I read over the articles about unfair parking ticket from Daimond Parking. Unfortunately, I got one on Monday Dec 23 just before Christmas at the location ***********************. ****** is my wife's birthday so I parked my car in the parking lot behind the bakery shop call Daily Delicious Bakery to pickup the cake. After 10 minutes when I get back to my car, I found myself a parking ticket saying "This vehicle had been parked within a reserved stall at the time the notice was issued. At the time the notice was issued, there had not been a permit displayed to indicate the vehicle was permitted to park."I went back to the parking lot and checked there is no sign showing the parking stall is a reserve stall. The sign I saw is showing 3 hours parking limit. I tried contact Daimond Parking and they denied my appeal and just request me to settle the payment ****. I'm here to seeking help for these unfair issue. I'm a careful person. I always check the parking rules and paid after I parked. This is my first parking ticket in my life.Business Response

I paid for parking at a Diamond Lot on 9/14/24 advertised at $40 for a football game. I paid via the Wiz app and the total ended up being more than advertised ($50.29 total). I arrived back at my car within 5 hours of the game start time and had a ticket on my dashboard. The ticket total was for $65.60 and I was charged $66.50 after paying the ticket. I have included 1) a copy of my ticket, and 2) both credit charges for the parking and the ticket. This company did not properly advertise their parking fees and they practiced predatory behavior against their consumers by seeking additional fees via parking tickets. I believe my initial payment should have covered me for the duration of the game. Given the distance to walk back to my vehicle there should be a grace ******* This is not the first experience I have had like this with Diamond and have heard the same from many others. Thus, I am filing a formal complaint with the BBB. I am requesting a refund of the ticket fee ($66.50) and hope that the BBB can ensure Diamond Parking is no longer able to take advantage of consumers via this ticket and fee practice.Business Response

They are hunting people down in the parking lot for briefly parking in a free parking designation. I submitted an appeal and they replied extremely rudely and said that my Apple Pay receipt doesnt count as real proof. What else am I supposed to give them? They assumed I was sleeping in my car, which is just not true because I was eating in the backseat, and either way not grounds for a parking ticket either. They are scammers and only ever target people they believe look vulnerable because I am a young, Asian woman. When I have been in this parking lot with other people, specifically older people who look to have more authority, I have never gotten this kind of treatment. It is completely wrong for them to specifically target students who are more easily scared into paying their outrageous fines. On top of that, after I first parked, I was tying my shoelaces and I saw the parking lot manager heading to my car with his scanner out. I had not even left my car and they were ready to ticket me. I was clearly targeted and victimized by this predatory man, and this ******* has completely lost a customer because of this ********************** corporation. None of their payment processes are explicitly explained and are clearly designed to exploit people for more money. I submitted an appeal and did not get any reply for 11 days. They then tried to close my appeal today, and I emailed back within 3 minutes, and only then did they respond with very deceiving and gaslighting information. I truly do not believe this business has fair practices, and charging me $113 for simply parking somewhere for less than 2 hours is outrageous. If they will absolutely not issue a refund, then I want a significant reduction of my ticket because this is outright exploitation of innocent civilians, and to police a small ******* parking lot is ridiculous.Business Response

Hi ******,
Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention regarding notice **********, we are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience as it is our goal at Diamond Parking to create happy and repeat parkers. As a courtesy, we will be refunding the $112.00 notice amount to the card ending in 2631.
To ensure that all ******* customers have available space to park while shopping at this location, we use a license plate tracking system that times the duration that vehicles are parked in the garage. Notice ********** was issued after your vehicle exceeded the 90-minute time limit for ******* customers as indicated by the posted signage in the garage. Your vehicle was first logged into the vehicle inventory by our attendant at 4:47 PM. The 90-minute interval expired at 6:17, leading to your vehicle receiving the notice shortly after when it was seen at 6:34PM.
Seeing that you are a resident of the HERE apartments, I understand the confusion in this instance; especially considering that you did make a purchase in the ******* store. However, the upper-level customer ********************** for ******* and the lower-level parking for HERE residents are two separate entities; thus, the 90-minute rule applies the same to both residents and non-residents. ******* purchases would in no instance constitute a validationas mentioned in your appeal. The customer ********************** section of the garage is for ******* customers only while actively shopping in ********
Your show of goodwill by paying the notice is appreciated and in the interest of avoiding this situation moving forward, please limit your parking session to 90-minutes or use the HERE resident parking on the lower level of the garage. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and we hope that you will consider parking with Diamond in the future.
Best,
Grayson Glass

