a guy ticketed my car right after I left my car. I got offended by the ticket and the action that your company intentionally want to ticket someone, which I have tried to scan your code for payment a few times already. It is your system's fault and I got punished for your error ? I have submitted an appeal, and you just replied "Appeal Denied" with no reason support. this parking scam is a scheme. they have different posted signs that say different things. one sign says 60 minute limit. one sign says pay to park with a scan on your phone. and other sign say parking is safe.Business Response

I parked in a private lot for less than 2 hours. The lot signage says parking is free for up to 3 hours if you register with Diamond Parking through the ParkMobile app. The app informed me parking in that lot was free and no payment was necessary. Upon returning to my car I had received. a $63 fine for not registering for free parking. I tried to register - the app wouldnt allow anything other than payment which it said was not required. Totally unethical if not criminal to fine for free parking.Business Response
