I was fined for parking violation for staying three minutes extra in the spot, WHILE I WAS paying for additional time. I submitted a dispute online within the dispute timeframe (with photo evidence, receipts, etc.). They did not respond to me after one week, so I sent the same information again via email, after already submitting it in their online dispute portal. A month later I receive an email that says my fine has been reduced, not dismissed. They don't tell me in the email what my fine has been reduced to or when it is due. TWO DAYS later I login into the portal to pay the reduced fine and the ticket has been doubled to $106 fine. I call the center and I have been on hold for well over 20 minutes. How can they take 4+ weeks to provide a response to my appeal, but unless I pay it that day, I will be charged double the original ticket? Especially, when the email sent does not indicate the timeframe in which the reduced fine must be paid.

I parked in a Diamond Parking lot on Sunday, 6/11/2023 at 1:36PM PST. Attempted to pay by the posted QR code and was instructed that payment was not needed until 5PM PST and payment would not be accepted until 3PM PST. I have included relevant photos and screenshots for Diamond Parking in this complaint. I returned later to find a ticket on my vehicle. The ticket was written at 1:57PM PST 6/11/2023. Why should I receive a ticket for failure to pay when their own system refuses to accept my payment and explicitly states that payment would not be required at that specific time? Ive had several discussions with Diamond Parking. Every time theyve told me they would get back to me they have not. The last time I called (today, 6/21/2023) I was told the ticket had been reduced to around $25. Why should Diamond Parking demand payment when they are the ones potentially committing fraud here? I will not pay their reduced fraudulent ticket amount, as I do not owe them a cent. After repeated attempts to get this resolved without public interference, and repeated failures to resolve by Diamond Parking, Ive chose to start my public complaints here. Hoping this can be resolved without further issue.

I am rejecting this response because:

My name is not *********. How do I know this is a truthful response to my genuine complaint? Do I still have to pay this wrongful citation or is it just ********* who is off the hook?

Also, there is no signage at this lot which reflects your response. You say its for church parking until 2PM, but the screenshots provided state that payment is not accepted until 3PM? And where is the sign on the lot which states these rules?

Another example of a poorly managed operation which clearly does not care for its customers.

      Sincerely,

i will not be paying this ticket and will be going to the media and my lawyer as this was a completely unfair decision by this company for a 17 year old who was willing to pay but does not and can not pay by credit card as it is illegal for him to obtain one. No where on this site before entering does it specify that it is credit card only .
he did not stay because he could not pay by credit card and was still handed a ticket for $80 which has now turned into $111 ticket

      Hello,

The location in question offers various payment types as indicated on the posted signage (pay station, Scan to Pay,ParkMobile & Pay by Phone). All of which in fact do have the large stickers of payments accepted logos on them. I previously attached photos of a couple of the signs for reference. The notice was issued for failure to pay for parking again, there is no age restriction for such an infraction this similar to any driving infraction or a municipal parking stall for anyone in care and control of their vehicle, in turn, the responsibility would fall on the registered owner. The owner of this property does not offer free public parking. If a person operating a vehicle does not have an acceptable payment, accessibility to a card or account of an alternate individual is required in order to occupy a paid space at this facility. When the patroller arrives at the lot.  He runs reports on the machine and parking apps to retrieve list of plates and any plate not on list and is parked must be issued ticket.  This vehicle was not on list so it was issued ticket. As previously stated, Diamond Parking will not assist individuals engaging in threatening exchanges with support staff. Also, a one-time courtesy reduction to match the daily parking rate of the location by Jul 4th, 2023 was previously offered but ignored. This is why you received a past due letter. If you want to proceed with an extended courtesy to the daily rate, you may contact me directly at *************************************** .  Thank you!

HE WALKED BACK TO HIS/MY CAR AND WAS MET WITH A SECURITY PERSON WHO WROTE HIM A TICKET EVEN AFTER HE EXPLAINED HE WAS ONLY THERE FOR 1 MINUTE AND WAS GOING TO LEAVE SINCE HE DID NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD TO PAY. THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION AND NO SIGNS STATING CREDIT CARD ONLY. HE KNEW IT WAS PAY PARKING THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE. A SECURITY GUARD WHO TAKES THIS PARKING TO A NEW LEVEL WHEN A 17 YEAR OLD CLEARLY OFFERS TO PAY AND COULD HAVE JUST LEFT SINCE HE WAS ONLY THERE FOR THE **** HE WALKED TO THE METER AND BACK. CLEARLY SOMEONE USING THERE POSITION TO BULLY A KID. MY SON NOR MYSELF WILL PAY THIS TICKET AND WILL SEE DIAMOND PARKING IN COURT.

