I brought my vehicle to them after it was in an accident. They were paid $6000 for repairs and they were not done correctly. They are aware and say they will fix the problem but can never get me in to get it done. I would like a refund so j can go elsewhere.

I purchased a 2018 Cadillac Escalade on 3/12/22 with ****** miles on it. I purchased an extended warranty for an additional $4200 that was supposed to cover the vehicle for 84 months or ******* miles over the current mileage. It currently has ******* miles on it, is at a Cadillac dealership for repairs and the extended warranty will not cover it because they said my warranty only covers up to ******* miles. I have spoken to the dealership several times explaining that is not what I purchased and they will not do anything to make this right.

      Business Response

      Date: 01/01/2024

We're sorry that Ms. *********************************** misunderstood that the warranty covered to ******* miles, not and additional ******* miles.  However, she has claimed around $13,000 in repairs from the warranty, so believe she has received fair compensation.  All that said, our team has offered her a discounted rate on repairs, and we are happy to do so.

I traded in my car to lower my payment with ************************* Dealership of ********, ** (they have been wonderful to work with. I traded in my 2021 ***** Accord that I bought through Kunes of Sycamore and I had an extended warranty. I had a new financing company that paid off the remaining balance. I was supposed to receive the remaining balance of the warranty from the 2021 Accord which was VSC - $1785.87 GAP - $607.78 totaled $2393.65 through TruWarranty(which I have email receipts of). They told me to cancel through the dealership which I drove from ******* to ******** to do so. The finance manager watched me do it and said I should receive a check in 6-8 weeks. Which I waited for and it has been 10 weeks and no check yet. I received a call from the dealership on 10/25/23 saying that I should receive the check and it has been cancelled. I have followed up with both TruWarranty and Kunes Sycamore (the dealership that sold me the original car). After not receiving any check, I have tried calling and emailing both the warranty company and dealership multiple times to get an update and and answer and no response. Nothing from my old financier (Chase Bank)I would like to know where this money has gone because legally I am supposed to get this check and have not received that money. Thank you

In August of 2023 my and my girlfriend were in search of a new car, Kunes had uploaded one for $15000 2015 jeep grand Cherokee after wed settled and purchased it we paid $17140 to a loan, in one week of purchasing the vehicle it had no engine coolant (little to none), no wiper fluid, bad oil, broken wiper blades, broken fluid nozzles, bad rotors, ball joints, break pads, the tires were going bald, one even popped at a ******* at 8pm, had to pay for that fix, now after 4 months the car clicks when it turns, and is having electronic issues, when all this was brought to there attention they said oh thats normal wear and tear. Selling a car with no alignment, incredibly bad breaks is not wear and tear thats how you sold me it!! On top of the the led plate lights were melted causing me to get pulled over 3 times before they agreed to fix the problem.

Great!  This isn't something we can resolve through an online discussion.  Trading in your vehicle will involve credit approvals, finding a new vehicle, appraising your current & paying off the loan, etc. We will work with you to do our very best to get you into a different vehicle that suits you better.

This is a surprising complaint.  Brakes were serviced by another company, and Mr. ****** brought it in - there was a missing caliper bolt from that repair that has been replaced, but aside from that we have not received complaints.  However, if **************** is still not happy with the vehicle, we can assist with a trade in.

Kunes has a 2007 ******** suv listed on the internet for $7,500. We drove over an hour to look at this, after receiving a text that it was available. Upon arrival, the vehicle had a sticker in the window saying it wasnt for sale. ******** said it hadnt been inspected yet, but it was available. The sticker was on there in case someone from the state showed up, they wouldnt get in trouble for trying to sell a vehicle that wasnt inspected because of ********* laws. They confirmed it was $7500. We drove it, liked it, gave our information, signed a document, they valued our trade, and we were ready to pay cash on the spot. When the final sales sheet was set in front of us, the price was over ******. They said they gave us a **** discount. Laid a repair sheet in front of us with ***** dollars worth of parts installed, and said that was why the price went up. I was told it had not been inspected, but they knew about all these repairs it needed, which they completed. Out the door was just over *****. We offered *****. Finance manager came out and said they forgot to add their labor cost, and the ***** would not be the price, either. It would be going higher. This was 12-16-23 around 12:00pm. As of 7:00am 12-17-23 the vehicle is still listed for $7500 on carfax. Now, the dealer ***** says $9,900. Complete waste of our day, and we still do not have a replacement vehicle. Zero stars, in my book, and I will not go back to kunes for anything in the future.

      Business Response

      Date: 12/19/2023

We are sorry for your frustration.  Our team did show an out-the-door sum of $8852 which is the $7500 internet price + $499 ******************** fee + $351 title & licensing fee + $502 tax.   Showing the anticipated repair cost was explained as our cost that would not be passed on to you but, yes, the online price has been raised to cover the reconditioning costs we incurred.

We were indeed honoring the $7500 internet price, and it is our prerogative (as it is yours) to accept or reject lower offers - we chose to reject your offer of $8000 even all-in, that essentially took the selling price $6650.  Our intent in showing you the reconditioning costs that will be completed was to show you that this indeed was a great price, and we could not accept lower.