Very deceptive business, issues parking violations without even looking for the parking pass and then when you dispute it with PICTURES they say it wasn't displayed in the lower left side of the windshield. My wife is 5'1" and putting this pass in the lower left of the windshield would obstruct her vision which is illegal.Business Response

I am filing a formal complaint against Diamond Parking Service regarding an unjust parking fee charged on September 8, 2024, at **************************************************. On this date, I parked my vehicle at the lot, unaware that it was designated as a "Seahawks Event Day," which supposedly required a $65 parking fee.The Incident:Upon parking, I followed the instructions displayed at the parking lot by scanning the provided QR code. This action led me to the PayByPhone app, where I attempted to pay the parking fee. However, the parking location was not listed or appeared incorrectly in the app, making it impossible for me to pay through the provided method. There was no clear sign, notice, or visible indication that the parking fee for that day was $65 due to a special event. Additionally, no alternative payment method or updated information was made available on-site or through the app.The Issue:After failing to pay through the app due to incorrect information, I assumed parking enforcement might not be active or that payment was not required. To my surprise, I later received a parking violation notice (#**********)stating that I owed $65 due to the special event fee. This fine was imposed without any visible signs or notices informing customers of the increased fee or alternate payment methods. The lack of clear communication appears to be a deliberate attempt to trap customers into fines, as many would naturally expect correct and up-to-date information to be provided through the official app or visible signs on-site.Requested Resolution:I strongly believe that the fine was unfairly imposed due to misleading and incomplete information provided. I request a full refund of the $65 parking fee due to the companys failure to provide accurate, visible, and updated information at the parking lot and in its associated payment system.Business Response

Hello,
My name is ***, and I am an Area Manager for Diamond Parking and manage this lot.I wanted to take a moment to respond to you regarding your notice from September 9, 2024.
For reference, Diamond Parking manages this parking lot for *********************** in the International District.(C-ID) This location is Reserved during Banking hours and is a paid parking lot at all other times.
On Event Days, we have an A-Frame sign with the Event Rate posted, at the entrance of the Lot.
After reading your comments, I understand that you were trying to pay using Pay By Phone. That is not a payment option that is available at this location.
We offer two different mobile payment options for your convenience (Park Mobile and ParkWiz). There are multiple payment signs throughout the lot showing our mobile payment options. We also have our Terms and Conditions for parking posted as well.
The Event Rate for this days Event was $50.00 plus taxes ($62.43)
I do see that this is your first notice with our Seattle Office. As a courtesy,Diamond Parking is going to waive the notice, and refund your payment.
Please note that when parking, you are responsible for making payment if you decide to park. More importantly, understand the rules of the lot, as parking in any unfamiliar place can put your vehicle in jeopardy of being towed by the owner of that property.
Please keep my information handy and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns in the future.
Have a great rest of your day,
***

12/14/24:- Received a parking ticket inside parking lot reserved for Dicks parking. This parking ticket is invalid because I was there to get food. My girlfriend didnt want dicks, and ordered food from a ****************** across the street. It was ready so I picked it up. It was less than 2 minutes I was gone from my car. When I went to throw the food in my car to get a burger from Dicks, someone was putting a ticket on my car and taking a picture. It is $75, so there was no way I was going to get a burger. Someone definitely was being predatory here.Business Response

Business Name: Diamond Parking Ltd.Address: ************************** V3R 0J7 Website: ************************************* Date of Incident: December 5, 2024 Location: ********************, *************************************** Parking Ticket Number: ******** Complaint Details:Description of the Issue:On the date in question, I parked briefly in what was marked as a loading zone to retrieve audiovisual equipment from ********************. This visit was pre-arranged with the owner of the restaurant (closed to the public at the time), and I was at the location for fewer than 10 minutes.I received a parking ticket for unauthorized parking, with Diamond Parking stating that my vehicle was parked in a reserved stall without displaying a permit. However:There was no clear signage indicating that a permit was required to use the loading zone. The purpose of my visit was strictly for loading/unloading, which aligns with the designated use of such zones. While I understand the importance of parking enforcement, I would like to emphasize that the parking fee at this location was under $3. Had I been aware that a payment or permit was required, I would have gladly complied. There was no intention on my part to park improperly, and the situation could have been easily avoided with clearer signage.Despite my appeal and clarification to Diamond Parking, my dispute was denied, and they have insisted on payment. They have not provided evidence of clear signage or why a permit was necessary for a loading area.Resolution Requested:I request the cancellation of this parking ticket on the grounds that:I was conducting legitimate loading activity. There was no adequate signage requiring a permit for such use.I would also like Diamond Parking to review their signage and enforcement practices to ensure clarity and fairness in the future.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I hope the BBB can assist in resolving this issue fairly.Sincerely,******* ***Business Response