I went to my daughter's graduation and parked here. I waited 20 minutes in line to pay for parking, but when I arrived, the parking machines wouldn't accept payment. This was the same for all cars. When we came out, we had a ticket, but so did everyone around us. This seemed deliberate. I would have paid, but the machines were all down. This is not good business. I will be happy to pay the original parking amount, but it cannot be a fault of mine that the machines were down.

My family and I went out to lunch to eat at a local restaurant on 6/17/23 . We have been there many times before and have always parked for free in the garage at Elements WH142. There has always been signage warning against parking there for parties who are not frequenting one of the establishments within, and parking has always been free for those who do.We went in to eat for an hour and came out to find that Diamond Parking had now issued us a 'ticket' for not registering for the free period. This was never the case before in the garage, and the small print on the signage made it hard for us to know anything had changed. There were four of us, and none of us saw anything different. This was very upsetting. The parking apparently was still free, but because we didn't register it somewhere online, they charged us $66.50! This is incredibly predatory. We were there for a short time and had no idea anything like this was going on. I saw tons of 'tickets' on other cars too, and I suspect they were all unaware customers. The issue is not limited to **, to the point where this feels like a deliberate money-making scheme to prey on people who park there. Unbelievable that this is going on! I tried calling Diamond Parking, but no one answers their phone. They do not even offer business hours in their pre-recorded message, so who knows if I will ever even get to speak to someone about this. Our reference number is #**********. I want to find a way to address this, but there seem to be no good options available to me. What an awful way to do business.

We appreciate your feedback and will look into ways of adding and adjusting our current signage to be more visible to future customers.

We have voided the notice # ********** and no further action is necessary. We hope this doesnt discourage you from using any Diamond Parking lots in the future and again apologize for the bad experience and inconvenience.

I paid for the ticket and there was a mishap of time zones and as mentioned above. Please let me know the alternatives to resolve this issue. I am also confused my these signs posted by the city as well and this Diamond parking is taking advantage of public confusion. Business Response

      Hello,

First, I want to state that this location is private property, and all parking rules have been created by the property owners.  Diamond Parking has been hired to enforce these parking rules as posted on the property due to the unauthorized use on the facility. The particular lot is pay parking.  While I appreciate the mishap, all vehicles must have valid payment at all times while parked on the facility or they are subject to being ticketed and or towed.  Once the patroller runs the reports he tickets all plates that are not paid. With this being private property and not City property, this means that we are not government funded, so the rates for tickets are higher in comparison. Unfortunately the notice that was issued was valid.  I do apologize if you feel these rules and upheld appeal were explained rudely during the appeals process.  This will be reviewed internally.  Thank you!

      Hello,
*************** to complaint ********. I have looked into this and it looks like ****************** paid using ParkMobile according to the documentation he sent. He must have entered the zone as 22 instead of ****, which is on the kiosk by mistake as he was parked in SPACE 22. I have attached a photo of the website when you select 22 as a zone. It reflects as *********. I then selected **** for your review, this shows as **************, which is correct. As you can see there was no glitch in the system, this was a user error which resulted in the plate not showing the car was permitted to park in the lot. So a ticket was issued.
This has been reduced to $16.50 down from the $41.50, that was the original fee as the owner of this lot was not compensated for the time the vehicle was parked.

I parked at a Diamond Parking lot on May 21 (I think), Reference number is **********. My friend used the scan (photo) link to pay for the parking. I had a ticket when we got back to my car an hour later. It said it was for lack of payment and was a $65 ticket. I disputed the charge about a week later on May 30 (well within the 15 days before the charge would go up to $100). I had not paid the fine.It took the company more than a week to get back to me (they got back to me on June 9) and said they had no record of payment and, by the way, the charge was now $100 because it was more than 15 days. They want a receipt. My friend does not live here and paid with her phone so it is difficult to get a receipt. Please help.