Took my Jeep into Kunes Jeep of Elkhorn on 10-2-23 for the required "maintenance" updates for the transmission and 4 wheel drive. The moment I left the dealership I noticed a problem when turning/driving. My jeep would vibrate almost like it was in 4 wheel drive while turning corners and in reverse as well. (this was NOT a problem prior to the updates) On 10-10-23 I took my Jeep back to Kunes and was told that there was nothing wrong with it. Full inspection was supposedly done. Again, noticed the problem and told them that the issue was not fixed and this isn't normal. On 10-26-23 I took my Jeep in for the third time and was told that they think that my Jeep was slipping into 4 wheel drive on its own and that they took it apart and cleaned it up and was told that my jeep was fixed and that they would drop the vehicle off at my house and mail me an invoice that should have had the work that was done listed. I was not charged for the for October 10th and October 26th but was told that if I brought the vehicle back in that I would have to pay for services. Upon driving my Jeep once again, nothing had changed. Still had the same grinding/vibrating. It was not fixed. Nothing was done to it. I still have not received a copy of the invoice from the 26th and I requested it twice. I filed a claim with Jeep and was advised to take my vehicle to a different dealership on 11-13-23. Upon full inspection, they found that there was a noticeable transmission issue. Findings: they changed the transmission heater because it was leaking and the fluid was quite low and stated that there was no way the transmission fluid was changed back in October. Something that any dealership would have noticed doing an inspection. So here I paid for these two required updates roughly $900 just to have nothing but issues when I got it back and talked to as if my concerns weren't valid!

I'm September, when I refinanced my vehicle purchased at this location I was told to contact the old service contact provider to cancel the contract. I did so and followed all their instructions, submitting everything September 19th 2023. Their end result was forwarding everything back to the dealerships business office where the refund of the unused portion of the contract would be handled. I have waited until November with no action. I started calling every week in November. Every time I called I was transferred to someone's voicemail, never to get a return call. I did say I would come in person but sitting at a dealership 45 miles from my home requires more time than I seen to have so I haven't gone. I have given up calling because last time I went through trying to get assistance with something after refinancing I also had to repeatedly call, leave voicemails and wait forever. I also tried emailing in November with no reply. I am trying to find out what is going on with this cancellation and refund. The yellow note on the old service contract is written by someone at Kunes and handed to me on the date of refinance by *** the sales associate that did the refinance. I have also reached out to the old provider with no luck.

In TYPICAL KUNES business, after waiting THREE MORE WEEKS for this so called gift card to come, it has not yet came!!!!Kunes most definitely, intentionally & deliberately act out of ************************** When **** called me & clearly said the baseline totalfor the never wanted extra ************************* would be $6000 and then said "so, what's the problem?" The problem is you PURPOSELY made the choice to ONLY cut a check for $5600.The $100 gift card that was SUPPOSED to be sent to me & WASN'T doesn't even come close to compensation of this AWFUL 5 month experience of lies, ****************** This came at a LARGE price tag to me! My daughter's RUINED experience of buying her first car. I can't fix that or give her a new experience & that is a pricelss cost. I had to miss 2 different days of work (2- 12 hr shifts) having to drive 1 1/2 hrs one way to come deal with this vehicle, talk to someone in person because no would return calls for WEEKS. Countless hrs on the phone trying to reach anyone, about the continued problems of where the money is. I had to do the employees JOB. The past 5 months have caused so much unnecessary anxiety, anger, frustration, & stress, micromanaging everyone at this company to literally just DO THEIR JOB in an honest way & follow through on their promises & commitments. Time lost with my other 2 kids making calls and trips to *******, another PRICELESS price tag. From July 19th, 2023, when the car was "sold" having an appt to see this vehicle, "finding the vehicle", next day picking up car, the keys to the vehicle were lost & then a very hurried & awful detailing job was done, to all phone calls & trips for 5 months, to an intentional act to only send $5600 of the $6000 to the bank. This was a choice to purposely do wrong. The lack of integrity from ya'll is unacceptable as individuals, but absolutely disgraceful from a company of 27 years such as this. There is nothing reputable about this type of conduct over the past 5 months.

I purchased my vehicle on September 29th, 2023 and within 3 weeks my check engine light came on. I took my car back to the dealership and they informed me that I needed 2 new catalytic converters at a cost of $4,000
I spoke with management (****) he said they were working on it with the warranty team and would like to fix the problem. I attempted several times to contact **** and he never returned my calls. I only had this car for 3 weeks, I feel as they have sold me a lemon. I filled out a survey and **** sent me a message that he wanted to make this a positive experience, his lack of communication and concern to make things right is very disheartening. I feel like they just don't care what their customers are going through. Because of the check engine light I cannot use my remote start which was a huge factor in buying the car. I am retired and on a fixed income and cannot afford another $4,000 repair on a car I owned for only 3 weeks.
      Thank you