Hello,
Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future. This location is private property and has the parking rules posted. It is to be monitored at the request of the property manager, and Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location faces due to unauthorized use. I have reviewed the ticket and see it was issued for unauthorized parking as they were parked in a stall reserved strictly as loading zone. In the online appeal, it was stated they parked in this stall for loading, however, there was no necessary permit displayed (no commercial permit on corner windshield or on dash). This is common practice for any courier/commercial delivery company requiring to utilize a loading zone area/stall. There was also no documentation submitted related to a delivery and/or state the business requiring utilizing the loading zone area/stall, such as a work order etc. If there is more info to submit, I would be more than happy to review or if there are any further questions I can be reached directly at ***********************************************************************

I am rejecting this response because :
Dear ******,
Thank you for reviewing my appeal and providing clarification regarding the parking notice. I appreciate the explanation about the rules for using the loading zone and the requirement for a commercial permit.
At the time, I was not aware that a commercial plate or permit was necessary to use the loading zone. The signage on-site did not make this requirement clear, and I genuinely believed I was using the space appropriately for loading purposes. I now understand the rules better and will ensure I comply fully in the future.
I anticipate providing services at ******************** in the future, and to avoid any misunderstandings, I will make sure I follow the necessary rules. Additionally, I will inform the owners of ****** about these requirements so they are also aware.
Given this misunderstanding and my intention to adhere to the rules moving forward, I kindly request that the notice be waived as a one-time exception. I was only parked briefly while loading equipment for a business-related task, and this was an honest oversight.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Please let me know if there is any further information I can provide.

Complaint: 22674723Dear ******,
Thank you for reviewing my appeal and offering a reduction as a one-time courtesy. I appreciate the effort to address this situation.
However, I would like to clarify that I remain confident that I used the loading zone appropriately for its intended purpose. At the time, there was no clear indication on the signage that a commercial plate or permit was required. My brief stop at the location was strictly for business-related loading activity, which I believe falls within the intended use of the space.
I kindly request that the ticket be waived given the circumstances. However, if this is not possible, I am willing to pay the equivalent of the hourly parking rate that would have applied at the location, as this reflects my intended compliance with the parking rules. I hope that this can be considered a fair and reasonable resolution.
While I value your time and consideration, I respectfully maintain my position that this ticket was issued under unclear circumstances. I also hope that this feedback can contribute to clearer guidelines or signage at this location in the future to prevent similar misunderstandings.
Thank you again for your attention to this matter. Please let me know if there are further steps I should take.

I parked at one of their parking lots. The board in front of the parking said customer ********************** 3 hrs. It never mentioned anything else. Once I came back to my car, I saw a parking ticket of $86.50 I have no clue why they gave me this ticket. I will not be paying it. I also disputed the ticket with them on their website but they denied my claim. They are scamming people of their money. There are many posts on the internet that talks about how they issue tickets without valid reason.Business Response

MANAGER PARKING SERVICES ******Customer Answer

I appreciate your prompt response, but I must respectfully emphasize that the responsibility for this situation lies with your company due to inadequate signage.
The parking spot in question was marked only as "Reserved Parking" with no indication of a corresponding unit number. As a result, there was no way for me, as a visitor, to reasonably determine that this space was allocated to a specific unit or individual. Clear and visible signage is essential to inform the public of such restrictions. Since your company is unable to provide evidence that a unit number was posted at the time I parked, it confirms that I had no fair means of knowing the space was unavailable for public use.
While I understand that Diamond Parking is contracted to enforce parking rules, it is still the responsibility of the parking management to ensure that signage is clear, visible, and sufficient to inform visitors. Without a posted unit number or clear instructions in the lot, there was no reasonable way for me to identify that this particular space was restricted to a specific tenant. The attached photo you provided does not address the lack of this critical information at the time of parking.
Without clear instructions or a designated unit number on display, I could not have been reasonably expected to know the parking spot was off-limits to me. Any ambiguity in signage is the responsibility of the parking management, not the driver.
Given these circumstances, I respectfully request that this ticket be dismissed immediately. I believe this is the most reasonable and fair outcome based on the facts presented. I would appreciate a written confirmation that the ticket has been voided.
Regards,
Kiran
