at closing I was blindsided with an ''additional service fee" of $499. I told the salesman **** that I wasn't ok with the additional charges ! He said "oh we all charge that" and continued to ramble on about how I'd got such a great deal. During negotiations outside in the lot I'd asked him for help with the wiring on the camper if there was a problem...he said "we'll work on that" leading me to believe KUNES RV would help with that as part of the deal ! Well after they were PAID IN FULL AT THE SERVICE MANAGERS' DESK, I WAS TOLD THAT IF I NEEDED HELP W/THE WIRING THAT'D BE AN **** "LABOR CHARGE" NOW I ASK YOU WHAT SERVICE DID I AT ALL RECIEVE FOR THE **** $ 499 DOLLAR SERVICE FEE ??? We're very sorry that Mr. Toeller felt blindsided as the $499 ******************** fee is added to all RVs and vehicles and, per ********* statute, cannot be removed for any single customer. Our pricing online is disclosed that "All prices exclude sales tax, title, registration, delivery fees, and documentary service fee, (service fee varies by state as follows: $499 *********, $347.26 ********, $125 *********)." My grandma ******************* and I bought a car from them in August of 2022. The **** in the contract is different than what we agreed too. They added over 8 thousand dollars in warranties on top of my loan, never gave us copies of the paper work and had my grandma sign through a tablet. She did not sign paper work agreeing to any of the added warranties. There is items and services listed in the "we owe" portion of the contract that they refuse to complete. I've had issues with my car since day 1. It's been to their shop numerous times with out a resolution. My payments are $150 higher than agreed on. I've contacted corporate, the *** and spoke to multiple managers all 1 time each with a promise from each of them to call me back with appointments, solutions and so on and haven't been able to reach them since. My car doesn't even book for what my loan is. It's worth $15,000 and my loan is over $28,000. We never agreed to that. They are already under a law suit. I have several screenshots of conversations between salesmen and myself as well as screenshots from social media where several other people have the exact same complaints as us. We've worked with **************** through a number of service issues - much of those were scheduling complications and we believe are now resolved. We believe all products purchased and pricing was fully disclosed and paperwork provided at the time of purchase.
Regardless, one year after purchase, a simple refund is not a possibility as the vehicle is registered and titled appropriately. If ******************** grandmother would like to discuss trading in her vehicle that suits her current needs, we would be very interested in assisting.

Bought a 2018 **** F-150 from Kunes CJRD on 9/16/23 with ****** miles. ***** was delivered to my house in *********, ** that Saturday. The following morning I discovered a serious vibration, and brought the truck to ********* the following Monday to have the tires rotated and balanced, which was unsuccessful. In turn I brought the truck to ********************* for a full inspection, where the following issues had been discovered:- Tires unevenly worn beyond ability to balance - needed replacement - Engine was blown and had been replaced (never mentioned in the condition report)- Front pinion seal is leaking (would have been caught by any visual inspection)- Air charge tube is leaking and must be replaced - All emissions equipment had been deleted Dealer promised to send me a check for the shock repair $517.21, which I still haven't seen. I replaced the tires per ****'s suggestion at the cost of $1,240.83, and have another upcoming repair of $1,073.10 for the pinion seal and charge air tube. Sales Manager *************************** has told me the dealership does not intend to reimburse me despite his promises to "make things right," and also despite my buying the dealership's extended warranty.Business Response

Kunes lied at a bank about my monthly gross to get me approved for a car that I could not afford. When I told them that I could not afford the car, they pressured me into getting it. I kept trying to leave but they kept telling me that no other car lot will take the car that I was trying to refinance.Business Response

This complaint comes as a great surprise to **... yes, the vehicle was more expensive than others she looked at, but the credit application with income was signed by customer, and, until this complaint, we believed there was complete satisfaction, including a great review. Had gone in looking fowards to trade in my truck , had my truck loan paid off thinking i had a bank deal when i drove off the lot . fast forward 3 months i was still driving with no bank deal at this point i was over it going back and forth so i asked for my refund . since they called on a Thursday the sales manager stated she would call me back in 30 minutes . since i had not received a call back i sent a message to the sales person to see the status of the refund. did not get any communication or response till Monday i went to return the car expecting my refund but they stated no one was there to give me the refund!!!! its been 3 days and i feel like we have to harass them to even get a response. not to mention i added a brand new battery and had a copayment to fix something on it. whole time the truck was not even mine . sales manager stated it would have to be approved by the manager !!! horrible service and experience . if someone is asking for a refund cause they need the money why not have communication when everything they asked for was given back !!! .Business Response

********************** deposit is being refunded her deposit and should receive it in the mail within the week. She has requested additional compensation that we are not willing to provide. Unfortunately, while in the buying process, some financial information changed and the lender did not finalize the loan. During that time, ********************** negative equity on her trade-in vehicle was paid off by the store, and the vehicle that she was intending on purchasing required some maintenance (ie - an oil change, etc). We feel that the monies that we paid to perfect her former loan far surpass any regular maintenance that was required as a result of her use of the vehicle, and those expenses will not be reimbursed.Customer Answer

We feel we've been very clear with ****************** and not sure why there is confusion. We outlaid significant funds to pay off her prior loan that had considerable negative equity. We kept $400 of her initial deposit to re-coop some of these monies (not all), and explained that to ******************* Further, she has since disputed the original charge after receiving her refund, so we've likely refunded her twice. She is now way ahead on a deal that could not be completed due to the inability to perfect the initial loan.

