They charged me $65 because I apparently touched the line and according to them impacted two parking stalls. I was visiting one of the businesses that supports them for 30 minutes and there were maybe six or seven cars in this close to empty parking lot. After sending them a complaint, they didnt get back to me within 15 days . I then call them to discuss and a grumpy representative told me my fee was now $102. Unbelievable. Beware of Diamond Parking and especially the parking attendant who works in the large parking garage by ************ (********) in *******.

Today, February 4, 2023, I used the 2-hour free parking in the Diamond Parking Lot near the *****************************. I didnt realize I spent just over 2 hours shopping (Id upload receipts but didnt get any as it was a market). I was only 20 minutes over - the ticket was issued at 1:50 pm and I was back at my car at 2:10 pm. My ticket is $80, which is ridiculous. It was 20 minutes! I am rarely in the area so have never parked at the lot before.

In ******-**** ******, we parked in a lot behind the restaurant we had reservations for that evening. When we returned, Diamond Parking Service had placed a parking violation notice fining us $56.50. The comment on the violation stated "Parking lot for the ****************** only not Coconut Grove or *********. " In fact, we were eating in a restaurant in the ******************. Whoever placed our violation did it randomly and arbitrarily, and it was up to us to dispute their accusation. I filed a dispute and it was denied as I'd not attached a credit card or receipt that we'd eaten there. I subsequently tried to do that and there is no way to email them regarding a specific reference number once they deem the dispute denied. So, I have printed out credit card receipts and am mailing it to them. Going online we have discovered that this is a perennial issue with this obviously unethical company. They are taking advantage of tourists and local residents as well.

Thank you for contacting us regarding your legitimate parking notice.

Upon review, we see that you received this notice whilst parked at Diamond Parking location at the *****************.  The documents you provided do not allow us to void your notice as it is not receipts from any of the tenants in our plaza.

This location allows for 2 hour parking per 24 hour period, while patronizing any of the tenants of the plaza and has no in and out privileges as parking is limited.  The parking lot is privately owned and operated.  By parking your Vehicle you agreed to the terms and conditions posted.

The parking lot serves ***************** and NOT ************************** which is where ********* is located.

The property is also separated by chain link fence, along with multiple signage indicating the designated parking area is strictly for *****************.
Where your vehicle was parked, was directly across from one of the largest signs that would inform you of that.

There is also a very large directory sign both entrances off ********** and ***************.

The terms and conditions are posted within the lot and within the shopping/business/tenants area of *****************, including at the entrances.   For future reference any of our tenants would have validated your parking.

Unfortunately, due to the above, we are unable to void the legitimate parking notice as we indicated to you previously, however we contacted the property agent and although all their efforts to inform the public of the parking terms were not clear to you that day, they have agreed to void this notice as a one-time courtesy.

      Hello,

Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
This location is private property and has the parking rules posted.  It is to be monitored at the request of the property manager, and Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location faces due to unauthorized use.  I have reviewed your ticket and see it was issued for unauthorized parking as you were parked and left the property without your vehicle.  This is not permitted for any amount of time as per the signage. The reason your appeal was denied, was you documentation did not have a timestamp on it.  This would not allow us to determine an approx. length of time between ticket and business conducted. I will void as a one-time courtesy.  Thank you.

On November 28th, 2022 I parked in a Shoppers parking lot & went to go drop off my prescription to be filled & planned to pick it up later. When I came back to my car I had received a parking ticket. I immediately called & asked how to appeal this claim as I had went to the business that owned the parking lot & was confused why I would have received the ticket. They had said to file an appeal online (which I did that same day) but I never heard back about the decision despite having checked online periodically. I then received 2 notices in the mail in January 2023 (received 2 days apart) stating that I now owe late fees on top of the original fine & will be sent to collections. I emailed the company asking why I had received the notices as I had never heard back on a decision of the appeal filed. I was then told they had emailed a decision letter to me on November 29th, 2022. I never received an email or a letter in the mail. I then asked how I can prove that I was at the place of business as the ticket was completely inaccurate since I was at the business owned by the parking lot. I was then told on the phone that I needed to provide a receipt with a time stamp to prove it. I told the guy that I had dropped off a ********************** was purchased at that time as I had picked it up later. The guy on the phone then stated I would have to pay the ticket unless I could provide a time stamped receipt. I then called the pharmacy to ask if there was any way I could get a time stamped thing from when I dropped off the prescription. Thankfully they were able to provide me with something but the parking company stated that the decision was final & even with the time stamped proof, Id still have to pay. I have paid the ticket ($111.50) to avoid being sent to collections & having my credit affected. It is completely disheartening that they are just after the money even with the proof that I was conducting business at the place that owns the parking lot.

