I was using the parking application to pay for a spot. The application payment processing looked fine and the payment indicated that it was "Done". When I returned I found a ticket for 6X the initial parking price. When I checked the application again, the payment again looked fine on the application with no error state on the user interface or a message that it had failed. This is a predatory business practice that allows them to ticket customers that use their application.Business Response

The location was not clearly marked. We checked over and over again, and we were confused because the area we parked did not have any marking or an indication there was to be a charge. We were not parked there long at all and came out to this notice. We were not parked anywhere near where the payment is required. There should be notices in each parking section, as well as numbered parking so that we could know we needed to pay for our area. Please consider better signage and numbered parking spaces to make it fair and ethical. I have attached a picture of where I parked, and it is not marked or indicated that I had to pay. I have more pictures, but I cant attach them to this form. Please dismiss this ticket as I cannot afford to pay it. Thank you, *****************************Business Response

I parked in the lot in ******** near where the boat tours go out, I think it was maybe $2 per hour. Our excursion left late, so we returned late to a ticket for $51.50. This amount is ***************** - and considering that we immediately left and another car parked and paid for the spot, why such ******** price gouging? I could see charging a high amount if the car was there for the entire day - it was not. Now I go to pay it and because it's over 15 days out, it's up to $80??? Thoroughly disgusting to charge such a high amount - and I am sure most victims of this are vacationing travelers. Actual parking violations cost less than this private company ticket - this is price gouging gone wild. Disgusted beyond belief that this practice is allowed.Business Response

This happened in *******. The ticket issuer issued a ticket while I went at ************************** to grab something. He even put the wrong quadrant (NW instead of NE) on ticket. I sent in the receipt, of the product I bought from a ***************** (which had day time time still set to winter, unfortunately). I was told I was there was more than an hour in the reply email. I called to explain the situation, and told them to call the restaurant to confirm their clock is wrong, the guy started yelling. Kept repeating "you broke the law" I was like "excuse me?" He says "you are not excused, this conversation is over" and hung up. I wasn't rude to him at all. Luckily he was hiding behind the phone, or this is something made me quite upset. The company need better transparency and customer **********************. I will be boycotting the shops that use these people, and wont stand behind their customer against their scam. Diamond parking service ******* ** issued me a ticket in error as I was parked on an adjacent parcel of land to one they have a contract to monitor. The picture they have on the ticket clearly shows me parked at ******* **** and I sent them a photo from the front of the lot to clarify this to anyone unfamiliar with the area. I sent in a dispute claim and followed up by email but the company is still demanding a payment that is not due and refuses to discuss to work out this simple error by their employee stepping over the curbs which clearly seamark the property line behind ************* last email to them was You have a contract to monitor ******* **** which is adjacent to the lot where I was parked. The yellow curbs on the right of this photo show the edge of where you have a valid reason to ticket. My original dispute photo shows the address of the building I was parked at. No payment is due.Business Response

On April 30 2023, I parked my car at a parking lot near *********************, and I paid the fee for 2 hour parking and just around 10 minutes late back to my car. I got a payment notice(reference# **********) from Diamond parking service that I need to pay $65.50 because of no advanced payment if paid within 15 days, $102.00 if paid after 15 days. I don't think this is a reasonable charge. I've send dispute to the email address they provided **************************************************** but didn't get response.Business Response

Diamond Parking Services has reviewed this complaint and the appeal she submitted directly to us.
The customer did pay for their **********************, for a two-hour period. However, parking continued after the two-hour time frame expired which resulted in the notice she received. We have reviewed this and will reduce the original notice amount to only the parking owed specific to the extended time, plus fees associated with the notice. A total of $10.24 is currently due.
The customer will be emailed this information today, in response to their direct appeal.

I parked in one of the parking lots and left my car for 3 minutes trying to make a quick purchase in a store. There was no other parking in the area at that time, so I had to park there for a couple of minutes. When I got back after 3 minutes, there was already a parking ticket on my windshield. Clearly, someone was watching me and gave me a ticket as soon as I left my car. This is very inhumane. I tried to explain to the manager that I was in a hurry and didn't know how to use the phone payment method. They kept saying no. So a 3 minutes park equals 65 dollars.Business Response

I am writing to dispute the parking ticket that I received from Diamond parking on 4/17/23 in Lot Location A396 - *************************************. The ticket reference number is #**********. The lot in question is shared with a business, ****'s Hamburgers, which I was patroning at the time of the ticket. Apparently the lot is free for customers for part of the day and then turns into a paid lot at night. Unfortunately, the signage is unclear and I had no idea I was parked in a paid spot and not a free-for-customers spot. The signage says, "Paid parking for stalls ***** after 4pm Monday-Friday, all day sat-sun. All other times reserved for ****'s drive-in patrons." Unfortunately, none of the stalls are actually labeled so I had no idea I was parked in stall #*****. It is absolutely predatory to state that an unmarked stall is in fact #***** after the fact. Before I went into the restaurant, I made note that my stall was not marked #***** so to my understanding I was in a free space. I was inside the establishment for less than 5 minutes ordering my food and then returned to my car to find this ticket. As soon as I noticed the ticket, I took photos to show that my car is parked in a stall that is not labeled #*****. I have attached those photos for reference as well as a photo of my credit card statement showing my purchase at Dicks on 4/17/22. Had the spaces been marked, I absolutely would have parked in the free for customers spot, not in a paid spot. I do not think I should be made to pay $65.50 for parking in an unlabeled spot. Not having the parking stalls clearly labeled (or labeled at all) is an error on the part of the company, not mine. I reached out to Diamond via email the very next day to dispute my ticket. It has now been 10 days since I initiated my dispute and I have had zero response from them. This also feels very predatory because according to Diamond, the ticket will increase to $102 if not resolved within 15 days. Please help me with a resolution.Business Response

I received a parking ticket in ****, ****** on Friday, 4/21/23 from Diamond Parking Service. The time of notice was 4:01 pm, and my paid receipt, which was emailed to me upon payment, showed that I was paid through 4:30. I immediately called the number on the ticket, which was a sales pitch for low-cost insurance (I kid you not) with a quick "grab a pencil to write down the new phone number" message at the end. My husband called the number, which is also listed on the Diamond website. There was no answer. He left a message asking for a return call, which never happened. I called the other **** number listed on the website 4/24/23 - left a detailed message and asked for a call back to resolve the bogus ticket. Again, no response.I have filed a dispute with Diamond. This feels like a money grab on their part. Very disappointed in their lack of professionalism and ethics.Business Response