You guys were never CLEAR on anything i had to keep going to the dealership to get my money back when i asked why was 400 not given they said they will get back to me from my understanding it was only 200 deducted ! I was given this information my krissen now you guys have originally kept 600 from me . It was supposed to be ***** from my down payment and 367 from what i put in the truck.******* informed me they were only deducting the 200 from what i spent on the battery ! I never was once told i was getting charged for what you guys decided to pay off on my other car loan ! There was never no problem with that when i had the car but once i decided i didnt want to make business they started stating they were keeping money from them paying the loan . If that was the case they shouldnve said that since the beginning! You guys agreed to pay off my loan with no if or buts in the beginning.. but yes I originally disputed the charges bc you guys were playing games with MY money . Its unprofessional to have to find out information out of a complaint made to the BBB . Because if someone calls or goes in person you lack communication. Ive never even received any paperwork back or got any paper work from what i signed saying they were paying off the car loan . Plus they OVER payed my car loan so if they want what they over payed why havent they contacted my old financial loaner? Im so glad i didnt make business with them . And no i didnt get payed over twice for them . And ill never probably see the money.

I purchased a 2018 F250 from this dealership in January of 2023. In May I traded that vehicle in to **************************** and the loan was paid in full. I then sent in a request to have the *** policy and extended service policy cancelled for the truck that I traded in. I called Kunes and the directed me to their product support page where I filled everything out correctly and sent it in. That was July 3rd, it said to allow four weeks for processing. When four weeks passed I called Kunes again and when I could finally get someone on the phone they sent me to the same site to do the same thing. Instead I went right to the companies that provided the *** and warranty service and canclled through them. The *** policy was cancelled and processed with check sent to Kunes on 8/28 and the warranty refund check was sent on 8/29. Kunes now has the refund money and when I call they say the will call me back and they dont. When I returned a call from the general manager ***************************** he texted me and said I have the wrong number. It has now been over ********************************************************************* getting the same run around.Business Response

Purchased a no fear certified used truck from Kunes **** of ******* for $40k. Drove the vehicle to work 2 times and the front brakes are grinding. Took the vehicle in to have it looked as Kunes asked me to do on a Saturday. Was told to bring the vehicle back on Monday because the person who needed to approve the services wasnt in. Drove the vehicle to the service department anyways because it was not safe to drive. Showed the service team at which point they kept the vehicle and said they would repair Monday. Called Monday, Tuesday and finally Wednesday after several calls they told me the rear axle is bent as well. There were several attempts to hear what was going on on. Several people said well call you back but never did. They said the parts would take a week to come in. I called to ask if they were still planning on fixing the brake issue as that is what I originally brought it in for and didnt even know about the rear axle. It has been over a week and I havent had a vehicle. I continue to call but only get passed around without being given a straight answer.Business Response

I purchased a Certified used 2022 ****** Frontier from this company and a month later during a downpour my front windshield leaked into my dash and I had water coming out of my vents. I took to a ****** dealer in ***** ******** because the repair shop at Kunes **** in Sterling couldnt find the problem.************************************ in ***** said this one year old vehicle had the windshield replaced and it was a very poor job and it leaks.Kunes **** in Sterling refuses to replace it unless I sign a waiver releasing them from liability for any damage a water leak may have caused to all the electronic equipment in the dash.I refuse and they refuse to replace the windshield on a CERTIFIED used vehicle. I would have accepted a replacement windshield without the waiver and if you can contact them and convince them its the honorable thing to do I still will. But if they insist on not backing their product I would want them to buy out my loan and reimburse me for all the money I have paid on it and anything else I may be ***********.I believe any arbiter or judge would agree I have a reasonable expectation to not have a windshield that leaks into into my dash on a one year old CERTIFIED used vehicle,Business Response

We're very sorry for ******************** frustration, but we have tried to resolve his issue in a beneficial way. The windshield replacement does not appear on a CarFax report, so the information was not available for our team to disclose, and isn't part of a normal inspection. Our No Fear Certification, the Certified that ******************** is referring to, is a Power Train warranty, and, of course, would not cover a windshield.
Regardless, we have offered to replace the windshield at our complete expense, at his convenience and at the shop of his choosing. As with any repair of this nature, (ie - fixing a problem that could not be known at the time of sale and is not a safety concern), we did indeed ask for ****************** to sign accepting that this was the only repair that we are accepting the charge for. This has not been acceptable to ********************, and is asking for further compensation including a loaner that he can tow a boat with (our insurance will not allow that), and a comprehensive warranty for his vehicle. We believe our offer to replace the windshield to his liking at our expense is very fair and appropriate, and do need the liability sign off from ********************* That offer is still available, but ******************** has indicated that he prefer not to speak with us, rather text only. We're eager to connect with him and complete this repair for him.

The reply as concerning this was an issue they couldnt be aware of before the sale is not something I believe to be accurate. This windshield leaks when it goes through a car wash and theres water dripping from the vents. Whatever their reason for missing the fact that the windshield leaks into the dash when its washed or it rains, plus theres a ****** stamp on original windshield that if they looked close enough as to why it was leaking they would have spotted it. This is a failure to properly inspect this vehicle on their part not mine. Maybe they should reassess their inspection standards to include leaking windshields in future.
Now they want to me to assume responsibility for their shortcomings.I still am willing to have them pay for a replacement windshield plus recalibration but I am not signing a waiver releasing Kunes from and assuming responsibility for something that was not my fault.
Kunes ****** ********* and the ****** Company can argue about any issues should they arise
I am willing to sign a waiver for Sterling Kunes **** if their offer of a replacement windshield includes recalibration of the electronic components. I have found out this is a process that needs done when a windshield is installed on a vehicle like mine and believe that I need to specify that is included in my agreement.
I sincerely wish for this issue to be resolved so we all can move forward.