      Hi,

Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, and to prevent it from happening again in the future. Please note that this location is private property and all parking rules have been created by the property owner(s).  Diamond Parking has been hired to enforce these parking rules as posted on the property due to the unauthorized use on the facility.  This ticket was issued for a walk-off.  You are not permitted to leave the property without your vehicle for any amount of time before or after conducting business there.  This is stated on the signage.  In you original appeal you stated you went your doctors, which is off the property, prior to going to Shoppers Drug Mart.  This is not permitted, the reason the notice was issued and appeal denied.   I do however recognize you did appeal within the 10 days and will take into consideration you were honest about not receiving our response to your online appeal and will offer you a refund of the additional late charges that were paid.  To proceed with the refund of $31.50 please contact our office at ************ Mon-Fri  8am-5pm (PST) and quote your reference number. Thank you.  Have a great day!

We parked our rental car in a ParkMoble ******** in Ocean Beach ********* **. We registered the car through ParkMobile app and submitted payment at 12:45 pm. We walked the a restaurant and then checked our email (at ~12:50 pm) and realized the ParkMobile payment had not gone through. So we went back the the car (5 min. walk) to check the signage and make sure we scanned everything for the app correctly. But by that time we had a ticket already (12:57 pm). We contacted Diamond with pictures of proof of our attempt and good faith to pay the parking. But they categorically denied the claim and they refuse further communication. They seem like a predatory company.

My husband and I parked in a Diamond Parking lot in downtown ******* on 1/20. The lot we parked in had a sign for *********** (which is an online parking company I recognized and have used in the past) and underneath was a QR code and lot number stating to pay to park using a specific code. I input all the correct information and paid. We come back to our car within the allotted time frame and have received a citation from Diamond Parking. I have emailed them a screen shot of my receipt from *********** but apparently my receipt doesn't contain the correct information to over turn the ticket even though that all the information I was given by the company. My husband and I left within the allotted time frame but I don't have any proof of when we left the parking lot because the lot doesn't have any gates or guards when you drive in or out. I am extremely disappointed with this business practice and it feels like a scam to try and get extra money from people who are genuinely trying to follow the rules.

I parked in a parking lot managed by Diamond Parking Service in ************** ****. I followed the payment instructions on the sign located directly in front of the space I parked in. I paid $15 to park overnight from 5:51pm on Thu Jan 12, 2023 to 10:10am on Fri Jan 13, 2023. I received a parking notice from Diamond Parking Service at 9:20pm on Thu Jan 12, 2023which was well within the timeframe I had paid for parking. I disputed the ticket by emailing ************************************************* at 1:25pm on Fri Jan 13, 2023. The customer ********************** staff alleged that the parking lot I had "paid for was the incorrect lot for the one that you parked on." They offered to reduce the parking fee as a "one time courtesy." I followed up on Jan 15, ******************************************************************************************* as proof that I had followed the payment instructions correctly. Diamond Parking Service staff did not reply until I followed up once again on Jan 18, 2023, at which point they still claimed that the parking notice was issued correctly, despite my clear evidence to the contrary. I have not heard from Diamond Parking Service staff despite two follow up emails filled with all of the evidence needed to dismiss the claim in its entirety. Diamond Parking Service staff have consistently refused to recognize their mistake and continue to demand payment of an incorrectly issued parking notice. This is not only unethical, but also shows a concerning lack of staff training throughout the organization.
